Seems like something happened in the driveway that caused the raking and repairing the fence.
I have the total opposite perspective. We wouldn't know about the fence if DM hadn't told us, unprompted. We wouldn't know about the driveway if JM hadn't told us, unprompted. In a case where we have very few details, it doesn't seem very likely to me that either of these events are related to the children's disappearance. DM & JM are already being selective (IMO) about what information they are sharing with the media; for example, the obvious question about why DM & JM cannot see Meadow or his other biological children. I just don't believe that they would openly share critical evidence with us.

My impression is that both of these statements were made in response to ongoing criticism about the condition of their property. Both statements suggested that DM & JM were taking steps to improve things. As noted earlier, considerable efforts were made to improve the look of the property between early May and the CBC interview.

Thoughts: .........why did LE search JM trailer 3x. After an initial search, then a detailed search, what was so interesting that it required a third scrutiny in a small RV
...........................Why would a woman walk the kids in the bush, when she’s having difficulty walking in driveway? Maybe she is referring to in earlier years when she was fitter? But then J would be younger and smaller??
...........................Why are RCMP in New Brunswick being utilized? I know why Ont is, but why NB? Is that where MBM is?
............................Strange that everyone seems to be doing yard work the evening before? It was about 12 degree C, no rain and a gentle breeze around supper time. I also see nothing to compare dirt from earlier photos, other than a strange square shape hole? or maybe a board on driveway?
Time to bring in the excavator or ground penetrator machines!

I think JM is trying to portray a caring loving attentive gran who knew those kids inside and out. Maybe she was, and maybe she is guilty of something or maybe just feeling the guilt of "what if I had've"... etc.
Am I missing something? There was no gate on that fencing in earlier photos???
And she always says she heard the kids, but never saw the kids. I don't think her statement gives an accurate time line, but rather a possible time line.
And the initial release of her cbc video has been edited, there are significant remarks made,, which I can no longer add as proof, too bad, there was info there that shed a sig light. Maybe that's why it was edited?
............................One important question is where is DM lately?

Agree.
They could be selective d/t counselling to be selective, or they have created a story line, coached each other and are sticking to it.
I think there is more truth to the initial excitement time frame as they were probably saying things without thinking.
I think we noticed the area of fence fixing was in the very back beside a little shack, that looked like new wood vs the orange plastic construction stuff.
And yes, the whole place appears to have had a clean up, and I agree it's d/t the online comments and possibility of trying to improve the overall lifestyle for the possible return of Meadow.
I don't have any clue what happened to these kids, they didn't go into that bush alone.
Was it a hit and run on side of hwy? Might have been, but if ravines were all checked then driver would have had to stopped and removed the bodies. Don't think that happened.
Stranger abduction... planets would have had to align and the moon in Aquarius...lol
Were any of these people capable of homocide? I can't personally understand how that happens to children, but apparently it does, so no I don't think they are
Feigned abduction for safety. And I think DM and JM don't honestly know what transpired with that.

They are now in recovery mode ie trying to get Meadow back, into DM custody, so will do or say whatever it takes to prove they are good people with a safe home. Maybe I can see thru their false statements and execution of their words? But I don't believe JM.I don't get the impression she cared about the kids, but I bet she does about Meadow. Blood is thicker than water.

No rain that night? Didn't Janie say it was all muddy out in the driveway?

  • #445
Yes, she did... I'll go back to Govt Canada weather site and recheck
Upper Stewiacke is the closes weather station to their area. No rain on May 1, but had 1mm or rain early the morning before, and zero the day before that. Cdn Weather site
They could have run off from the bush all spring long draining down into driveway, esp if there was a large snow melt.

I just watched her video again and they edited out everything about the pool and her raking.

My new theory is possibly the kids got hit by a car in the driveway by someone in the family and they covered the blood evidence up by removing fence slats and washing away all the blood in the driveway.

Ahh snow melting. I didn't think of that.

Frustrating with the editing, because when you go to discuss something in it, and then they edit, it's no longer acceptable here. Time to enter Darrin Geddes (a family member from MBM side)..... fingers crossed he is still in the latest edited version of JM CBC interview....will check....yes at 1:27. He gives his impression of the work being done on case, I'm not discussing that here, but if anyone can find the non edited version he discusses DM.
Also in that same unedited video is a statement that JM makes re her neighbour. Does anyone remember it? It was just before the time frame when she is talking about staying out back and not liking the camera,
All possibly removed due to accusatory statements and potential litigation, and nothing to prove their statements. I posted a while back about whether he was safe to discuss or too risky.

Hmm interesting it's been edited out 🤔

catching up with the JM interview on CBC.

Her demeanor is very interesting to me. She is immediately defensive while explaining she doesn't believe the children are in the woods, because of how thoroughly it was searched. but she espouses that the children are alive, out there (somewhere). I don't feel that to be the case.

Her demeanor is (to me) suggestive that she is tired of all this hubbub, defensive (maybe on her own behalf, maybe on behalf of DM) and that the children are in some far away from here place alive and well, but not here, nothing at all to see here, they've already searched my trailer three times FGS.

Why bother doing an interview if the vibe is just - nothing to see here look elsewhere? JMO

I do think DM and now JM are following and editing the narrative of what is being said and highlighted on SM .

Are people focusing in on the raking and the making of speculative or conspiratorial assumptions making them rethink and edit the videos accordingly

Good points. This affirms my opinion that folks associated with a high profile incident should NEVER give interviews. It does them no good, every little detail gets turned this way and that until it becomes fuel for blame.

Yes @ticya she comes across as somewhat cantankerous and is irritated by the focus of attention on her property. In all honesty it was like a show and tell of how well the property looks and an tiktok Q&A style interview

She definitely comes across as super defensive. I guess that could be due to reading so much criticism online about her and her family, the state of the property, etc. I think any of us would feel defensive in that situation. Or, it could be some level of guilt (whether applicable or not) that she didn't get up earlier and missed the kids disappearing? Who knows. She might always sound like that.

One thing I learned from the unedited version of that interview:

That silent sliding back door is not silent. JMO

ETA they didn't do her any favors by editing that interview and cutting the extended tour she provided. By cutting all of that in favor of the "they searched my trailer THREE times" shorter version actually makes her seem irritated and abrupt. But what ended up edited out was where IMO the meat and potatoes live.

Here is the video on a different website. She starts discussing the pool around 5:30. She says the bootprint was found in the mud where she was raking that night. Who rakes in the mud?

Silent? No.
Very quiet, smoothe glide and likely not a sound you'd hear in the back bedroom where mom & DM allegedly were? Yes, seems reasonable to me.

I actually went and opened & closed mine after hearing theirs in the interview. Theirs is MUCH quieter than mine for sure. Given the age of the mobile, that surprised me.

Not true, don’t know what you’re watching but the video was taken by CBC. See @ 5:35 when she talks about raking and the area she points out is not the driveway.

I have! When we had a cottage it was far easier to level the gravel ground when it was damp/wet than hard-as-rock dry. A bit messy but far easier.
