No one wears a mask any more. That alone makes him look suspicious.
While the vast majority of people in NYC don't wear masks any longer, nobody really cares if you do and seeing them doesn't raise suspicion other than perhaps assuming the person is sick with a cough themselves. But mostly nobody cares.

Only his Executive Assistant. In corporations, the CEO calendars are not available to all the employees.

But online calendars can be hacked.

I hope it's not full of rocks and nothing else...as a fu to the authorities.
I'd put nothing past this guy.
Stuffed with other hostel guests bedding and nothing else.. I wouldn't be surprised if he has planned something like that.

It looks like there is stuff still in there. Maybe his plan was to change clothes, but decided he didn't have the time and just ditched the one thing that mostly identified him.

It doesn’t look like the right colored backpack to me.

The idea floated this is "revenge" on a big bad insurance company, the words on the bullets, etc. is all by design and a red herring.

This is much deeper than that.

There is no way an angry customer or disgruntled employee had access to his calendar. Whomever wanted this guy dead had inside info to know all that.

wonder where it was

Well, if I were a young, white guy, I would not be wearing a face mask, a hoodie or carrying an expensive backpack. I also would not be wearing expensive shoes. I can well imagine that everyone everywhere is on the lookout for this guy.

Maybe, people his age don't watch the news or pay attention to articles about things like this. Hopefully, someone has put his face on TikTok. Isn't that where the younger generation gets its news nowadays?

JMO.
Oh he’s on tiktok alright… all over it. But not for the reason you think.

And a POWER bar wrapper. Interesting...
A "PowerBar" (one word) is a specific brand name item which Starbucks does not even sell, so any reporting that mentions that is flat-out incorrect and sloppy. Additionally, I've seen the item that the suspect purchased at Starbucks variously referred to as "candy," a "granola bar," an "energy bar," and "a protein bar."
Starbucks does sell various snack bars made by the brands Kind, Perfect Bar, and That's It, but you will not find a PowerBar there. This may seem like a small detail, but details matter in a manhunt, and "journalists" should be more thorough with their fact-checking, no matter what type of story they're reporting on.

Surely this guy hasn't planned this all out, managed to evade capture or even being named for 3 days after committing a murder in one of the most surveilled cities in the world, for him to dump a bag full of incriminating evidence. Hmm..

Heavy object - unlikely to be bike battery. He was sill riding the bike when he left the park.
What do you think the heavy object is? Gun weight is 2.1 pounds, not really heavy. Bike can still be ridden just have to pedal.

Investor Meeting information disclosed on the United Health Group website:
The shooter knew where he was staying and the exact minute he would come out of the hotel.

That information doesn't come from a public notice about a meeting and no one has access to that, certainly not some rando customer mad about a claim.

I think the gun is probably in that bag. “heavy object” sounds more substantial than a gun to me. Don’t have a clue what it might be though.

I think the heavy object may have been the backpack itself.

You could knock me over with a feather if the gun is still in it, and intact. I have been believing the gun is dismantled and its parts strewn between Central Park and EWR. I hope I’m wrong and they’ve got it.

Mmm...I'm not so sure on that. I'm in a rural area and people still wear masks...shoppers and employees. Wearing a mask is fairly acceptable now.

An employee or former employee of UHC would know what corporate hotel they used. I worked at a Fortune 500 company for decades and everyone stayed at Marriotts because that’s where we had our corporate discount. Optum division was planning layoffs this month. That is a very expensive backpack to plan to leave behind. There are lots of much cheaper options. I wonder if it was stolen.

I looked up the meaning of depose because I understand it, but I was curious what the given meaning is. I found it interesting that this is the first definition and I was automatically thinking of the second kind, which is to testify.

remove from office suddenly and forcefully.
  1. "he had been deposed by a military coup"

—end quote

I think this will be very important to this case.
