Mind boggling really.

Total incompetence and something that should have been done once it was found.

Whether male, female or animal the question that needed to be answered like 7 or so years ago is how did it get tangled up on Abby's finger and why?

It might or might not be relevant, but it is something that should have been tested, assessed and mostly worked out well before now.
Ohh-- Did I miss where the incompetent prosecutors state that it was tested ???
I didn't read about that today.
Please advise.

How would they know it is from a Female if it hasn't been tested ??
Please advise.

Has anyone heard if juror questions will be allowed?

Boy, Allen sure does love knives.
This is where I start to sympathize/have my own doubt with this case, and also the Idaho case. I collect knives. Loved them ever since I got my first tiny pocket knife as a boy (in fact, I have so many different sizes and blades of the same knife from that first little pocket knife my grandpa gifted me).

If I was ever accused of a crime, I'd look guilty as hell and convicted in the public eye just from the release of the search warrant alone. Dozens of knives? Several computers, many flash drives, and other electronic storage devices? Quiet dude who keeps to himself?

It’s like, having lots of knives doesn’t make you a killer, but you’d expect a killer who used two knives to have many more at home.

It doesn’t mean much, and shouldn’t factor into a jury’s decision even a little bit, but I find it interesting.

I think it had only come out that they were killed with an “edged” weapon and no other details had come out at all. Though there were rumors in the early, early days of police asking tippers if the poi they were tipping in had any unusual or curved weapons
And JBC certainly took the opportunity to put it in their face at the time.
Why, I don’t know but I remember reading how at the time, LE didn’t have any DNA information on him because he was previously incarcerated before they did DNA testing on prisoners. However, I’m sure they tested him once he was arrested for the crimes he committed on his neighbor next door. IMO

I'm gobsmacked by the admission they don't know who's hair it is.
Don't be

If they know it is female, they more than likely know whose hair.

Just because they didn't say it today, doesn't mean they do not have the information.

the hair is a nothing.... just a ruse the D team wanted to throw out to the jury in their Pre trial statements.

So you don't believe they have been scrambling to get it tested ASAP? (I'm not saying i believe that or not....I really don't know since we didn't hear it for ourselves and are having to rely on the telephone game).

You believe it was already tested and has been identified/matched to a person?

I'm curious to hear the facts of a second crime scene proving that the girls were killed elsewhere.
You will be waiting a long time because there are no facts to support this theory.

If he knocked Abby out - she never appeared to have moved during/after - and killed Libby first that knife would be dull and slippery. Maybe he pulled out a fresh one for Abby. He showed her more mercy in many ways.
I see no mercy in anything the killer did to those girls. He gets no props from me for murdering Abby more 'gently'.

Well, not yet. Maybe there will be. We have a long way to go in this trial.

As long as you don’t admit to being at the same place and time as a brutal murder, then change your story later, you should be ok. Don’t leave a knife sheath behind either!

Questions are allowed from juror's per Andrea Burkhart on YouTube who was in court today gave a great recap of everything that occurred today as well as a really good summary of the testimony and opening statements.

"Baldwin also said hair found in Abby's hand was a possible match to a female relative of Libby, and not Allen."

Why spend money testing further. It was accounted for hair - Abby had spent the night at Libby's - and not the killer's.

Well I still haven't made my mind up on this case, it has never made sense. So I'm glad the trial's here to see what each side has.

She's awesome. Listening now (but haven't heard that part yet or wasn't paying attention!). Thanks! So, did any jurors have any questions yet?

Why spend money testing further? Because most murder victims are killed by someone they know. I'm not saying THESE girls were, but it seems like police work 101 to me (my opinion)! Especially since the victims were children! Why wouldn't they is a more logical question to me.

No, but he dressed her, expressed remorse, and killed her instantly. So it's *more* mercy than Libby.

Must be incompetent if the Prosecutors are scrambling to get it tested right now.

Just two days ago some of Libby's family were tested to see if there is a connection.

Let's see if this alleged Piece of Work tries to blame Odinists for his depraved actions again.
