They’re Crushing Us!’ CNBC’s Jim Cramer Flips Out on Trump Over Stock Market — Says He’s ‘Manufacturing’ a Recession

"If there’s a recession, it will be because Trump manufactured it, and slammed Trump’s handling of trade with ostensible allies. He went on to say Trump is “playing with fire,” and accused him of “arson.”

Restaurants are also greatly affected by ‘illegal’ employees.

Friends have a chain of restaurants, wonder how they’re coping at the moment?

Imagine the family members are working all hours to keep it all afloat but you can only do that for so long.

Some of their employees have worked for them upwards of 20-25 years.

was one of several moves the federal government announced Friday to help Canadian workers and businesses get through the looming trade war with the U.S. They include an expansion of the work-sharing program available through the Employment Insurance regime; $500 million in new financing tools and advice for small and medium-sized businesses from the Business Development Bank of Canada; and $1 billion in new financing available from Farm Credit Canada to help producers facing cash crunches

Arson is a great way to put it; and honest.

Just as Nero fiddled while Rome fell around him. Trump appears quite willing to fiddle while he torches the American economy, thus Americans themselves, to the ground.

That's what happens when the Emperor running the joint is concerned with only the wealth of themself and their oligarchs.

To Trump, "America First" has always meant, "What's in it for me?"

Ford just announced that he is temporarily pausing the surcharge on hydro. He will be heading to Washington tomorrow or Thursday to speak with Trump about the situation. Will find an article when it's posted. He just announced this live.

edit: here's the article. Also, he isn't meeting Trump. He's meeting Secretary Lutnick.

Ontario suspending 25% surcharge on provincially generated electricity purchased by U.S. states

I think it's probably the practical move to make, but it is kind of ironic after he said this yesterday:
“We will not back down, pausing some tariffs and making last-minute exemptions — it won’t cut it. We need to end the chaos, once and for all.”

Doug Ford reveals tariff plans for U.S. electrical imports: 'We need to end the chaos'

I fail to see how preventing vehicles made in Canada from being sold in the US will punish Canada.

The real reason why the Ontario PM backed down...not surprising.

Not true. Ford said that he's paused the surcharge because the USA offered an olive branch. He said that just now on live CBC news.

Anything else is USA propaganda.

Lutnick contacted Ford and asked him to meet tomorrow or Wednesday to discuss the situation. Ford sees that as an olive branch. If it is not, the surcharge will be re-applied.

Help me understand.

The USA government has said for weeks that the USA needs nothing from Canada.

What difference does it make what Ontario charges for electricity. The USA doesn't need that electricity, so what's the problem?
