The obvious over reach just spreads the sympathy he's receiving on social media into older age groups, who do a double take. WT heck?. Makes them sit up and take notice. Why? Because they've lived longer and have seen crimes far far worse brushed under the rug, re no terrorism charged.

I do agree... but the "terrorism" charge is going to keep us confused a bit.

Both the Feds and the State are using the terrorism angle.
I had felt it would be better for the State to go first, and just concentrate on the murder charges. The "state terrorism" just seems as if it could end up to be very sloppy. Maybe I am not giving NY enough credit here, I know that. But NY LE is embarrassed, and quite honestly they just appear to be going over the top because of that embarrassment.
But the Feds are getting such pressure from the Insurance Industry to make Luigi an example of what can be done to discourage copycats.

So, I think both the State and the Feds are running, in part, on emotional steam, rather than pure logic.

Do we know how much younger he is than the next sibling up? Could be by the time he came along there was a child-raising formula in place and he was left to check off the success boxes with little personal attention. Expected to follow suit, smart enough to fake it. Busy parents, busy sibs.

The other thing I wanted to mention, iirc the brain fog was while he was working on BS/MS? Friend of mine who is genious like Luigi, but not a killer, told me quantum math, quantum computing was the hardest subject he had ever encountered. And he a math whiz, already on PhD's.

I don't feel qualified to analyze what brain fog could indicate in ppl from other universes. (J/K but true.)

On the contrary, he went to great lengths to hide his identity and distance himself from his family. I don't think he did it for personal fame. He (wrongly) thought it was the way to bring attention to an important cause.

I have a feeling this is probably the correct theory. It would be interesting to know whether he participated in any other activist-type events.

He was born with a silver spoon but leans toward socialism. I have to wonder if he was willing to lose his freedom to make his statement. He certainly made a very public statement.

BBM. MOO, but when I was reading through his Reddit posts (should I say alleged? The media has confirmed it’s his Reddit, but I know Reddit isn’t generally an approved source..), I thought the same thing. He mentions brain fog, Lyme, insomnia, IBS, SIBO, anxiety, RLS, visual snow, not to mention his back problems.

Definitely a touch of neuroses.

Yet despite all of LM's claims of such illness, he was able to accomplish receiving a Bachelors and Masters from an ultra expensive Ivy League school within four years, a feat in and of itself.

He backpacked and vacationed internationally looking quite fit posing for his many, many Instagram photos (mostly shirtless) showing an impressive physique and 6 pack abs you don't get when you're suffering from all these alleged ailments.

This does not compute IMO. He also had expensive, quality brands of gear, clothing, went to the finest and most expensive schools (private school at $35K per year), etc. but was against Capitalism? Loved Starbucks and Mickey D's too.

Help me make sense of this, because I just don't buy his sudden outburst of Altruism. Nope.

Some people from privileged backgrounds experience a sense of guilt for having more than others. Some feel obligated to make use of their financial resources by donating and working to help others. Noblesse oblige. JMO, because I don't know, but it seems he may not have had easy access to his family wealth, but decided to act in other ways to help others. Unfortunately, he read Ted Kazynski's manifesto and followed the wrong solution. It would have been great if he could have founded a non-profit to pass Medicare for All legislation or something. That, in itself, is a daunting approach as pharma and insurance companies spend tons of money trying to run those kind of non-profits out of business.

That "perp walk" was the biggest pi$$take I think I've ever seen in my history of law and justice. I simply cannot fathom as to what was going through their heads or why they thought that was in any way a good idea.
Downright prejudicial in its actual definition, the tainting their little stunt has done is going to be hell for them later on and they damn well deserved it now.

I'm honestly getting so narked by this case and my respect for path of law towards justice is shaking beneath me. In my opinion they are making an example out of what would normally be a ten a penny killer because the victim was a CEO of a (crooked) HC insurance system and making even more of an example out of him because, much to their dismay, there's a new wave of population now that will not sit down and only raise their hands when they're told, they will shout out loud if they don't agree and the powers that be are damn terrified of it.
Ugh I'm getting on a soap box and letting my none professional brain spew spill out, but I'm just so frustrated that it genuinely feels like one rule for one and one for another, and that laws and systems that I've always respected and valued are being made a mockery of.

Let's see what today brings huh, again apologies if my opinions ruffle any feathers but this will be the first case I've followed where I'm sat on the defense side (for some of the charges) and it feels very odd.

I'm not sure that "...inciting national debates..." meets the definition of terrorism, tbh. Terrorism is a course of conduct that you intend to force the state, country, jurisdiction, etc to change how it works through violence or the threat of violence.

Inciting debate on a matter which is clearly of great public interest actually makes it sound like what he's done is somewhat laudable so I don't really understand what they're talking about in that statement.

I come from a medical background on the operations side. I despise the policies and the dirty games of Big Pharma, Insurance companies, and Hospitals probably as much or more than anyone. I've seen it up close and personal.

Violence is never the solution, and the killing of one CEO of one HealthCare Group isn't going to change anything. I find it ironic that LM has now plead Not Guilty when he had his confession manifestos in his backpack and there is video surveillance of him pretty much from start to finish.

If he was really taking a stand and Not being a coward like TK, why not just plead guilty and face the penalty of your deliberately chosen actions?
