I don't see any tela

So, let's say that they manage to find 12 of the most gracious people in Idaho for BK's jury. And they believe every word AT says. And BK is found "Not Guilty".

Then what? He just leaves the courtroom. That is some scary stuff right there.

Don’t forget OJ, and Casey Anthony.
Not likely. He doesn't hold the same appeal as those two managed to have over their followers.

Agree, and BK had recently been turned down when he applied for employment with Pullman LE. That had to sting for the smartest man in any room. Maybe he wanted to prove that his services were required.

But if that were the case, why not choose victims from his own college- WSU? Why go to U of Idaho to stalk? Not wanting to soil his own nest???

Nowadays not cleaning between tenants is usually against state law as it can endanger the tenant's health. Given, some property management companies do a better job than others.

JMO, but I believe it is important to investigate all of the evidence in the crime scene which the CSI team decided was important. It's not about finding another suspect, it's about finding out, inasmuch as is possible, exactly what happened inside that house.
That only happens if all tenants move out at once. One of the condos I lived in in college, we had many turnover of roommates as people graduated/moved out. It was rare for all of us to move at once.

My bad, I guess I phrased it wrong.
The recent Defense motion is to exclude any reference to the words "touch DNA" or "transfer DNA" when discussing the DNA on the knife sheath. In this motion they're not arguing against the use of the sheath DNA itself, just to the term "touch" or "transfer" to qualify it.
I find this really odd since IMO this is something I would expect from the State, not the Defense, and I really wonder how the Defense think it would benefit them. IMO qualifying the DNA as "only" touch was something that would be advantageous to the Defense, as it opened the door for many ways BK's DNA could have ended up in the sample, as has been discussed in these threads a thousand times.
So for them to now want to exclude that terminology is very weird to me.
My guess, it would be for the simple fact that "touch" DNA means BK had first hand contact with the sheath that wound up under a brutality murdered by stabbing victim...and the knife type that fits that sheath will be touted, by expert testimony, as the murder weapon.

As far as "transfer" DNA, maybe that has to do more with the blood spot on the banister than the sheath?

I don't know, you make a good point that it's an odd tactic for a defense.

AT is talking about a glove which was found on Nov. 20, 2022 by CSI, NOT the glove found by the YouTuber on Nov. 28, 2022. Totally different glove or gloves - at the last hearing, they were described as "gloves." I've provided links to this information previously.
I can’t find any information about another glove found a week after the murders at the crime scene. Nonetheless, I wonder if it is the same kind of glove as the one LE found at BKs Washington apartment? Or the same as the ones found at his Pennsylvania address or like the latex ones he was caught wearing when he was arrested? Do you think the fact that the defense hasn’t specifically said that this glove is a different type than the ones known to belong to BK means that the defense is hiding something? It certainly seems suspicious that they are silent on this point. It’s too bad they weren’t able to rule BK out as the owner of the glove at the crime scene since he is known to leave gloves all over the place.
OR maybe it is unrelated since it was found at least a week after the murders.

I'm wondering if they should do a roundup of people the guys were known to be in contact with immediately preceding the murders in an effort to rule out people. its been done before now, they just dispose of the sample after.

By guys, I'm assuming you mean acquaintances and boyfriends of the girls in the house/friends of Ethan's? They did that in the immediate aftermath. I will try to find the articles.

Motion to preclude....

1. If there's too much evidence, instead of whining to the Court, BK is free to save everyone the trouble of a trial. He can plead guilty.

2. All this discovery is not new. Nor are her arguments.

3. Because the State hasn't organized discovery to her liking and for what she calls discovery violations, AT is asking for the judge to drop the DP, as remedy.

4. AT strongly suggests that, if the judge doesn't drop the DP, it will create issues at trial leading to a mistrial.

5. 30 pages. I could have just banged my head against a wall and felt it a more productive use of my time.

can anyone give me a summary of what this new evidence presents? does it change anything? he dna under mm's finger nails is interesting but there doesn't seem to be much detail about it, ie was it dna from blood or other material? was it found under just one nail? was it in copious amounts?

That’s what they did initially. The filings (forget which ones), indicate that DNA samples were taken from numerous people.

They started in and worked out, all the way to some random sex offender.

IMO - Has anyone else read the redacted text messages between DM & BF early on the morning of the murder? They seem to suggest BF saw someone too & it was clear from the messages they were both freaked out. After reading the messages, it is completely unclear why they didn’t call 911. MOO

It is puzzling but I think there are people who get freaked out a lot and it always turns out to be over nothing. So that is how I read the conversation. Freaking out while also not really believing that this time it was over something real.

I think BF simply left out a question mark. They may have communicated by phone just prior to this.

It’s DM explaining what she saw and BF questioning her on it.

I think DM didn’t completely trust what she saw, and maybe BF didn’t because DM didn’t. They both may have been drunk as well.

ETA: I need to reed this again.

IMO - My biggest question was always, why didn’t they call 911? Lots of excuses were made on why they didn’t, however, reading those text messages shows they were frightened & my biggest question still remains unanswered. After reading the text messages, it makes even less sense to me, 2 x frightened girls hearing strange things, one of them seeing someone in all black wearing a ski mask in their home, text messages showing they were freaking out, but not enough to call 911?? Even after all this time, I still find that one aspect of this case unfathomable to understand. I associate zero blame on them, it’s just something I simply cannot understand. MOO.

4 a.m. Texts?
This ends all debate as to the veracity of DM’s overall account. She sees the man clad in black, frantically calls the phones of her murdered roomates, describes what she saw to BF (other surviving roommate), and heads to her room.

This is crucial information in firming up the time of the murders, at least for our purposes.
