You know, I think it was semi-intentional but consider this: both knew that the meeting would be highly exposed. Zelenskyy brought photos also to reach American people.

But, it was obviously Trump's day to reach the Americans. It started with Obama, continued with Biden and Hunter, and even Hillary was remembered. And of course, the whole Democratic party. Basically, the message was that on Trump's watch, the war would have not started, and that he was sending Ukraine javelins while others...You can see that he had to remind Zelenskyy the 2020 situation. Trump's entourage played along him; this is interesting but less important than seems either.

My vague feeling: Trump before the shooter's attack and after are two different people. Perhaps the best form of answer would have been, "yes, mylord", but Zelenskyy, having met with European leaders as equals, would have viewed it all as personal affront. I am not 100% sure Trump's plan was to end the negotiations on such a note, the plan was to sign the agreement and leave, and sadly, Zelenskyy had to tough it out, too much is at stake. JMO.

Last time we heard there was a deal I stated that I'w wait unil Zelinskyy said something. We all know how that went down.

This 'new deal' was drafted up with the assistance of Europe ... again, I'll wait and see.

Yep. It's possible Zelenskyy will come out against a ceasefire. We'll have to wait and see. JMO.

My opinion, he Zelensky is a pushy man, choosing to fly and beg for money, weapons and security than spending time in his country helping his military. He is not a hero, the true heros are the Ukraine men and their people that stay day after day and survive the best they can. Trump ruffled many feathers when he choose to talk about peace. Before that, no one brought up the subject, just content with status quo. A person has to be tough enough to make changes, instead of doing the same failed solutions. People are offended, good, because Trump has now gotten people talking and doing things that should have been done 3 years ago. No one has even attempted to discuss peace with Russia and Ukraine, possibly they are scared, or possibly they like war. Either way, Trump is my idea of a no nonsense leader that will get things done. JMO, MOO

Ukraine also had nukes until they were persuaded to not use them on the proviso that we would protect them going forward. Yes Russias nukes can damage but they are not the only country that has nukes

He was a GUEST, in a foreign country and should have been treated with respect. Not treated like a lesser being or third world nobody!

He DOES spend time in his country. An awful lot of it in fact but was called to America for the ambush by Trump. Had he not gone he would have been wrong for that also.
