Yeah, I think he was in the fantasy stage at that point, and didn't have specific targets in mind. That's why he wasn't concerned about leaving a trail. I do not believe there was a social media connection, nor do I believe there ever was one.

BK’s mission accomplished picture is one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen. He is sickly pale. Almost like his body is reacting to and rejecting what it has been used for, while BK’s mind insisted on celebrating. Weird.
I did noticed if you zoom into his thumb, there appears to be an abrasion or a cut on the inside of it.
Whether it’s his left or right hand it’s hard to tell. Inquiring minds.

We will never know but I wonder what he took. IMO he would have taken a trophy. So he either did or would have but was thwarted.

He could have. Who would know? Panties. A t-shirt. A photograph from the scene. Not OF, from.

I still don't think he expected KG to be there, and certainly not in the same bed. Nor did he anticipate XK being awake and active.

He had every advantage but still lost control of the situation in MM's room, two victims, one briefly a bit out of his reach. Had to be chaotic, likely cost him the sheath.

IMO he was upstairs when DM shouted out/up the first time so he knew his exit was suddenly complicated. Came down the stairs to find XK whom he wrongly assumed was the speaker. I think he may have encountered her in the kitchen, with nowhere to go for safety, she may have run to her room. We're talking about very small square footage, BK with all the advantages, able to cover great distance in a single stride. I think he was upon her at her door and that's when he encountered EC. I think he injured XK badly, attacked EC with pure force, then returned to XK, who whimpered, who tried to deflect the knife, resulting in severe defensive wounds....

Six hours later, he's in front of his bathroom mirror, smiling at himself.

I am haunted by that photo. For me, it gives real insight into what kind of person can can commit a crime like this. He's not remorseful, worried, panicked, frantic, sick. He looks pleased work himself.

That shakes humanity at its core.

I think he may have seen them in a store or something, and followed them home one day.

If not that, he encountered them while scouting the area looking for a target house.

Seems likely.
Possibly at WinCo, the only 24 hour grocery near BK, he sees the girls, maybe buying drinks for a party and his surveillance begins.

Thanks for replying; I'm always interested in your opinions. I never bought into a connection from the restaurant (how does one go about finding the address of a server?) but have never landed on any opinion myself. The food truck livestream was always interesting to me, but it has the same problem about finding an address for a random person seen in public. ETA: I guess following them home resolves that.

It would have to be his left hand, IMO, as a person wouldn't be able to get their opposite hand across their body at that angle. JMO

Sparing y'all from having to look at his ugly mug again. I've also pointed out his sleeved arm. So, I believe we think he's right handed as someone posted that they saw a pic of him signing something with his right hand. If that's the case, I doubt he could have killed 4 people with his non-dominant hand. Especially in a matter of mere minutes. JMO

I have not been able to get that photo of BK out of my mind since I first saw it last evening. I would love to know if there were lots of other recent selfies of him, found on his phone, as well, and I doubt that there were. He may have thought that he was the smartest person in any room, but he surely knew he wasn't going to likely be the most handsome. I think that selfie was maybe a rarity, which I think lends credence to the idea that it was indeed directly tied to the murders and escape that had just been accomplished, seemingly successfully. If there are not lots of other selfies on his phone, that the defense can point to as normal behavior for BK, then I think the state can very easily convince jurors of its connection, merely by the time and date stamp, the smug grin, and the thumbs up.

I think BK's plant-based goose substitute is cooked! JMO

For me, it’s not the bushiness. It’s the prominent browridge. I would not have known how to describe it (maybe much like DM) but that’s what I see. I really don’t think his eyebrows are “bushy”. Almost like a Neanderthal.

Absolutely. The value of that photo increases dramatically if it's unique (he didn't have the habit of taking selfies). Because if it is unusual, then they'll see it as a celebratory photo kept for posterity. Kind of like a trophy.
