She had already been searching a wooded area behind and maybe also beside their property. She showed the reporter all where she'd been. And then she went back down to the property and mentions she went into her house, by which I suppose she means her RV. Maybe she did need the bathroom or had to check her dog or who knows? Then she mentions sitting crying on the saw-horse. So it could have been just a few minutes in the house.

It is always valuable to have an insight from a poster who lives in the same environment and with similar weather conditions. I would not have thought of whether or not it was the season for a pool . Is May ,spring time or beginning of summer. Irish summer months are May , June, July. But August is officially the beginning of autumn but a lot of people consider it as a summer month .
and you are so right the height of the season is may and June and they are most prominent around water ( making a pool 
) and wooded areas . If their bites are anything like the horsefly in ireland. It's very painful and can quickly turn to cellulitis if not cleaned regularly. I got 3 bites this summer and not pretty
can you do a short quote of where it states DMs uncles ,dad and brother live on landsdowne Road, that is quite an interesting bit of info . Not in a sinister way but they must know that area like the back of their hand and I'm sure they would have helped search , I know DMs brother was pictured on the rv very early on . So if locals with assumed knowledge of the area could not find them its strange and I'm speculating that prehaps DM still goes out looking even if it's just in the regular going about the place
The impression I got is that she mentioned it because of the irony. The boot print was found in the same spot she'd been raking to level out for the pool.
I agree. I also wonder why she would choose to put pool there and not in fenced yard?kids would need to be supervised anyways, but the lawn is better for little feet and less dirty. I see there’s a setee and flower pots set up, but all is on the outside of her fenced court yard.
I agree. I just don't believe the children are dead. I know my theory isn't terribly rational for the reasons you stated here. But IMO MBM leaving the area so quickly is something I just can't get past (among other doubts I have).

No disrespect to everyone involved, but from the media interviews and police coverage, I did not get the sense these were people who 'get up and get their gear on and go outside in incremental weather and do chores.' MBM and DM were supposedly dozing with Meadow at 10 a.m. while the two children were supposedly outside playing. I can't cast an opinion on JM, but she also went back to bed around 9:30 a.m. May in Ontario and Nova Scotia is cold. It sometimes snows, and it is black fly season. Nobody is getting their gardens ready let alone a pool. I found JM's instistence that the children did not go into the woods interesting, as it pushes the same theory that MBM and DM raised from the get-go: abduction. But the RCMP is still saying abduction is not a theory they are pursuing.
My very limited experience with above-ground pools is that first you do have to rake and level the area where it will go. Then, you'll get a LOT of sand - probably a pick-up truck load's worth or two - to cover over the raked area and around where the pool will sit. The sand and prep needs to happen in a bigger circumference than just the pool's footprint. That prep takes time, and that kind of space or vehicle traffic might be hard to do in the fenced-off yard (where the chickens are? Or maybe that yard slopes too much?) If they were planning to put pavers or a deck around it, that's more prep also.

I've been up north and out east in May when the black flies are thick as syrup, and yes, folks are outside working, tending to their property, animals, gardens, whatever, covered in protective bug netting and all sorts of things. Or, with no protection at all. These folks live there, and they're used to these things.
