Albertson's grocery store at 400 Bridge Street in Clarkston, Washington. Surveillance footage
obtained from the Albertson's showed Kohberger exit the white Elantra, consistent with Suspect
Vehicle l, at approximately 12:49 p.m. Interior surveillance cameras showed Kohberger walk
through the store, purchase unknown items at the checkout, and leave approximately 1:04p.m.

I was wondering about any history of shower curtain purchases as well. I wonder if any showed up in his Amazon click history, or purchases around the time of the murders, and if he did happen to buy one that day at Albertson's, and the state could provide proof, that would be yet one more nail in his coffin. JMO

The selfie is very odd and creepy. I wonder if he was trying to establish some kind of timeline knowing that it would be timestamped? I feel like we learned more about him with that photo and facial expression than we have from anything else.

So he left part of the murder weapon at the scene with his DNA. and he ordered said weapon from amazon. and shopped for a replacement.

no wonder they have to argue he was framed.

Maybe he had just hung the replacement shower curtain and was celebrating his success in that.

Based on the released document, it seems he clicked on them on Amazon, no indication whether he purchased them, but he must have been considering it.

Ya know, someone lacking the motor skills to commit the murders of 4 intoxicated and/or sleeping students at 4am, with a military grade knife with a 7-inch blade, made specifically for killing, likely would also lack the motor skills to unfold and hang a shower curtain. Maybe he was indeed celebrating that accomplishment, and not the murders. Maybe the defense can run with that angle. JMO

I am a bit late to comment on the selfie, but I agree with everyone - so creepy, pale, dark eye sockets, weird. Just flat out creeps me out. Plus....who the heck takes a selfie with a tub/shower in the background wearing ear buds? Was he listening to the news/scanner during his shower (rhetorical)? And....please, if you are trying to somehow show you have it all going on, straighten that collar, gosh!

Maybe he could tell from a mile off there was no response yet or he was tuned into to a police scanner so he was sure about the as yet lack of police response.

My thoughts were his family possibly worried about him (ASD, far away, previous incidents?, etc.). He would not be your typical 27-year-old. I believe his mother was a teacher's aide, possibly used to working with special needs students.

Perhaps, it was a ritual to check in with the family on Sundays, send a selfie, show sort how BK was doing. Is this some sort of performance for the folks? Dressing, getting ready to go to mass, etc. He may have been busy retracing his steps, checking why there wasn't anything on the news, completely off schedule, sending a reassuring photo to Mom and Dad. I do feel for them.

So many possibilities and, of course, all speculation, JMOO.

According to filings, photo was taken at 10:31 am, Nov 13, and 911 call was placed at 11:56am.

I wonder if the photo also has locational data (longitudinal/latitudinal coordinates) LE could have accessed that would show where it was taken, e.g., at his apartment.

It probably depends on the type of cellphone & its apps & settings whether locational info was captured when BK took that pic of himself that morning.

Just sayin', cuz there's a whole rigamarole to go through with cameras that store photos electronically like on a cell, to turn off storage of locational info, IME (in my experience).

If AT can put up a defense to say BK isn't able to move quickly and couldn't possibly have knifed four unarmed victims to death, I hope the State will have some nice footage of BK running as he's known to do, boxing as he's known to do. Throw his resume up there if he's listed any fitness skills (when applying, say, for a LE position). Pretty agile guy jogging up to the neighbor's trash can and tipping his trash in. Wonder if they've got that on film. Gee, I'd hate for his own history of physicality bite his defense in half.

And by 'hate', I mean I hope it happens HARD.

Yeah, I think he was in the fantasy stage at that point, and didn't have specific targets in mind. That's why he wasn't concerned about leaving a trail. I do not believe there was a social media connection, nor do I believe there ever was one.

I do. I believe that he found Maddie or Kaylee on social media and targeted them. Still could be after he purchased the knife and moved there.

Well, it's clear at least one sister doesn't! The PA car search story supposedly reported by that sister said except for the father "the family" was suspicious. (Personally I'd like to see sworn testimony about that before accepting it as gospel truth.)

We really know nothing about the family (except that they should be considered victims per WS policy.) I think it's safe to say though that even with high-functioning individuals, longstanding sibling rivalries from childhood, especially between oldest & youngest children can lead to very strange and fractured adult relationships.

Yes the dark eye sockets stood out to me too. IMO dude probably hasn’t slept for a good couple of days.

Speaking of his eyes, I can totally see how DM described noticing the masked intruder’s bushy eyebrows but couldn’t describe his eyes. I don’t have the court document handy atm but DM said in her description to LE (paraphrased)-
‘I just remember seeing bushy eyebrows but I didn’t see his eyes, like I knew eyes were there but I can’t describe them’.

IMO DM’s description makes total sense to me as BK not only has a prominent brow, his eyes are deep set. So deep set eyes with dark circles under them, a prominent brow area which imo juts out over his eyes (hope that makes sense) in a dark/barely lit house, and DM just getting just a passing glance at the masked intruder (BK imo), I can understand why she remembers/can only describe seeing his bushy eyebrows as considering all factors above, imo his eyebrows stood out to her as they likely ‘overshadowed’ his eyes.

That picture gave me nightmares last night, honestly, I’m still pretty rattled by it, absolutely creeps me out/
sends chills down my spine.

If what the state believes is accurate, he had already returned to the area of King Rd residence and gotten back home a short while before taking the photo.

According to the state...GPS data is consistent with his phone leaving Pullman at 9:00am, getting within area of King Road from 9:12-9:21, and traveling back to Pullman at 9:32.

I don't know why this popped into my head, but looking at these time stamps does anyone remember "when" Xana ordered food and a time stamp of "when" it arrived?

I know by 4.17am, security cameras located just to the northwest of the home picked up distorted audio of what sounded like voices or a whimper followed by a thud (my guess Xana).
