"A citation from Latah County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by The Independent, reveals that the 28-year-old criminology PhD student was stopped by police on 21 August for failing to wear his seatbelt.

The traffic stop took place at around 11.40pm at the intersection of West Pullman Road and Farm Road in Moscow, Idaho.

It is not clear what Mr Kohberger was doing in the area at the time – just 1.7 miles and a five-minute drive from the home on King Road where Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were stabbed to death on 13 November after returning from a night out."
IMO, must have been one of his WinCo trips. Google maps shows that intersection is very close to WinCo.

@kfixler

Breaking: #Idaho judge ruled Friday to allow a surviving roommate in the #Idaho4 murder case to testify she saw intruder with "bushy eyebrows," a blow to defense for #BryanKohberger, which wanted the physical trait nixed at trial. Story w/
@alex_brizee.

That photo, of JH... with his L shaped hand/fingers positioned ever so exhaustedly (from listening to AT's woes? lol) on his chin makes me smile every time I see him do that ☺️. He's attentive and has so many endearing expressions, so down to earth and 'business' leaving no legal stones unturned. This will end in favor of the 4 Angels and their families imo.. I'm very glad JH is the judge now in this case.

To whom do we think he said it?

As he descended the stairs after murdering MM and KG, was he shrouded in darkness when XK perhaps set her food in the kitchen, then emerged from the darkness as she moved toward her bedroom, his words designed to allay any fear so he could gain control over her? In three strides, he could have overtaken her, easy in the microslice of time her brain would have taken time evaluate friend v. foe, giving him the advantage, upon her while she was still processing, then a whimper as she realized he was 100% foe and by then, BK might have had her at her bedroom door, weapon to her neck, when he saw EC.

It's all too horrific, no matter how one imagines it.

expanding one of the quotes from the same document:

Regarding November 13, 2022, D.M. testified she woke up around 4:00 a.m. to noises. She testified she opened her door and heard a man's voice say, "It's okay, I'm going to help you. And I didn't know who the man's voice was." D.M. testified she opened her door again and saw "a figure in all black, which I believe was a person.

In order to have more context, you have to look the PCA:

D.M. stated she was awoken at approximately 4:00 a.m. by what she stated sounded like Goncalves playing with her dog in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which were located on the third floor. A short time later, D.M. said she heard who she thought was Goncalves say something to the effect of "there's someone here." A review of records obtained from a forensic download of Kemodle's phone showed this could also have been Kemodle as her cellular phone indicated she was likely awake and using the TikTok app at approximately 4:12 a.m. D.M. stated she looked out of her bedroom but did not see anything when she heard the comment about someone being in the house. D.M. stated she opened her door a second time when she heard what she thought was crying coming from Kemodle's room. D.M. then said she heard a male voice say something to the effect of "it's ok, I'm going to help you." At approximately 4:17 a.m., a security camera located at 1112 King Road, a residence immediately to the northwest of 1122 King Road, picked up distorted audio of what sounded like voices or a whimper followed by a loud thud. A dog can also be heard barking numerous times starting at 4:17 a-m. The security camera is less than fifty feet from the west wall of Kernodle's bedroom. D.M. stated she opened her door for the third time after she heard the crying and saw a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person's mouth and nose walking towards her. D.M. described the figure as 5' 10" or taller, male, not very muscular, but athletically built with bushy eyebrows. The male walked past D.M. as she stood in a "frozen shock phase." The male walked towards the back sliding glass door.

opened door 1st time: after hearing "there's someone here," looked out, didn't see anything
opened door 2nd time: after hearing crying coming from X's room, then heard "it's okay, I'm going to help you."
opened door 3rd time: doesn't state here what was the reason for opening the door the third time

So, she believed she heard crying from X's room, then opened the door and heard the "it's okay" part. IMHO, at the point at which he said that, he would have already interacted with X/gained control over her due to 1) DM had already heard what she thought was a whimper from X's room and 2) with her door open, she would have heard if BK was then actively subduing Xana...and she doesn't report that. X was already in her room when that was said....and I believe the reason DM then didn't hear any sounds of attack is because Xana had already been severely attacked, then Ethan, and then upon hearing Xana make noises that indicated she wasn't dead yet but had no ability to struggle significantly (at which point DM then opened her door), the killer went back to Xana for a final time while saying those words, and proceeded to deal her some final wounds.

Maybe BK will surprise us and take the stand.

Different case, soon headed to deliberation, the defendant took the stand and admitted to everything except the murder, somehow he didn't do that but he did kindly clean up the crime scene (where his murdered girlfriend lived) (as one does) and dispose of very incriminating evidence, everything but her body.

Maybe BK will have a similar story, how he just happened by the house, missed tripping over the real murderer but somehow left his knife and sheath there magically both before and after the murders, for that other guy to use half and leave half behind.

Maybe he'll demonstrate for us how he used to couldn't tie his shoelaces or apparently ride a bike.

As if it were relevant.

I think he will, we'll see! Would be interesting. He just thinks he's too smart for EVERYBODY imo.

I've always thought he said it to XK. However, my thought is not a good thought. We know she had defensive wounds - I think I recall almost severed fingers. IMO, He threw her against the wall, out of the way so he could get to EC before he could pose any threat. Then he went back to "put her out of her misery" (and said he was going to help her). I hate thinking about it.

Holy heck, what case is that?

Thread 'CT - Vanessa Morales, 1, missing after mother found deceased, Ansonia, 28 Nov 2019 *arrest* #2' https://websleuths.com/threads/ct-v...eased-ansonia-28-nov-2019-arrest-2snowmobile?

Not dissimilar to the sweatered ninja defense presented in the sad MollieTibbett's trial.

It can happen when defendants take the stand, with false confidence their story is somehow credible. Perhaps they don't think they're as much smarter than everyone else but that everyone else is just that dumb.

Perhaps BK has grown accustomed to exhausting his audience with pedantic answers, lengthy but without traction, and misinterpreting their fatigue as surrender to his genius.

Or maybe he'll just want to talk about stars.

Benjamin Roberts was in four classes with Kohberger at Washington State. Roberts told "48 Hours'" correspondent Peter Van Sant that Kohberger was very quick to offer his opinion and thoughts and that Kohberger would describe things in the most complicated, perhaps academic way possible.

"Trying to impress people?" Van Sant asked.

"It was like he was trying to convince people that he knew what he was talking about," replied Roberts.

That was my thought too, and I still wonder if he perhaps saw one or more of them at WinCo initially, and somehow followed them home. I can imagine them doing a late night beer run if a party was going on at 1122 King Rd. JMO

And 3 of the souls were 'collateral damage' to the murderer~ for jut being there :( Proven or not.

The most intellectual dummy in the room?🤭

ETA He sure seems to be trying to show his innocence in the most complicated but moronic way possible.

AT succeeded in getting BK associated with Bushy Eyebrows at a viral level.
