For everyone wondering about the possibility of the person wearing a mask, sorry I'm on the previous thread and just catching up today, I found a couple of videos of the former CIA master of disguise talking about the 5 second mask. It says the 5 second mask is one that you don't need a mirror to put on and fits exactly to your face. It is possible if the person was wearing a mask that the bike ride could have loosened it thus the weird looking neck and jaw?

I'm not sure if the videos are okay to post here or not. But if you look up CIA Mask you will find a few videos of the masks used back in the 90s and if they helped people pass for other cultures, sexes etc. in 5 seconds I can just imagine what is out there now.

This mask thing, if so accessible and easy to use, could have some really negative ramifications in restraining order cases for example. Husband who has an RA against him, in a domestic violence case, could easily hunt down his wife undetected. Or for that matter in any stalker case, witnessed abduction, mass shooting, or any criminal activity.

If this person was hired for this, I believe things like this are more likely to be true. Especially if this person is a pro, they have funding, could easily get a mask made.
But then the question is where are all of these items now? He must have had to get rid of all of his clothes, that gun, the mask if there was one. The gun could be in one of the rivers around the city, the other items likely burned somewhere. You can do a lot in 5 days. Especially if your life depended on it

I'm wondering the same things, but I think if he wore a mask it was until he was far enough away through distance or different transportation loops to feel safe. People have said that the gun used is easy to dismantle and possibly he put a piece here and there like that video of him putting something small in the middle of the trash bags during his escape. He may have not come to NYC with much and possibly bought different clothes here that he normally wouldn't wear to further throw people off. So very true, and with the planning that was put into the first part of things it seems like there would be lots of planning for all of it.

I don't think this criminal used anything fancy. He seems pretty low-tech to me and his facial disguise was a paper mask or neck gaiter.

Nothing about this case looks "advanced" except the time it took to plan meticulously.

Maybe some high-tech stuff happened behind the scenes, but, tbh, all his actions seem so....attainable.

Exactly, and the mask thing makes no logical sense in the first place. He was already wearing a mask, and had no intention of ever showing his face. The only reason he did was because that hostel receptionist asked him to remove it. He couldn't possibly have predicted that would happen. There's no reason to make this more complicated when the simplest explanation fits perfectly.

That also extends to hired hits and all that. Evidence and common sense says that this was self driven. He's telling us that with the words on the casings, the Monopoly money, and the type of weapon he chose to use. Hired hitmen don't taunt police, and expose themselves by going to Starbucks.

There's no reason to turn this case into the plot of a really bad movie.

Holy moly too true! I think though that the pre planning for that type of mask is intensive and expensive, making it something that most of us would not be able to afford.

Nor do I entertain theories about gender change, being a woman, make up techniques etc, affairs, sex related blackmail, family involvement, suicide, or Iranian terrorist cells and the like.

Where did he go all those days/times? Any videos of his activities in the days leading up to?

So how old does he look? 17-18? I have asked this before and not gotten many answers. I think he looks 22-23, maybe 24-26.

I also think he's modifying his look a bit with cosmetics - but we shall see. He could be a young-looking 30 year old, frankly.

This may be of use to some members of the chat. Police Off the Cuff YouTube channel had a very interesting discussion in which the topic of conspiracy came up. The three former police started to count down the publicly known information and they all agreed the murder isn't adding up to a single actor. One of three member panel is a retired detective who is a lawyer and a professor of Criminology. Another good channel discussing the case is DutyRon. One of the key presenters is a retired NYPD detective who remains active as an instructor. Both channels discuss how evidence is worked, and they will discuss law and process.

I'm curious if they are going through UHC denied claims that resulted in death in GA (within the last year) since that is where they said he came from. Also large claims that were appealed and denied.

No one said he came from Georgia. The bus he came in on originated in Atlanta, but he could have boarded anywhere between GA and NYC. And of course, even if he did board in GA, it doesn't mean that's his home.

Especially because he wasn’t wearing like a ski mask or something that looks like “hey this guys about to commit a murder.” It’s a standard medical mask that is commonly seen.

Someone on the last thread posted a link to a video on Fox which was a short interview with a male ( who appeared African-American, or African heritage) who was on the block at the time of the shooting. If anyone can share that link again, I think it would be helpful to hear his comments.

But not impossible, right? This was a contingency he had to have prepared for. He was in the city for so long. Couldn’t have assumed he would never be asked to unmask. He also had a fake photo id. So anytime he had to show that, there was a possibility he would be asked to unmask.
