I keep thinking his accomplice was inside Brian’s hotel. And that’s who the suspect was talking to on the phone. Someone in the lobby, who notified him with a code word the second he saw Brian leaving the lobby. Which is how the suspect had it timed perfectly.

I also think that there was a lookout in Brian's hotel. I don't think that it was a code word, though. I think that they talked and the lookout told him that he was in the lobby and getting ready to exit wearing a bright blue sports jacket.

Interesting. Do the CEOs actually get involved in denials? I used to work for physicians at a level 1 trauma center and we had to get peer to peer reviews all the time. I have never had one go to the CEO. It was always MDs doing the reviews and talking to the treating physicians. They were the step above the nurses who did the second denial after it was denied by the lay people working for the insurance. We always had the different company policies for every procedure on hand prior to trying to get things approved. It was a lot of time and work in many cases. But i never had any go to the CEO who isn’t usually medically trained. Many of the denial policies have been in place for a very long time. They never take into consideration that every patient is different and medicine isn’t exact and can vary by patient. They have checklists they follow and do not deviate.

They are using a very sophisticated AL software program. The CEO would be involved in the approval and utilizing reporting functions to capture saving to the company.

You ask one of the most important questions...how did the shooter know the salient facts you mention? There is at least one other option, although I don't think it is very likely, and that is that the shooter had direct contact with BT (i.e. not through another person). I will leave that to the side for the moment. I lean toward option 2. Shooter's accomplice was in direct communication with BT (may even have been with him the previous evening); learned his plan in enough detail through casual leading questions; communicated those details to the shooter; was in the hotel that morning monitoring BT's actual movements and communicated those facts to the shooter.

I don’t think the perp would have to even know that amount of detail. All you would need is an accomplice to casually wait in the lobby of the Hilton, reading a paper or sipping a coffee, then to text the departure of BT to accomplice.

Ok, that could be absolutely huge.

According to two senior law enforcement officials, a gray bag was found in Central Park that investigators are examining to see if it is the same bag the suspected shooter carried.

CRC officers discovered the bag while searching the area of the park where the suspect was seen fleeing on a bicycle, per senior law enforcement officials.

The bag will likely be taken unopened to a lab to see if it is linked and whether anything inside can help lead to a suspect.

Not the Hilton. At Brian's hotel across the street. I also think that it was an actual call. Because the timing had to be exact, you have to make sure the assassin gets the info right away.

There is so much water in Central Park and it's been warm so not frozen. My personal theory is it's at the bottom of one of those ponds/lakes in CP.

The ponds are literally only a few feet deep. The reservoir is deep, but there is a popular running track plus a fence around the water.

I doubt he threw anything in the water.

They may also have an image of the location of the drop.

I was wrong. Starbucks features their own brand of water "Ethos", but they do also carry Dasani water and Spindrift cans of sparkling water, and Hawaii Volcanic water. Just checked their website.

If the gun is found in the backpack, it could be tremendously important on a couple levels. Gets the dangerous weapon off the streets (someone could have found it). From an evidentiary standpoint it may yield DNA and prints, or may not because he was apparently wearing surgical gloves. Regardless, it would tie the gun to the murder, and tie the suspect to the murder as a result.

I don't think he said this, but the serial number would be huge too if it is still present.

Because i can't get this case out of my head, here are my current thoughts that are pinballing around my head:

Even if the shooter changed his appearance after the crime, someone should know who he is from the hostel photos.

UNLESS the hostel photo was a changed appearance, ie recently shaved.
I don't think that's the case as he was adamant about wearing a mask until his hormones took over.
What we don't know is if he spoke with or without an accent, which LE knows from the clerk (hopefully)

Shooting BT in front of the Hilton instead of when he came out of his own Hotel was riskier for the shooter to be there on time.

Dude was on a bus before nightfall on the 4th, probably heading south on 95.

With all due respect, an "alleyway" seems equal to a garbage can in my opinion and the article specifically states the coffee cup was dropped in a "garbage can"
