She has shown she's willing to go late into the evening, though, so it's hard to tell what she'll be like with stuff like that. Why are opening statements not until Friday? I know the jurors are sworn in tomorrow, but are they also spending the day getting settled into their accommodations? Or are there other motions being heard tomorrow? Swearing in doesn't take all day. Just curious.

As always, JMO.

Motions hearing after jury is on their way west tomorrow.

In my understanding, they stay put in the morning of Thursday: they swear in the Jurors, settle any pretrial motions, and THEN move to Delphi, where the trial proper starts on Friday 9am.

That's my understanding from the tweets.

Why would he not mention the hair as solid evidence as well - if it was considered solid evidence that RA was there? No mention of it by the State in their PCA either... so it clearly didn't point to RA or anyone connected to him imo.....
Anyone clearly connected? DailyMail.com was then told "they were digging up the family's dead cat, whose hair proved a match for the samples found on one of the victims."

WOW! I've never seen anything like this. In my opinion, it makes it seem like everyone is in extreme danger if they are identified or something! I can totally understand the effort to conceal the identity of the jurors, but everyone else? This just feels so.....excessive for what we, the public, know about this crime. It really makes me wonder if this crime is part of some much larger crime, entity, whatever, that we don't know about yet. Remember Doug Carter's word.....tentacles. I feel very unsettled looking at that photo.

I wonder if there's also going to be heavy security at the place where the jury will be housed. I hope wherever they are staying doesn't get leaked.

IMO JMO MOO
It's a major case, with lots of media attention. It also involves the murder of two girls, which naturally leads to a more emotional climate than many other cases. It's the kind of crime committed by a lone killer, and I don't think there's anything more than that going on.

Do you happen to have a link for that? I'm wondering if they cited a source for that information.

With all the pinches of salt in the world, DM has a certain reputation in the UK, IMO

DailyMail.com has learned that, shortly after his arrest, one of Allen's neighbors recalled seeing police digging in his yard.

Now, DailyMail.com has been told they were digging up the family's dead cat, whose hair proved a match for the samples found on one of the victims.

Yeah, I am not quite sure there is much credibility to be found there - and doesn't that reporting violate the gag order? Or is the media/unnamed sources not covered by it?

Media in the US are not subject to any gag order; they can report what they want. The gag order would only apply to trial participants (prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses).

But yeah, massive grain of salt there.

Yeah, at this point, I think it was a lone killer too. He killed and then hid in plain sight for years.

Curious what folks think about the timing of the trial. Since jury is being sequestered, why start on Friday and then have to break for two days? I would think they have the last couple days with family and such before being locked away and get started on Monday. I’d prefer that, personally. MOO.

I'm almost choking to death on that salt after reading that! ;) I know DM is an approved source, but eek! I sure would love to know who their sources are!

Although, it all could be true, who knows. We'll have to wait and see.

As always, JMO.

Court is in session on Saturdays for this trial, I believe. If that has changed, someone please correct me.

I think the trial will also be on Saturdays too? Is that accurate?

"Two weeks later, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that, shortly after Allen's arrest, one of his neighbors saw police digging in his yard to exhume his family's dead cat.

The feline's hair also proved to be a match to samples found on one of the victims."
