Janie was up and awake from about 7am Maleyha was awake and texting at 6.28am or thereabouts . Maleyha claims to have heard the kids chatting in the bedroom around this time too . The time of Maleyha feeling the kids went missing is redacted so if there is even an iota of a chance that janies first statement is the true timeline the kids could have been missing much earlier than 8.48 am

The fact janie had to second guess and the redacted time of kids suspected to have gone missing is what has me doubting they went missing so soon before DM was hot on their tail .

Yes Daniel said it was one of the first things he checked after racing around the trailer.

I wonder if the river was in his train of thought as a possible reason for prehaps the kids wandering out of the yard and further than normal boundaries

In a moment of panic upon discovering that ones kids were missing, I believe a person would quickly and subconsciously analyze all the information they have and respond accordingly. It wouldn't be until later that they might talk themselves out of believing what they knew to be true in those first few minutes.

DM might have subconsciously known things such as where he last heard the children's voices, what they were chattering about, which direction were they moving, did a car door bang, was anyone awake at Grandma's, where is the most logical place that the kids would go based on what he knew?

So if DM raced to check the culverts and walk up to his waist in the water, then he might have had a reliable, subconscious reason to do so.

She did base her statement of hearing the kids around the phone call at 8.48 am but she initially stated it was before it then subsequently changed that to afterward its in the documents previously posted .

So it would appear she was unsure at first . So the fact she had doubted the timeline can the subsequent timing she claims to have heard the kids be taken with absolute certainty ?

There might not have been much difference in the time before the phone call or after. She likely would remember if she heard the kids outside and it was still dark.

I wonder what time it became bright . I recall DM stating the sun had come up but I don't recall what time as it was in his earliest msm interviews . The links would definitely be in thread 1

Or prehaps the jackets were in the laundry bag 🤔

I know my 4 year old grandson will go out in all sorts of weather , bare feet in lashings of rain etc but he does hate the cold and at 1 and 2°C he will say he doesn't like the cold biting his face and hands so I don't know if he would actively play out in that cold without a jacket
bbm
This!! Maybe, MBM only called the school, because it was too much trouble for her to search for the clothes in the bag. MOO

Yes prehaps a week of overwhelm resulted in it being an easier option to call the kids in sick therefore not having to expel already depleted energy levels unpacking clean clothes for school.

The search I'm presuming is already underway it's 12.28 on Saturday morning here

Please god something of value to the investigation or the family is found today

Are they searching the same area or a completely different one? I read there’s going to be around 40 people searching. Is that correct? And does that include le? Tyia

I had read the focus of the search will be along the river

Good question, I had been questioning if the rcmp will oversee the search as I was wondering what if evidence was found and say a family member or local resident found that evidence would LE not want to ascertain that the person was finding the evidence innocently and not in a different manner say in a manner that they knew the location but wanted to pretend they didn't.

Or would LE have to be the ones to bag up anything found so it can be forensically tested 🤔

How do these volunteer searches work do volunteers just call in a suspected piece of evidence and do not touch until LE get there .

I also wondered if the media will be present or if the only info pertaining to the search will be posted on fb and if that's the case can we bypass WS rules and post here ???

I’d like to think media would be there. Hopefully they are. I’d love if they could share what’s happening in today’s search. This curious cat wants to know 😉

Perhaps for whatever reason they couldn't take the jackets, but Daniel did report that two of his sweaters were missing. Maybe the kids took them to be warm.

But even so, I think they would still be waaaaay to cold to go wander in the woods and even less likely to want to go swim. It was nearly freezing!
If they had played outside for a bit, they should have gotten cold and should have wanted to go somewhere warm. Not in the woods / to the river.

IMO

Edit: typos

Yes this is what I suspect Daniel did

Oh maybe but laundry was Wednesday night. I’m not quite buying that nobody could’ve possibly put the clothes away on Thursday, why do we assume that? Just because the kids went to bed in the clothes they were wearing?

Plus costs don’t have to go back in a laundry bag or hamper. It’s easy enough to leave the coats out so the children could’ve worn them home.

Same query I made, could the laundry have been done on Thursday? Short answer I got was, No. The washing was done on Wednesday.

That was me replying with a short " Wednesday, didn't mean to come across as curt my apologies.

According to documents the laundry was definitely reported as being done on Wednesday. The Thursday it only describes going to new Glasgow, the happenings there , the arrival home , the call from cyndy in the late afternoon , Malehya tiding around a bit , scrolling through her phone and kids and herself bed . There is no mention of going to grandma patti 's to do more laundry on the Thursday and I'm assuming because laundry was being done in patti's that the trailer didn't have a washing machine but Malehya speculatively could have hand washed the kids coats on Thurs but I highly doubt it

Yes count me in and probably most of us can recall pulling clean clothes piece by piece out of the laundry basket. In my earlier days with young children sometimes it didn’t get put away until the basket was almost empty. I think we’re making a bigger deal out of clean laundry than it actually was. Odds are against everything we know about is all connected.

ETA It annoys me when I can’t find what I think I remember. Does anyone recall a fairly recent interview with DM stating the children had never been to the other side of the road? If they’re not found during this search perhaps future searches in areas behind their home would prove worthwhile. The question would be what’s a more tempting adventure for children, the unknown or some place familiar.

The connection I make is home life was chaotic. Which is somewhat verified by mbm stating she often felt overwhelmed. DM also gives us insight into mbm feeling overwhelmed.

None of us are perfect and at times will leave dirty dishes in the sink , laundry waiting to be dried or put away . This scenario is part of modern busy lives where both parents are working full time , kids in club and the running of the home can make the most energetic of us tired and having to prioritise needs over wants .

But both parents were basically stay at home parents with DM only working one day per week , they were young and not in any physical ill health that we know of , so the bigger deal is what prevented a set of pj's being pulled from the bag , was it prioritising something else ? Was it mental health ? Or was it a case of the unpacked laundry being an indicator of the circumstances surrounding the disappearance. I think this is the point others are making 🤔

Please do not apologize, Su5ie. I know you have kept your eye keenly on each development in this case. I am grateful you knew the facts and that you corrected me. Thank you!
