Yes I thought it was a great thread and fair dues to whoever created it .

It shows one that it's common and two that enough interest was shown and queried for someone to go to the effort of making a references list

I always felt that if the kids as alleged wandered off that morning that they didn't wander too far from the main yard and they would be found eventually within an area searched and most likely less than 1km from the trailer.

If as alleged they did wander I reckon when they heard or saw the commotion they got really scared and hid especially if punishment for wrongdoing was physical as is speculated from them having black eyes by some

To be clear, from the documents released, DM said he “thought” he heard a scream, but when he stopped, any sound was drowned out by a helicopter. To me this did not sound like a certainty a scream was heard. IMHO

I've been trying to be careful when posting about what DM "said" and stating that, or saying "if" what he said... etc.

Apologies if I may have misconstrued it somewhat in my posts as him "saying he heard screaming", versus "he thought he heard a scream".

It still seems kind of perplexing why if he did think he heard a scream while LE was searching, he didn't bring it up to them right away (if he didn't, so much of what we know is what he said at his own behest in interviews it seems, IMO, and LE has not confirmed) and instead mentioned it after the fact not during media interviews, if that is the origin of his statement.

Although he seemed very certain that Lilly and Jack would not be found on their property, so if the scream he thought he may have heard was from off their property, maybe it makes more sense in that context.

MOO, and still grasping at proverbial straws here.

Sincerely hoping LE's new searches with cadaver dogs is going to help find some more evidence pointing towards where in the world they went.

Twistinginthewind, I think it’s possible you’re remembering correctly the comment about MBM wanting to leave DM but attributing it to the wrong grandparent. In the same Globe and Mail Aug 8 article, it was BG who said MBM didn’t want to stay there, BG said if she had known, she would have helped, and MBM said yes, her mother said the same thing. Paraphrasing.

I’m just curious how BG would know MBM wanted to leave DM considering BG said MBM cut off contact with her when she moved in with DM? So then if BG knew MBM didn’t want to stay there, then she must’ve known and so why didn’t she help ???

If BG said these things IMO she can’t have it both ways. Either she maintained a relationship with her grandchildren and their mother over the prior two years, or she did not.

This is in that Aug 8th Globe and Mail article. MBM said this to BG in a communication on June 15th, well after the children had gone missing. BG expressed her sorrow, that had she known she would have helped. MBM responded, yes, that’s what my mom said too. Paraphrasing.

^^ This in my opinion. I can imagine, the priorities were about the same before Lilly and Jack disappeared.

so let's say, she decides to watch a tv show or play a game or read a book or a million other things we all do during our days, whether we're going through something traumatic or not - we still stop and do other things and don't get judged for it

so why is she being judged for something that literally (I tested it) takes three seconds?

You’re 100% correct. Regardless of her perceived guilt or innocence, deleting an app is a non factor to me. I wouldn’t want law enforcement reading my messages unless I felt it would help the case. I delete apps and messages all the time and I’m not a criminal.

Nothing that was released in her RCMP interviews indicated MBM was scared, indeed she considered DM to be a supportive step-father.

By the tone of BGs interviews she clearly is biased against DM so it’s possible MBM was just telling her what she wants to hear. Did MBM expect BG to become her public spokesperson, I doubt it considering their relationship had been severed for two years.

Regardless, many of the ‘facts’ attributed to this case are from secondhand “he said/she said” sources that can’t be proven. Some of it might border on media ‘hype’ and whether facts of the case or not, it’s impossible to know at this point.

If the Globe and Mail is to be believed, MBM was in a controlling relationship that made her fearful and she had been trying to leave for some time. ie. DM is not the great guy he portrays himself to be in interviews (he did everything for the kids, did the lion's share of caring for them, etc. so forth)

If it is not to be believed then a mother left the location her children went missing from within days of their disappearance, took her tender age baby with her leaving that baby's father alone and completely cut him off and hasn't been heard from since except to notify the world via socials that she was single. ie. MBM is not the greatest person. (JMO)

Personally, I believe the G&M article. I think MBM left because she had an opportunity to with all that family backup and I think she knew her older children weren't going to be located and were not coming home. Only she can tell why she knows this and knew it so early on. But I don't think she ever will. All just MOO

I agree about unused apps as you state.

But this was an app she relied on to communicate in the remote area where the trailer was that she lived at.
Until she left and no longer needed it and/or wanted it.

At this point ie my precious babies are missing why on earth would you stop any form of communication. What if one of them were trying to get in touch? Ok I know they were 4 and 6 but I’m sure more than able to send a message on someone else’s phone. I don’t know what the app in question is but..

What would each of us would do if we had the misfortune of being in her situation? It appears she’s been fully cooperative with the RCMP and their investigation, that’s what’s most important. Regardless of public curiosity, maybe she chooses not to further all the speculation about her missing children by remaining silent.

Part of me admires her dignity.
