So where did he go on his e-bike once he hit Central Park? He had a plan.
I wonder if he knew the color of his jacket as well. He identified Brian in the low light of early morning. That blue jacket was really unique.I will continue to add the the UHC team planning the event likely stayed at the Hilton - pricing and convenience. The shooter had sensitive information about Brian - when to expect his arrival etc.
I agree with this.I will continue to add the the UHC team planning the event likely stayed at the Hilton - pricing and convenience. The shooter had sensitive information about Brian - when to expect his arrival etc.
if he's never been printed, prints would not ID himCouldn't disguise his fingerprints on any container, though
I think there’s a decent chance he has been printed. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had served in the military.if he's never been printed, prints would not ID him
i like where you are going with this - but many executives who have an important meeting or photo op pick this color of blazer. It's not unique. The guy knew his target.I wonder if he knew the color of his jacket as well. He identified Brian in the low light of early morning. That blue jacket was really unique.
There are at least two surveillance cameras (circled in red) in the alley (it’s more of a pedestrian plaza)They seem to be very confident it does. Perhaps it was found near that water bottle he bought earlier.
Or maybe they have that event on camera.
Don't DV's require fingerprinting? Or maybe it was just the Real ID where I was fingerprinted (in CA)I think there’s a decent chance he has been printed. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had served in the military.
John Miller:
5:15 Upper West Side video shows suspect carrying a battery for an e-bike. He may live in that area or just started in that area.
Trying to get into cell phone. Have to get past passcode. Even if it’s a burner it will be big. Could also be his phone that he dropped accidentally.
Shell casings can be run through system to see if they showed up at any other crime scene.
Found complete bullets that could have DNA or partial print. Will have to wait for lab results, so video canvas is what they can do right now.
Seemed to be pretty skilled. Shooter stance. Two hand grip. Clears jams really quickly. Suggests someone comfortable and experienced with firearms. Could be law enforcement, military; someone not new to this.
The fact that they saw the perp carrying an e-bike battery and then he took a Citibike never made sense to me. No one takes there own battery to a rental bike. Also, if you have a plan to kill someone, then you absolutely want to make sure that there will be an e-bike in the bike stands where you plan to pick it up; when you plan to pick it up. I've been caught short in that regard before. The e-bikes are popular and aren't always available exactly where you want them. They no longer believe he used a citibike.
Suspect in shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO did not flee on a Citi Bike, law enforcement source says
From CNN’s Brynn Gingras
The e-bike used by the suspect who shot and killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was not a Citi Bike, a law enforcement official tells CNN.
As CNN previously reported, the suspect fled — first on foot, then on an e-bike — and was last seen in Central Park early this morning, according to police.
She was just holding a cup of coffee — didn’t look like a guard of any sort to meRegarding that "mystery woman" I thought that was a guard or attendant standing in front of the hotel. To me it looked to be a person in uniform, with a badge or emblem of sorts.
She hurried away as any person would. No mystery there.
Tthank you! This innocent bystander person will be hounded to no end and it’s just absurd. They’re the worst. They did this during the first Trump assassination attempt too, casting aspersions on an innocent person in the audience.
They’re doing the same thing here, albeit a bit less blatant. Of course the article, which many people won’t read, says this:
Who is the mystery woman?
Footage of the attack shows a figure, who appears to be a woman dressed in dark clothing and holding a coffee cup, fleeing from a doorway as the assassin opens fire just meters away.
We do not yet know who this person is, but there has been no suggestion that they were involved or knew Thompson.
Indeed, they appeared to be surprised by the shooting, cowering in a doorway when the first shot rang out, before making a run for it.
Police will no doubt be desperate to identify this key witness.
I am wondering if those are some how fake evidence.... some one else's phone, etc. Maybe the shooter had a flight out 11:30 and he is already gone. Hard to say.Does anyone else think it's a little odd that he drops things that could lead back to him after what must have been a very well planned shooting? Is it possible he bought things before the murder but dropped identical items that he knew already had someone else's DNA on them?
You've been "caught short in that regard" if "you have a plan to kill someone" ?The fact that they saw the perp carrying an e-bike battery and then he took a Citibike never made sense to me. Folks can 3-d print guns now. Suppressors too. IMO it is unlikely to be a correctly registered weapon or components, unless this person wants to be caught / viewed as a martyr of some kind (seems unlikely MOO).Is it really that hard to find for someone who knows how to navigate the black market? ( sorry if that sounds rude, not my intent). I would not be surprised if any portion of that weapon was not registered. This seems like someone who knows how to do this.
Yeah, it really messed up my day! You've been "caught short in that regard" if "you have a plan to kill someone" ?
LOL
But prints can convict him.if he's never been printed, prints would not ID him
or a plane to anywhere...Arizona, Canada, Spain...My thoughts are along the same line. And if he went straight to the airport and got on a plane to Russia, that would explain not being fastiduous about not leaving behind trash with his potential DNA on it.
