Only if they found something on his end, I imagine. She wouldn't tell a provable lie like this, so my guess is there's nothing.

What I do find interesting is that she doesn't accuse him of being a liar, but says that "he has no proof."

So I take this to mean that Blum is mostly wrong, but not totally wrong.

Not the OP but I don't think BK harbors regrets. That requires insight, self-awareness. If anything, he's upset with the victims, their fault it went sideways.

Wasn't his fault he was in the intersection when the light went red. PA didn't properly teach him about the ways of the crosswalk.

I happen to think BK has an elaborate and rigid moral construct by which he's never wrong.

It's always someone else's fault. Always. That is perhaps his core value and IMO the murders didn't change that. Arrest didn't change that. Trial won't.

He's probably still feeling thumbs uppy.

I can’t answer this one way or the other. It has been stated that blood couldn’t drain through the wall like that. I have a theory I have hesitated to share since early on because it is so morbid.

Several days after the murders LE brought in an HVAC company, it was widely debated as to why. It seems to me that if a body fell over a heating vent and drained out in to the ductwork and pooled there, it is very possible it dripped out and on to the sill plate. Sill plates are often poorly sealed if at all, blood could indeed make its way to the exterior there. This seems even more likely with a large male body. I’m a little unsettled sharing this theory and admit it is pure speculation.

Ooh, interesting. I have my drivers licence, and it was never even brought up. It’s not enough to be considered a disability on its own that would prevent getting a licence. And of course, he could have self diagnosed, or just gotten his licence at 16 or whatever, and only ‘discovered’ about it after and just not passed the info along when he renewed his licence.

One other point I’d like to say about VSS is that it tends to come with other ‘excitable’ diagnoses around puberty, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc. I have some of those myself.

And being in situations where your body is ‘excited’ (fear, anxiety, stress, super focus, killing college students) will absolutely make your VSS more intense. Absolutely. From a snow globe to a white out snow storm.

And on this point, I know we have talked about his uncomfortable creepy stare before. That overly intense focus. I actually think this is a result of his intense VSS. I find myself with the same very wide opened focused eye stare when I’m dealing with my VSS while say, night driving or focusing on a computer screen. You are literally trying to take in more visual information so your brain can sort things out.

My son has it and he finds his vision was better at night because of the lack of glare.

I suspect that he didn't get his license until later than most kids. According to the dates on his visual snow forum posts, he was still experiencing it in 2012 when he was around 18. In 2011 he was asking people if visual snow affected their driving, but didn't say if the question was in relation to himself or not. I know at least a before this, he had a friend pick him up from his house and drive him to to get drugs....which made me wonder a bit if he didn't have a license at that point.

According to his posts, he saw several doctors and it sounded like he was diagnosed.

He stopped posting there around Feb 2012 but said he had come to accept it (and before that it had also decreased some). I think it's entirely possible that his VS improved quite a bit, either on its own or due to his improved diet and lifestyle changes...in addition to maybe hitting upon a medication(s) that helped knock it down to level where it really didn't hinder him much.

I'm still going through all the photos but already (throughout the house) have seen vents on all surfaces (ceilings, walls, & floors). So, it doesn't seem like there was a standard choice.

Question: was it verifed that the red stain on the outside of Xana's bedroom was human blood? I remember lots of speculation about that, early on.

LE knows it is blood because they used Amido Black which specifically stains the proteins in blood a blue-black color. They know it is human blood because the print matches the design of a Vans sneaker. Unless animals wear Vans sneakers.

Intriguing. What mistakes did BK make, that made him?! And, if he had avoided those errors, would he be free now?

1. Leaving the knife sheath, with his DNA.
2. Buying the knife on Amazon, with sheath, that is directly related to BK.

What else, did BK do, that put the Bullseye, directly on him?!

5.) Went inside the house too soon which led to him being seen

If I’m remembering correctly, BTK’s identity was really by happenstance. No telling how many he could have killed as he wasn’t on the radar as a killer.

BK became a suspect because a WSU security officer was on the lookout for white Elantras and he saw BK's car so he ran the license plate and BK's photo and description came up matching DM's description. And his phone number was in the system due to a previous traffic violation.

It really comes down to the sheath. Without that they might never have had the probable cause to serve search warrants, and obtain further evidence.

And we still don’t even know how strong that further evidence is, and if it would have been strong enough to obtain a conviction without DNA.

He committed an insanely risky crime, despite all the preparation. I think he gets away with it if not for that error though.

They did obtain the Arrest and Search Warrants without using the sheath DNA. They actually had enough without DNA. However, I can only assume the GJ had the DNA evidence when they said yes to 4 indictments against him.

The DNA and the Amazon sheath and knife purchases are smoking guns.
