@Megnut
After listening to the podcast from Dateline I had a thought about those minutes BK had in XK's room. The Dr B on dateline who shared information about serial killers and their behaviors stated that most killers don't realize or know about adrenal exhaustion. BK just killed 4 people and he had to be exhausted. ( I paraphrase).

BK still had to have the energy to focus on getting away, changing clothes etc. Perhaps he froze up for a bit. He had to be overwhelmed. I won't mention what you alluded to earlier.

I kinda wonder if all those Bundy YouTube videos were him reliving the murders

I listened to The Terrible Night on King Road and I have a couple of questions.

1) 4 charges for murder and 1 charge of burglary. I didn't know about the burglary charge. Did he take something and if he did does LE have it or find it in his apartment or somewhere? A trophy?

2) After going back to PA, BK starts acting strange and his father gets suspicious. Dateline also states that his sister also gets suspicious and tells the father. Which sister? Could they be witnesses?

3) I'm pretty sure the witness list is sealed? Do we know any of the witnesses?

The defense filed a Motion to let BK's family watch the trial even though they could be called to the stand as witnesses. The catch is that they won't be called as witnesses in the guilt phase trial but will be called to mitigate BK's sentence in the penalty phase trial if he is found guilty.

My take on this Motion

Internet stalking went back IN the window for me.

He bought a gift card to buy a Kbar. One degree of separation.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was aware of one or more roommate's social media, pinned those pages by without pinning them by 'liking' their friends, swiping photos as he went.

23 trips to the neighborhood... maybe it didn't matter to him what his victim's name was. It's just not impossible to me that he may have done some cyber stalking in between his predatory drives.

Regardless, what is really disturbing (alongside every other disturbing thing) is how unaware his victims were...

Full of life, while BK was building out his fantasy.

Full of life, while BK was buying a gift card, then a Kbar... eventually a set of coveralls.

Full of life, while BK was imploding as a TA, probably gathering outrage.

Full of life, while BK was circling 1122 King Road, 23 times over many months...

Full of life, while BK sharpened his sharp knife, got in his car, turned off his phone...

Real life horror movie.

JMO
I've always believed that there was definitely cyberstalking of his victim(s). It will come out at trial.

They could only know that a garment of clothing had been removed from the house if it is something one of the survivors knew for certain was in the house when they all came home.

For example if it was a distinctive T-shirt that one of the victims had been wearing on the night out itself.

Other Examples: if one of the survivors established their jacket they wore to come home in was now missing from the house. Or their favourite towel they always had hanging in the bathroom had disappeared.

Or if it could be seen that a victim had been stripped or had their clothing item cut off and that particular item was not present but the fibres still were.

JMO MOO
I'm going with a black jacket/lightweight coat.

I don't want to get inside the mind of a criminal or stare into the BK abyss, but I'm curious whether anybody here has any insight into what he might be thinking as he sits in jail. I imagine he has a cell to himself, for his own protection.

Here's someone who, while not fantastically successful, did enjoy certain freedoms up until a few years ago and accomplished some things few people do -- the Master's, the PhD program. He wasn't maybe collecting accolades or winning friends, but he was living, moving and having being. Star gazing, tailgating, veganating...

So what's he doing now?

Push-ups?
Running in place?
Saving up to call home? Every day and twice on Sunday?
Does he have any portion of discovery to pour through?
Does he?
Does he read?
Does he interact?
Does he imagine being exonerated?
Does he have actual aspirations? Regrets? Does he have the capacity to feel bad?
Is he bored? Angry?
Does he feel detached from his current reality?
Does he write letters? Motions? Manifestos? A diary?
Does he relive his crimes?
Is he plotting future ones?
Is he mad at himself, for perceived missteps?
Is he pleased with himself? Finding fault in others?
Does he really think he'll ever be out?
Does he care?
Does he stare at the wall?
Does the wall stare back?

If he had it to do all over again, would he...
...do it differently? Or.... not do it at all? Or do it....worse?

Jail is too good for him. Three square meals a day, and the simple pleasure of being able to feel sunshine.

No, this man deserves the death penalty. Lethal injection IMO is very kind, considering the hell he put those kids and their families through.

This case makes me think the electric chair really does have a place in civil society. IMO he deserves nothing less.

MOO he would do things differently. Like clean the sheath better.
MOO he is not pleading guilty as his religion would require because he still feels justified.

Agreed.

<modsnip - off topic>

I happen to think that that is EXACTLY how BK thinks.

Not his fault he's the way he is.
Not his fault people are easy to control (never mind that they're ASLEEP).
Not his fault KG was there or XK was awake or that EC popped up.

I really wonder what rate his brain cycles on. Fast? Slow? Some of each?

100% on this.

I can see why AT is mentioning brain chemistry and head trauma in her motions because I think such issues may well be a factor. He just doesn't think like an average person, or even an eccentric person, jmo. The way he thinks is genuinely terrifying.

BK truly is a Bundy Wannabe, jmo. He aspires to evil "greatness." The terrifying thing for me is that I really do wonder still... what if he hadn't forgotten the sheath? Would they ever have gotten him? I know we like to believe LE would have, I know I'd like to believe it. But honestly, I have doubts. And look at the aggressive defense AT has been assembling, even with what I view as an open-and-shut case? Can you imagine what a BK defense would be like-- without that sheath?

I also wonder if BK doesn't have an outdoor CS or two in his background somewhere, from sometime. An outdoor CS with a single victim would offer natural advantages to a killer, and I sometimes wonder, did BK already have some "background" and feel he was ready to "graduate" into more complex and risky murders?

The sheath imo is what did him in. Without it... it might have been a completely different story. That one single mistake, but it (thankfully) was such a big one. Whatever drove him out of there with that sheat left behind-- it must have been quite powerful because I think otherwise, BK would have remembered it, and probably would even have gone back to retrieve it.

I can’t wait for the actual trial to start. It seems we are chewing over the same issues and points over and over 🤨 Wonder what new aspect of this we could discuss that would move us forward, even slightly. Only my humble opinion. 😁

PS: Sorry I don’t have any ideas to suggest and feel as frustrated as you all probably do at having to wait longer for more evidence and new details. 😫

What is an outdoor CS? Crime Spot?

I don't think he has emotions that normal people would find understandable. One thing I am pretty sure he's doing is reading a lot, but I don't know what kind of materials he's allowed to have. Someone more versed in the jail and prison system in Idaho may know what he's allowed to have.

He's do it again. He probably thinks he could just tweak a few things. Maybe the trial will disabuse him of this idea. My guess is that he likes the attention.

Crime scene, yep.
So are you thinking maybe an unsolved murder or harm to pets (can hardly bring myself to write that)? Or something else?

There might have been some hints (i.e., pets) at his potential in this area or it would never have entered the minds of some f@mi1y m€mbers when certain aspects came over the news. OMO.

I really do think BK may have killed before. I don't think animals, at least not in terms of recent history, Murphy was fine. But especially during BK's heroin years, he may have found what he'd consider easy victims, and jmo if he could restrain himself for periods (maybe even relatively shorter periods) in terms of the drugs, the murderer we saw at King Road would find the drug-fueled scenarios he'd be presented with almost irresistible. If he could get a fellow user outside and alone in a secluded area, he would probably already know-- or maybe just sense-- how difficult it would be for LE to gather potential DNA. That could potentially be like a dream come true for someone like BK, jmo. And this situation would be magnified exponentially (again, jmo) if he were actually dealing as well as using. That gives him more control over the logistics.

Just because he forgot the sheath-- it's not a foregone conclusion to me yet that he didn't kill before. He may have killed in circumstances that might be more favorable to murder (outdoor CS, single victim, maybe victim under influence of drugs or with a "rep" for drugs). If true (big "if"), BK may have become more and more emboldened by any successes he had. JMO, though.

Isn't AT one of the only, if not the only, DP certified defense attorney available? If so, would she have had no choice but to take on the other case? Seems to me that would be true, but if so, the judge would know this, so I don't see how he could say anything critical about her adding another DP case at this time, but he has been, I think. Confusing to me.
There are 13 total DP qualified Attorneys in ID. 8 Public Defenders and 5 in Private Practice. I personally do not believe the Judicial System would force AT to take on another DP case at while deep into representing such a complex and high profile mass murder. She took it on of her own accord IMO.

Much to the dismay and annoyance of Judge Hippler IMO, because AT's sooooo very, very busy she just can't get through all of Discovery on the Kohberger case and needs a Continuance. 🤬

Xana's jacket from going out that night.
It is not clothing, but I really wonder if the airpods BK had in when he took that infamous selfie after the murders, night have been a trophy, that belonged to Xana. We know that she was on TikTok right up until 4:12 am, and may have been using them, as others had already gone to bed. I have seen nothing in any search warrant stating that a pair was seized though, so if they were hers, it seems that he may have disposed of or buried them, along with the knife and clothing. Maybe the pic was meant to be his remembrance of them and the murders, anytime that he wanted to revisit them, in his mind. JMO
