Well this is interesting after all this time. Any theories I had about this case have definitely narrowed to one now. 😑

Mine are still all over the place. It was quite easy for MBM to quickly leave with only baby M. But if none of her children had went missing, leaving with three under age six certainly complicates the situation. That’s how my old theory of MBM handing off Lilly and Jack originally sprung as it benefited her departure while taking the focus off her.

Now I just don’t know.

My theory regarding this case:

MBM asleep with the baby. Something happened with the other children (accident, neglect, abuse) and DM did something with them before MBM woke up. Once she realized the children were missing, he told her the story of seeing the kids that morning before dozing back off. Maybe he mentioned the sliding door. Maybe MBM believed at first the children really might’ve wondered, but as time passed and she thought critically of her relationship with DM or his parenting of the children, she became suspicious. Maybe she accused him, and his reaction pushed her suspicions further. Or maybe she didn’t say anything, but his behavior after was a red flag to her.

MBM in this scenario would take the baby, knowing what DM is capable of. He has been abusive to her in the past, had possibly harmed her other children, and she was at risk staying with the baby. She left, has been quiet publicly but in contact with police working the angle that DM knows what happened.

Of course this is my total speculation, but I could very much see this playing out, JMO. I really really do not want this to be the case, but my suspicions of DM are only growing with each new development.

I hate when horrible thoughts are at the back of my mind. Could the assaults of been against Lily and they are looking for her blood mixed with his semen on the blanket? Could Jack of seen an assault against Lily that morning and He killed them both?
Could MBM put things together and left.

Interesting theory, I do believe the blanket was removed for a reason.

If you’ve read about this latest development, your theory is not supported by the stated facts included the charges involve an adult and the dates of the alleged incidents are prior the date the children went missing. Further to that, I doubt the RCMP would waste time on DV charges if they had evidence of child molestation and double murder so maybe that will ease your horrible thoughts somewhat :)

The charges are concerning an adult.

One thing is for sure - there is no defending DM any longer.

THAT^^^ has been my main theory as well...I think MBM was in the bedroom with the baby.

DM was up late into the night, likely doing meth/+drinking. ... Something bad happened with the kids--maybe they woke up and went into the kitchen to eat something.

I think it's possible they were asleep in the car when they returned from laundry/errands that day. ...and maybe they were carried into their bedroom and put to bed early...so they woke up in middle of the night hungry, thirsty?

Maybe they happened upon some edible gummy bears, and ate way too many?
  • High Potency: A single gummy often contains multiple times the recommended dose for an adult (5-10 mg or more). For a small child weighing 20-30 lbs, this is an extreme, toxic dose.
  • Appealing Packaging: Edibles are often designed to look, smell, and taste like popular candy or snacks, leading children to eat more than one.
  • Delayed Effects: Edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to take effect, which may cause a child to eat a large amount before they feel sick.
  • Severe Symptoms: Ingestion can cause intense, life-threatening reactions in children, including slowed or stopped breathing (apnea), severe confusion, seizures, decreased blood pressure, and coma
Or maybe they came upon some powdered meth and mimicked what they saw the adults doing---like sniffing or licking it?

There is also a possibility that DM was very frustrated and angry about the bio dad not paying child support anymore---and the kids were acting up, and he began 'punishing them' and things went sideways?

I think he, maybe with help from his brother, wrapped them up and took them on a 3 wheeler, deep into the bush...then the next morning he told MBM that the kids had run off---but that they need to make up an innocent, believable story so they don['t lose the baby to CPS---so she went along with his story that morning but then came to her senses?

Recalling also that Jack had a black eye in both September and December AFAIK. Did these coincide with DV escalating between DM and MBM or did the black eye on jack come first and mbm sticking up for him escalate violence towards her . Did meth or drug use coincide with escalating DV

I think lilly having a black eye the day before she went missing is very poignant too in light of us now being aware of DV in the home .

I also feel cps didn't call to the home because of learning and behavioural issues related to a possible autism diagnosis. Were the children harmed because somebody didn't want them talking to psychologists . They were due to have an appointment for assessment. Wouldn't that include assessment by the above
