I find it doubtful the polygraph examiner officially told Daniel that he passed. They have to rewatch the video and examine the data. Maybe consult their superiors. If Daniel point blank asked if he passed, this might just be what they are told to say to everyone.

And here is the video to accompany above article. Lots of new info from the paternal grandma. So sad, she seems like such a nice lady.

She really believes the kids aren’t in the woods and that somebody harmed them. When I watched a different video I could really imagine them being lost in there somewhere and missed by searchers. Considering Malehya said they play most times just beside the woods there, I could totally see them walking off and getting lost. Would the searchers and dogs find them? I honestly don’t know what to think about this. Another part of me thinks both MBM and DM are fibbing about their account of what happened that morning and something more nefarious happened. I’m torn between the two.
I sort of rambled here.. I was really wondering why the Grandma is so certain the kids aren’t in the woods and something else happened to them. Wondering if she knows something that she can’t say on camera

I think her belief that the children aren’t in the woods is shared by many. I too do not think they went into the woods. So the next conclusion is they were taken and probably came to harm at the hands of someone, either known to them or not.
IMO

I think she alluded to it in the interview. She spoke of how dense the woods are and how difficult it is to navigate, having to climb over and under trees. It would be very difficult for them to get very far in those conditions. IMO if the did enter the woods the dogs would have picked up a scent somewhere in the vicinity. What caught my attention is how she went from thinking M was a great mom, but was super concerned about the condition of the home, the cleanliness and how unkept it was. I believe she said "she used to think she was a perfect mom, and part of me still believes that."

I liked her yard a lot. Are these all wooden trees or maybe wire ones?

I think they may have said something like - thank you for consenting, we appreciate your engagement, you did well in the session etc and he ran with it and felt relief and he heard he passed

Good point.
I do think they want to keep him talking and cooperating.
Imo.

I'd like to know whether the family has ever had any issues with wildlife capturing and killing (or stealing) any of their chickens or have noticed any nearby stalking them - coyotes, cougars, lynx, or even bobcats.

I’ve thought something similar regarding MBM. This is all speculation. I’ve known people who get into new relationships and they’re totally head over heels with the guy. Now she’s bringing in extra baggage meaning the kids (not to sound disrespectful) to a home where the guy is perhaps used to living on his own). Going from being single and carefree to a family with young kids can be overwhelming to some people. Yet he’s in love with her and she’s in love with him so they stay together. Perhaps he’s the one to scold the kids more or all the time because he’s getting annoyed (blood is thicker than water). She goes along with it because he’s her everything and she just wants to be with him. I’ve personally seen relationships like this. Basically the guy’s an a$$ but yet she doesn’t think so. Kids can be put on the back burner in situations like this since they’re not his biological children. She gets pregnant with his child and afterwards the other kids are neglected even more. Sometimes the mother will lose all perspective. Not quite sure where I’m going with this, lol. I guess I’m just kind of thinking that perhaps this happened to MBM. Maybe before being with DM she was all about her own kids and a really good mom. Sometimes new relationships with the wrong guy can really screw things up.

Hopefully all this chatter isn’t too confusing

Daniel also has two kids with another woman. I'm not sure if they were married or whether that woman also lived in this mobile home with their two children.

Paternal Grandmother: “There's no reason for any child to wander deep into the woods, there's just not. The brush is just too thick.
I agree with her 100% and have felt this way from very early on. I grew up in this region and have younger kids of my own. I cannot possibly imagine my kids at that age venturing through a thick, dense, uninviting forest filled with sharp-pointy trees and branches while being completely underdressed for the cold temperature. There's just no way in my mind that they could have ventured very far on their own... and that tens of thousands of SAR hours found very little, if any, evidence.

Here’s a clip I haven’t seen before
Starting at 5:25 in this video the voice over states that Amy Hanson has been the search manager for most of the searches for the kids. Showing the reporter how thick the downed trees are she mentions it's the biggest search she's ever been involved in, and the voice over states she's been at this for 22 years.

Then she's asked by the reporter: Do you think those kids are in the woods?
She replies: from everything I've seen, yes.
Reporter: why can't you find them?
Amy Hanson: they're small, they'd be hiding, they would have crawled underneath something probably when they got tired, they could have gone further than what we've searched, there's all kinds of scenarios, unfortunately.

It's striking to me that a SAR with 20+ years on the job believes those kids are still in the woods.

in the absence of evidence of abduction what is the SAR leader to believe? Or, more to the point, what else is she to say to reporters she believes? That the story given by the mother and her boyfriend is a hoax?
ETA I am not saying she believes or disbelieves the story told about the morning the kids went missing. I am simply saying I wouldn't expect the SAR leader to say so if she doesn't believe those children are in the woods.

This might not mean anything but I noticed that DM sort of flipped the script here

DM: I was not in deep sleep by any means and then about 20 minutes passed, then when I woke up Malehya was right beside me, she was still asleep and I said I don’t hear Lilly and Jack

When MBM was on camera in May (this is just part of her interview) she said

I tell him, my partner Daniel, I tell him do you hear the kids and he says no and we get up instantly
Both parents imo were out for the count as they say in ireland . I feel both parents are covering their bums so cps don't take meadow on top of possibly never finding jack and lilly.

This is what I don't get about the accusations thrown in daniels direction . If both Maleyha and Daniel are on the same page re sleeping, how can her family accuse him of harming the kids . Unless it was a broad 'it's your fault for bringing us here kind of accusation .

I have noticed this narrative of events has changed a few times from Maleyha trying to sleep to feeding the baby to now the two asleep but Daniel only basically resting with eyes closed.

Deep sleep or light sleep doesn't make a difference your still bloody asleep and definitely not feeding a baby

IF they were in the woods, I believe the search dogs would've found them.
Imo.
