A lot of left handed people do things right handed. Golf, Bat, Shoot. I'm left handed, but do all those things right handed.

I eat left handed, or at least hold my fork in my left hand.
I do the same. I’m a lefty when I bowl, eat, fire a pistol, and bat, and a righty when I draw, write, and use scissors.

This is a good article, published today (12/11/24) - featuring messages between LM and a friend in April to June of 2024. They also had video calls. Its quite in-depth, with some already known info, but also new details from this person he was communicating with.

For the poster earlier questioning LM's politics, here's his friend's quote from the article:
"Bhogal previously gave DailyMail.com an insight into Mangione's political views, including that he is, in his friend's opinion, 'anti-woke'. "

I think I said men's rights and I want to qualify that a bit. The casual right wing anti-woke status on women is anti-feminist, the two genders are not equal, women need to be soft so men can be powerful. It's not overtly anti-woman, it's more of 'there are places for both genders and they're not the same'. He retweeted a post where some woman was praising how men are powerful warriors and women need to support them in that (paraphrased). Men are powerful and women don't need to seek power, they are there to support men and receive from men.

I don't think this murder will do much towards uprooting the entire US healthcare system (assuming that was his goal). We may all argue and fuss, and maybe some small changes will be made to appease... but big changes... nope, I don't think so.

Same here. I shoot a pistol with my right hand but shoot long guns left-handed.
I guess it could also be the way he was taught to shoot too. I'm right handed and it would be awkward to do anything with my left.

I see a lot of hero worship, thirsty posts from both men and women on a platform that sounds like Read It. And I tell them, I hate to burst your hero bubble but LM has some incel-ish type views.

Pointing out from the article: This was the last message Luigi sent me,' Bhogal, who lives in Birmingham, England, said. 'He wanted me to help him curate his information sources.'

That is an interesting ask coming from a Computer Engineer IMO.

John Miller CNN Live:

Looking for insights when this turn came, that was a turn towards obsession and violence.

November 18, mom reports him missing to San Francisco Police. Last place she knew him to be living. Last time she spoke to him was back in July.

She made multiple calls to his cell phone that ran into his voice mail, which was eventually full.

Called True Car (employer), and that number was disconnected.

Stayed in youth hostel why he was in San Francisco.

Evidence is starting to surround him. Prints match. Gun matches. DNA isn't in yet as far as he knows, but that will be the third piece. Then the video.

Brick by brick until they soon have a solid wall of a case.

Man the DM is really reaching with this cruel mother complaint bit. Now it's "evidence"

The evidence of Mangione's interest in the damage parents can do comes after it emerged he had accused his mother of forcing him to eat in a cruel way as a child.
[snip]
making him eat steak with his right hand, even though he is lefthanded, 'out of adherence to social norms.'
Mangione's last message to me seemed a cry for help... I didn't reply

I was born leftie. It was common practice when I entered kindergarten for school teachers to insist their students learn to write right. So I was forced to write with my right. I did so poorly, my penmanship was awful but it got the job done. Then in 2nd grade, I broke my right wrist and had to write with my left for several months. That was difficult and also not pretty because I had had the lefty "forced" out of me. Today I can write better (but not pretty) with my right, I can eat with either and throw catch with either.

Was I treated cruelly? nope, was I forced to do something I wasn't happy about? yep. Am I complaining about it? nope. It simply wasn't that big a deal.

Do better daily mail.

Yes, that is interesting. Unless he was just maybe looking for more inspiring people to follow and he knew Bhogal knew of certain people. Then it could be a people thing rather than a tech thing.

Something caught my eye in this video. When the shooter draws his gun to shoot Brian Thompson he looks to be right handed. Didn't he complain about his mother trying to force him to cut his steak with his right hand as if he were left handed? It's about 35 secs in. I guess my point is LE would have noticed if he were left handed in the way he shot the gun and probably that would have shared this during the manhunt. Maybe his drama about his steak and his mother was all made up. JMO
Maybe he adjusted to being right handed as he aged? Wasn't the hash brown in this right hand?
Now I'm wondering which hand I'd have a hash brown in!

I suspected this was nonsense:

Bag of bullets found in Central Park ruled out as being linked to UHC CEO's murder: sources

By Joe Marino
A bag of bullets found by a person walking their dog in Central Park on Tuesday has been ruled out as being connected to the fatal shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The bullets in the Ziploc bag were of a different caliber than those used in Thompson’s slaying, sources said Wednesday.

I guess it makes sense now why nobody was really reporting on this

Apparently he was clever enough to get the job done. And insane enough to murder someone.

The killer had family backing, money, friends, and opportunities to effect change in society.

His physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual and intellect took him ( and so many others) into tragedy.
Murder is never the answer and it's never clever.

imo moo

"DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal the contents of dozens of private messages exchanged by the pair after Mangione, 26, took an interest in Bhogal's blog about politics. Bhogal also shared details of an hours-long video call with Mangione.

Their discussions, which took place between April and June this year, provide a fascinating insight into what was going through the alleged killer's mind in the months before the attack."

This is a very telling interview, but the most fascinating part is right at the beginning when he says that from everything he has heard, Brian Thompson was trying to be a voice of reason within UHC to try to improve the way they treat their customers.
There is nothing to indicate that UHC was trying to treat their customers better. Their performance has become worse in that regard in the past few years with seniors in Advantage plans hit particularly hard

If I am reading this correctly, it implies his mom believed until she reported him missing that he was still working at TrueCar.

“According to the Chronicle, she believed her son had been working for TrueCar, a car-buying website, in the city. However, a TrueCar spokesperson has confirmed that Mangione has not worked for the company since 2023.”

Why did he withhold the last year he didn’t have a job/at least that job?

I was a little surprised that LM was denied bail in PA before he'd been charged with murder, but the second commenter at the end of the video clip in above link explained that if it's a case where the DP is on the table, albeit in NYC, that it's standard practice.
Omo.
