I agree about unused apps as you state.

But this was an app she relied on to communicate in the remote area where the trailer was that she lived at.
Until she left and no longer needed it and/or wanted it.

Hey will you link the article that points to her only using it because of where she lived and removing it for the reason of leaving the area? I might have missed it

What I mean is, it might not have been that she deliberately went to delete that app specifically, but maybe she needed to download a new app to pay for parking in the city or something and her phone was like "hey you need more space, you haven't used RuralTextApp recently, how about you delete that" and she just thought "oh yeah now that I have Wi-Fi I won't need that one". I deleted Whatsapp to clear some space on my phone once and I absolutely did not realize that I was deleting conversation history by doing that. I thought it was like PayPal where the information exists independently of the app and you can just redownload it and get it all back by signing in.

I believe that the police have the answers to these questions and many more according to their investigative protocol whenever a child goes missing. After all, we know that there were lengthy interviews.

I'm not convinced that speculating on the answers is helpful for finding the children. In fact, it can be harmful. Imagine if we decide the parents didn't measure up to our standard. I believe that parent blaming can create a prejudice that leads the community away from supporting the work to recover the kids.
With all due respect I think the media has portrayed the parents poorly, not websleuths.

I appreciate you explaining and yes I agree it may have been done without a second thought .

My opinion is surrounding the circumstances in which it was deleted . But sure the rcmp still gained access so nothing was lost . I just think it raises the question of priorities. Is your priority in those sad circumstances updating fb status ,deleting apps or trying to keep it together and focusing on finding your kids

I also feel the action threw shade at mbm from a public perspective and prehaps started the unwarranted accusations her way . People tend to latch on to things like that and that can draw away public support for a parent and remove focus off the people that matter which is lilly and jack don't you think .

I'm not debating innocence or guilt ,I'm just stating what human behaviour can dictate in an ongoing investigation

Sure, you can find that here: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova...er-suggests-no-criminal-involvement-1.7615551

"RCMP also accessed Brooks-Murray's TextPlus account, a phone app she used for Wi-Fi calling. By the time police sought the records in early July, the court records said Brooks-Murray had "deleted the app because she doesn't need it anymore." Regardless, RCMP were able to access her account."

It's been suggested it's a reasonable speculation that she used the wi-fi app due to poor connectivity & deleted it after she left there and "didn't need it anymore" due to having a better connection.

Reasonable speculation? I didn’t realize that was a thing.

Some of what you’re describing as facts are realistically just your opinion. MOO should be added on some of your posts as we don’t want to be contributing to rumors.

I've never stated my impression of the MSM articles were facts. They are my own, and other people's opinions. To be clear.

So le or the Canadian police are throwing shade on her? Maybe? But this info is in the documents from the investigation side. So if it's not suspicious, why note it?

We know she blocked DM pretty much first thing as soon as she was away from him with her family. And I believe that the texting app was how DM probably would have contacted her if he needed to, so I've always thought she deleted it for the same reason that she blocked him, because she didn't want to talk to him, for whatever reason that was.

According to their website Textplus enables phonecalls and texts over wifi without a cellphone plan. Nothing indicates it compensates for poor wifi connectivity, to the contrary textplus requires wifi. Perhaps MBM enrolled in a cellphone plan and changed her phone number after she moved away, therefore the app wasn’t required. And yes, as others have suggested, possibly DM was prevented from contacting her through her ‘old’ number after she removed the app.

Or maybe her mom added her to their family plan or something like that. Also there's possibly reliable wi-fi plus maybe even a landline where ever she moved to with her family, so she'd have more options. I know you can call/text people on FB just like if you had a phone w/a service plan, using wi-fi only. Maybe she just started using that to stay in contact w/people. (I do.)

Good point. When using some apps, your history (chats, photos, contacts, data, etc.) could be always "in the cloud" if the app settings are alerting you as you go to delete some or all data & you choose to keep the backup or to possibly wipe it all off.

IIRC, after MBM deleted the app she used at their remote location perhaps to have access to "the world" via some kind of hotspot for most everything while living there...

LE said in MSM they still had access to her communications on that app after she deleted it & there was nothing unvetted by them, or paraphrasing, it was okay & didn't lead anywhere substantively speaking.

So perhaps, deleting that app was truly just part & parcel with her needing or wanting to be cutting all ties to DM after Lilly and Jack suddenly disappeared and she suddenly left him with their shared 18 month old daughter Meadow.

All previous means of communication with her partner severed quickly, which fits with her overall reaction to leaving him both physically & electronically.

He (DM) did say in MSM interviews right after she left him, he was all of a sudden alone, a family man one day and a loner the next, and he had no idea why cuz he did everything "right by them"...

Again, paraphrasing what I recall was in MSM with links upthread in the beginning, and MOO.

When you say the media has portrayed the parents poorly, are you saying that what has been reported is false?
IMO, the media can only report facts which may or may not reflect poorly.
