Earlier in the thread, Lily’s backpack was mentioned. It was said she kept it by her bed. It is my understanding that it also went missing. This may be a wacky thought, but did the parents notice if any food/drink went missing? This case has me baffled and I’m not even sure the contents matter, but I am just curious.

Unknown, nothing about missing food/drink was ever mentioned.

It is absurd to think that somebody who knew about the children would show up on a school day to abduct them. Just... no. That didn't happen.

What we know is that the children had a time frame to leave the yard. Probably about an hour. They could have went out on the street or they could have went into the woods. Either way all it would have taken is for them to meet up with some perv. The street is by far more likely. What I truly do not understand about this case is that you would think there was an abduction vehicle involved yet somehow the RCMP do not seem to be on this.

There really don't seem to be any other options.
No abduction IMO

I don’t think so either, it hardly makes sense that someone abducted them and hasn’t been caught, but also, as my mother always says, “I have no earthly idea.”
In other words, if aliens didn’t abduct these kids I have no idea what happened.

Yes, I agree, no abduction. I don’t buy that some perve “happened by” just as the kids were there for the taking. And I also don’t believe said perve had any way of plotting to kidnap the kids with foreknowledge that the 3 adults on the property would be in snoozyland.
Just my humble opinion…

Would Lily have had a tablet for school work? I do not remember LE mentioning it, but I thought I'd ask.

She may have access to a personal tablet at school, but she not likely would be permitted to take it home. I have a wee gdaughter the same age who lives nearby, and that is the way it is for her.

Interesting thought; I wonder what signs of recently eaten food investigators found the morning they supposedly disappeared. Since they were up for awhile with both adults sequestered in the bedroom with Meadow, you'd think they at least snacked on something I g like granola bars or ate cereal and/or fruit, whatever they normally did on days like this. Were there any signs of that on *this* particular morning? Signs of them being there at all?

I think odds of abduction are really low. Odds on drug overdose are much higher whether by accidental ingestion or intentionally dosed but accidentally given too high a dose. In my social work years, deaths by unintentionally overdose of intentionally given benadryl was a repeat happening. These days with fentanyl laced everything, numerous drugs for sedation and sleep, meth and merh cooking fumes, there are so many opportunities for accidental overdoses. It even happens to celebrities and makes it into national news every so often. Even something as seemingly harmless as benzodiazapines like Valium, Ativan, Xanax, can cause respiration to cease if too high a dose is taken. It particularly happens when a person sleeps deeply and they just stop breathing. Warnings are given with this class of pharmaceuticals.

I'd like to think death by drugs, if that's what happened, was accidental and that, if so, one day whoever has guilty knowledge of that will be greatly relieved by coming forth so they can move on with their lives. I think in cases like that, the worst charges that are brought have to do with treatment of and the moving of dead bodies. Its not a lifetime sentence which they might be in great fear of. An attorney can advise them on that before confessing.

Please, somebody, bring this case to an end and let Jack, Lilly, and their living loved ones rest in peace. ~♡~ 🙏

Aren’t they all being pretty quiet nowadays?

It is my great hope that LE has someone in their sights and just waiting for the last clues to fall into place. It is my belief that the disappearance of these children IS criminal in nature.
IMHO

Agree, but who is the guilty party? That's the million dollar question. Jmo

Get what you are saying, Su5ie. It would only take half of what this family has endured to put me in a mental home and I'm a strong person.

There really isn't anny evidence to suggest this though.

An unidentified investigator’s comment included at the end of a section on the results of both of those polygraphs says, “At this point in the investigation Jack and Lilly’s disappearance is not believed to be criminal in nature.”

“I do not have reasonable grounds to believe a criminal offence has occurred. Because Jack and Lilly are still missing, polygraph examinations were conducted with the intention of ruling out that possibility.”
N.S. missing kids: Court documents provide details on Lilly and Jack Sullivan case | Globalnews.ca.

The RCMP’s major crime division, involved since Day 2 of the search, has since seized electronic devices from the children’s home, conducted polygraph tests, analyzed hours of video footage from the road outside their residence, and searched septic systems and abandoned mineshafts in the area. So far, the children appear to have disappeared without a trace. The division, whose primary role is to investigate foul play and homicides, has repeatedly said there is no evidence the children were abducted.

There isn’t any evidence to suggest this that we know of.

My belief that this case is criminal in nature does not preclude the perpetrator or perpetrators from being someone other than those who were polygraphed.

And if you're buying counterfeit benzos, as a LOT of people are doing nowadays, chances are there's fent in them. I know an absolutely sickening amount of people who have ODed on opioids in the last few years, and a couple of them had children in the house at the time. Terrifying to think about how much worse those tragedies could have been.

RSBM

This is exactly how my roommate died a few years ago. She was 56.

Her benzos were prescribed, but she regularly took more at a time than what the doctor ordered. For some reason, this time, it caused her to die.

I found her lying in bed, looking like she was just peacefully sleeping, except for one thing: she had her inhaler in her hand.
