That's the defendant, isn't it? Wasn't he said to be wearing purple? No one else thought the fella depicted in the purple shirt looked like Charlie Brown? Good grief! mooo

So searchers (eg: LG's family) who arrived to look for LG, they didn't see any clothing in the creek while the girls were missing? WHen were the clothes found then?
She said the girls were found in a "late-night search"??? EDITED because the emoji I didn't expect to pop up was not appropriate at all! Sorry! I tried to use the keyboard to create a kinda hmmm kinda face without using emoji and it instead created a horrible emoji!Posted four (1:00 pm ET) hours ago

More from morning testimony, per media pool: Libby’s grandma, Becky Patty told about the day Libby and Abby went to the Monon High Bridge Trail on a day off from school. “And the last thing she said to me was, grandma, it will be OK.”
Becky Patty testified that after the girls were found in a late-night search, investigators wouldn’t take her to see Libby. She said she realized they were dead when she saw a coroner’s truck going by. From media pool reporters

I thought they were found midday? She said the girls were found in a "late-night search"???![]()

I believe so, however, I'm not sure so I just said "fella" instead of taking a possibly inaccurate guess. That's the defendant, isn't it? Wasn't he said to be wearing purple?
No. The prosecution basically outlined what we already know from the AA, and the defense made the arguments you’d expect them to make in response. So I am finding it impossible to catch up. Was there any big bombshells from either side in the opening?
They were. I'm guessing this is reporter error. "In" rather than "after".I thought they were found midday?
I am again sorry that my post made an inappropriate emoji! I had no idea that typing a particular series of characters in a row would make that happen! I edited immediately but was horrified to see it pervasive into the quoted post! : (I thought they were found midday?
I'm behind on the thread so apologies if this has already been discussed but if they were taken elsewhere, how does that fit with Libby's phone? Her abductors let her keep the phone on her but turned it off? And then left it with her body? Doesn't really make sense (no surprise).I'm curious to hear the facts of a second crime scene proving that the girls were killed elsewhere.
A killer could have dumped clothes in the creek while LEAVING the area with the kids (as an idea, speculation as to how this could have happened, am NOT saying this DID happen!). Could have been "searching" and tossed them in without other searchers even noticing it happen.... just sayin... moooo.I wonder why Abby's clothes were in the creek if the girls were killed elsewhere. Did the killer not only decide to return the heavily bleeding girl's bodies to where the all the search action was, but also toss the clothes in that part of the creek? I am surprised he didn't leave a note with his name and number as well!

Turned it off exactly where the bodies were found, too.I'm behind on the thread so apologies if this has already been discussed but if they were taken elsewhere, how does that fit with Libby's phone? The defense making these arguments isn’t an indication that they don’t think he did it. They’d make them regardless of what they believed.Great question. Since the defense team doesn't think RA did this, I guess we have to think why would a "group" of people (which is their theory) do that? To stage the scene would be my guess (for what they will say), but "mistakes were made."
As always, JMO
You’re fine, I didn’t even see the emoji.I am again sorry that my post made an inappropriate emoji! I had no idea that typing a particular series of characters in a row would make that happen! I edited immediately but was horrified to see it pervasive into the quoted post! : (
As far as I know, the searchers were paired up at a minimum. I don't think anyone was solo for safety reasons.A killer could have dumped clothes in the creek while LEAVING the area with the kids (as an idea, speculation as to how this could have happened, am NOT saying this DID happen!). Could have been "searching" and tossed them in without other searchers even noticing it happen.... just sayin... moooo.
