Could anyone give me a summary as to the conversations on here regarding the words on the cartridges?

We already know of two very famous Americans who people are saying have remarkably similar faces to the shooter, so just imagine how many hundreds or thousands of non-famous people out there have a similar look. We have so few images to go on, all at angles and none of them very high resolution, that nobody is going to go naming a friend online for a huge crime without being absolutely certain that they’re 100% the guy.
Who are the two? (I'm new to the thread).

Updates from the NYT Blog:

-The police said they have a passenger list for the Greyhound bus, but the suspect did not need identification or a credit card to board.

-In a briefing with reporters, Joseph Kenny, the New York Police Department's chief of detectives, said the man they are seeking arrived in New York City on Nov. 24 by a bus that originated in Atlanta. When he arrived in New York, he went to the Hilton first, according to surveillance footage.

-After that, he went to the hostel on the Upper West Side. The suspect kept his mask on the entire time, even at meals, and used cash. Kenny said that the only time he lowered his mask was to talk to a clerk at the hostel and smile at her.

-Kenny, the head detective, said investigators still do not know precisely whom they are seeking. “We do not have his name,” he said. “At this point, we believe he acted alone.”

went to the Hilton as in STAYED at the Hilton? If so, they'd have to look at his face too if he got a room.
Maybe he just checked the place out.

No, just scoped it out. He knew he’d be committing a murder there, and likely wanted to get a lay of the land.

Not a direct friend but a friend of a friend might provide a tip or anonymously post on social media. I believe LE has received many such tips already. I am not sure about social media

Even more dubious- How on earth would not have to collect every water bottles for 6 blocks and profile it. I suppose if they catch someone and he denies being in NY on that day, in that place, and his DNA happens to match then they got him.
They can narrow it down by”water bottle types sold at Starbucks.”
They may also have an image of the location of the drop.

Here is a link that I was finally able to find that describes it as two words, not the original three:

No. They had something like a thousand officers scouring the park looking for that backpack. To date, they haven’t found it.

John Miller said they searched dumpsters, trash cans, and did a grid search.

They must have missed it, or some opportunistic person grabbed it when they saw it unattended.
Two other possibilities: he tossed it in a pond, he handed it off to an accomplice.

How did he eat with his mask on?
Lifting the bottom part of the mask away from his face with one hand and putting a fork into his mouth with the other.

"Delay, Deny, Defend" by Jay M. Feinman
This book critiques the practices of insurance companies, highlighting how they often delay claims, deny valid requests, and defend their actions through litigation. It provides insights into systemic issues in the insurance industry and advice for consumers on how to protect themselves from such practices"

I've seen Timothee Chalamet and Jake Gyllenhaal on here but haven't been able to keep up with the pace of the threads, so I'm sure there are more!

The killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson could be a "disgruntled" employee or client of the health insurance giant, the NYPD's top detective said Friday.

Chief of Detectives Joe Kenny revealed investigators' thinking on the still-unidentified gunman's motive during a huddle with reporters.

"Our thought on it is obviously it could possibly be a disgruntled employee or disgruntled client," he said.

The potential that the killer bore a grudge against UnitedHealthcare -- which attracted hate and controversy even before the shocking murder for denying claims -- and its chief executive, Thompson, casts his apparent meticulousness in planning, carrying out and escaping consequences for his shocking crime in an even darker light.

The masked gunman not only appears have meticulously planned his shocking hit on Thompson, 50, outside a Midtown Hilton hotel, but also took great pains to conceal his identity, Kenny said.

The suspect said nothing to his roommates during his days-long stay at an Upper West Side hostel, Kenny said.

He even kept his mask on while eating, the chief said.

Sources have said the sole image showing the suspect's face only came about because he was flirting with a receptionist at the hostel.

I am skeptical of the handwritten bullets.

It was first reported there were three worded bullets. Then that number dropped down to two yesterday (I cannot find a concrete link for that; everyone's run with the original three words).

One of the words doesn't match the title of "the book". I think this is a an example of the telephone game gone awry. I want to hear concrete statements from LEO. Everything about this case is moving too quickly and sloppily for me to trust much beyond official statements.
The third word, depose (if reports are true) was a riff on the book title and was a description of what the shooter was doing to the CEO.–

Did they ever find the bike?

I’d say scared. Someone was just murdered.
It makes me wonder if she has come forward and the police are just keeping that from the public. If she is able to identify the guy in any way and he is still on the loose, the police might want to protect her from getting hurt or killed herself.

JMO.

Imagine one of those two actors being surrounded by a SWAT team because someone is convinced he's the suspect.

Oh yeah, I can see Jake Gyllenhaal.

Police find grey backpack/bag in Central Park - is it linked to C.E.O. shooter?

Ok, that could be absolutely huge.

According to two senior law enforcement officials, a gray bag was found in Central Park that investigators are examining to see if it is the same bag the suspected shooter carried.

CRC officers discovered the bag while searching the area of the park where the suspect was seen fleeing on a bicycle, per senior law enforcement officials.

The bag will likely be taken unopened to a lab to see if it is linked and whether anything inside can help lead to a suspect.
