CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #4

IMO I wish we had a photo of Lilly wearing the backpack so we knew it actually existed.
First day of school picture? Who doesnt take one of those? If not, the next best thing would be the teacher or her friends. The RCMP no doubt would have checked that out. Maybe not seeing proof of that, is also an indicator of something.

Please could someone give me a quick update on this case? As I said in a much earlier post, I am on holiday with no internet data (WAY too expensive) and limited WiFi so I don't have time to read through many posts.
Thank you in advance 🙂

There was a second wave search to go over some of the same areas LE originally searched, but there's been next to nothing as far as updates. 35 people were identified to be interviewed by LE. No idea what/if that produced anything.

Wow, still nothing AT ALL?
RCMP still classing this as SAR and missing person investigation?
Thank you so much for your quick response! Quickly trying to skim read about 3 or 4 threads!

It's attracted a ton of interest - from throughout Canada, USA, and abroad. So there's a ton of talk, rumours, and opportunistic SM "content", but as far as mainstream legit news sources - nothing new that the public knows about.

Yup... I'm from the UK when I'm not on holiday in Albania!

Sorry for the slight derailing of this thread.. as you were sleuthers!

If I was a journalist at a press conference I would ask:
what is the relationship between mother and DM family?
who has legal custody of kids?
do parents have previous convictions of drugs, abuse, violence, or involvement with child services?
has Landsdowne recreation area been searched?
have restaurants gas stations motels staff been interviewed?
has a cadaver dog been utilized?
when are LE going to move to next phase?
has LE recovered any evidence?
Has any construction sites or gravel pits been searched?

As well, if Lily thought she was going to school, she would have probably packed a little lunch, even if all snacks. After that many days there isnt even a trace of a juice box or a wrapper. They found a little star sticker, so I dont think they'd miss any evidence of them eating whatever she may have packed in a lunch.
I agree. Even if she was too young to remember pre-primary, she would be in the groove come the end of her second year. IMO, her routine would be fresh.

That statement threw me for a loop also. I think it’s a mistake and “at their residence” on Gairloch Road got left on the cutting room floor. It’s never been reported as last seem on the road in any other subsequent RCMP releases either, just that first one.
JMO
I disagree. IMO, the RCMP would only be specific if they could confirm details given to them by DM and MBM on May 2nd when 911 was called. Specifics would have been imperative for the vulnerable person alerts. MOO

FWIW, Nova Scotia has a provincial lunch program for public school students.

They were last seen at home”

Okay, I give, they were not last seen on the road. Keep the “I told you so’s” to yourself please.
In your defense, it was very terribly phrased. "At their home on Gairloch Rd. would have been the competent way of describing it. If this was the first and/or only article a person read about this case, no doubt they would assume the author meant they were seen ON the road. You need the context that they were last seen at home, and that their home is on Gairloch road, to accurately interpret what they meant. The fact that it was subject to debate at all shows what bad writing it is, imo. Good writing is clear and concise, not fodder for mind-reading and guessing games.

Maybe staging isn't the right choice of words here. I said it seemed staged in an earlier post, but after considering it, I don't believe it was staged per se but rather the backpack (if confirmed she actually owned said backpack) was disposed of to hide evidence and the story of Lily taking the backpack with her is a cover for the backpack also being missing.
The whole backpack thing reminds me of Maddie Soto :(

well that shoots my packed a lunch theory right out of the water lol
What else would she take her knapsack for? Kids pack snacks and junk. I hope we get confirmation that she even had a strawberry knapsack.

Not saying this case is related to Lilly and Jack’s investigation. But thank God all these teams were packing up and were within less than a hour of Jack and Lilly wandering off when MBM called 911 Friday morning….

"A missing youth who fell into the water while kayaking in Pictou County, N.S., has been found dead.

Nova Scotia RCMP said emergency crews were called to Eden Lake Thursday around 5 p.m. for a report of an overturned kayaker. Police said two youths who knew each other were paddling on the lake in separate kayaks, when one of them overturned and was submerged in the water.

Multiple agencies were involved in the search, including Pictou County fire services, Ground Search and Rescue teams, and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association. A Department of Natural Resources helicopter and RCMP drones also aided in the search, which lasted more than 24 hours

Police said Friday around 7:45 p.m. underwater recovery team divers located and recovered the youth’s remains. They said criminality is not believed to be a factor in their death.

“Thank you to the Pictou County community for the support provided for this and other regional searches in recent day,” read an RCMP news release Saturday.

“Our thoughts are with the youth’s family at this difficult time.”

Hopefully this doesn’t come off as crass, and it’s pure speculation and only my opinion but I have a hard time believing the parents and or step parent weren’t involved in the disappearance, if not them who? I find the whole they left on their own accord suspect, moo

Too many of these cases end up being the parents being involved

Might vary from school to school ,but in most schools I know it would be reading book, reading record/home school contact book, drawings or pieces of writing done in free time ,maybe a ball or skipping rope for playtime.and a snack and water bottle

Fantastic work... the RCMP and SAR must be stretched pretty thin out there

My experience of a backpack for both JK, SK and Gr1 and up.... dirty soaking mitts, hard snacks, ripped open packages, leaking apple sauce, 5 water bottles (all empty), paintings, library books, stale Bear paw cookies, lots of moldy cheese string packs, and the beloved daily journal containing chats between student, teacher, and where parents must sign or add concerns. I wonder if RCMP has checked the 6yr olds? Speaking of which, the mother has stated that both kids are undiagnosed Autistic. To what level? And what were they capable of doing understanding etc. She said they were both non verbal.
