How close are the neighbors?
There are only a few houses on this road, they don’t appear to be too close

I can’t confirm this house is theirs but it is the one that looks the most like photos (red here)

I wonder if they own or rent, and in whose name. I guess if they broke up and the trailer is in his name, her hand could be forced. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because I frankly just can't understand leaving the place my kids were last seen. Keep in mind, the kids who went missing are not his children...yet she left with the one child I'm presuming belongs to the two of them together. Make it make sense.

Regarding someone upthread saying she's got a small child and probably isn't getting a lot of sleep and needs family support...I agree to an extent. I can't imagine the stress and exhaustion. But my family would need to come support me where I'm at.
Agree with the last part of this. As a mother I absolutely cannot fathom leaving the place I think my kids got lost.

A 16 month old child should be sleeping through the night, walking, sitting, somewhat feeding themselves.

I guess mom stayed in bed while stepdad jumped in his vehicle to look for the missing children? No one walked in the fields to call them?

"Daniel Martell said he was in his home in Lansdowne Station, N.S., early Friday morning with the children’s mother and their 16-month-old baby when he could hear six-year-old Lily Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan on the move elsewhere in their home.

“As soon as I noticed that I didn’t hear anything, I immediately jumped out of bed,” he said in an interview outside the home. “I searched the bedrooms and looked in the backyard because they go looking for bugs and grass to feed the chickens … and when I noticed they weren’t there, I jumped in my vehicle and surveyed every dirt road and culvert I could find.”

Finally it’s in MSM.
Yesterday she changed her status to in a relationship but not with him.

IMO who gives a crap about any of that if your kids are missing. Unless you know why they are missing.

But also why change it and make it obvious?!?! To point him out and not you? I don’t get it
Wait.... Has she changed her r'ship status to ..
In a relationship with xyz?? rather than "stepfather"??

Just this act of updating her fbk status, at this time, to reflect her bloody love life, SHOUTS at me that there is something VERY VERY amiss here with these kiddies being missing! 😢

There's new information today that is a game-changer for me: The mother has left to be with her family in another part of the province and has blocked the stepfather on social media.
This is extremely suspicious to me.

"Meanwhile, Martell said the two children are outgoing and get along well. They came to live with him two years ago, he said. “They’ll talk to anyone. They’re just looking to have as much fun as they can …. Jack just absolutely loves bugs, dinosaurs and anything like that,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion. “But Lily loves girlie things, but she also loved doing everything with Jack. They’re like best friends, not just brother and sister.” Martell said that since the disappearance, the children’s mother has left to be with her family in another part of the province and has blocked him on social media. “I’m feeling terrible, just like the last few days,” he said. “It’s just me on my own with my family out here …. I don’t know why she left.” Martell said Lily and Jack would not have made it far in the woods on their own. “They would have found them in the woods by now,” he said. “So I’m urging the public to come forward if they have anything to say or to offer .… I don’t think they’d make it far. As soon as they get their clothes or boots wet, they immediately want to take them off and go back inside the house.”
Oh boy!

Agreed. On my end, I meant lack of sleep due to stress plus juggling a toddler while having missing children. I'm not sure I'd be able to sleep or function well. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

You bring up a good point about not stating anyone walked around and searched the area, other than apparently the backyard/chicken area?

I'd like to know more. Do they have dogs? Other animals besides chickens? How much land are they on? I wonder if the boyfriend has children from previous relationships. Refraining from sleuthing him until we get to a point where that's allowed.

So we can assume that she has a vehicle ? He drove around looking for them when the kids went missing, his vehicle?
Or do they just have one, and she took it?
I've temporarily lost children and pets in the past and I have never jumped into a vehicle to find them. They're on foot, so I search on foot.

<modsnip - SM rumors> If one of them <mod note - deactivated FB> before the other, it would no longer show the other person's name and would instead simply say "in a relationship" because the other person would no longer have a profile able to be tagged. I hope that makes sense. It doesn't explain the fact that she seemingly moved out, but may explain the relationship-changing situation as far as social media is concerned.

- Just staying as hopeful as possible. I want them home, I wanna hold them and I want them home.

What happened was - we woke up, I heard them playing in the next room beside us, and I was drifting in and out of sleep, and they're not the type of kids... we tell them not to go outside on their own, we always make sure that we're out there with them, watching them, and they happen to just get out that sliding door, and we can't hear it when it opens, and they were outside playing, but we weren't aware of it at the time, and the next thing we knew the ro... like it was quiet and we get up, and I tell him, my partner, Daniel, I tell him, do you hear the kids? And he says, no and we get up instantly, we're looking outside, we're looking everywhere yelling for them and I instantly just call 911, I just had the instinct I needed to call.

They're both really go lucky children. They're so sweet, they talk to anyone, they'll talk your ear off. They um, they will speak to anyone in a store, everyone. They're just extremely sweet kids.

I appreciate the huge search effort going on right now, but we've been pushing for an Amber Alert, which hasn't been issued, not just that they could possibly be abducted, which it is a possibility, but they could have been, but just an alert to let everyone know that they are missing. We had people text me saying that they weren't aware, someone else let them know that they were missing, and it would just be nice if everyone could be alerted. We thought maybe that we found tracks, but it's still uncertain.

It's been raining and they're probably soaking wet, but with the sun today, I'm hopeful that they are feeling warm. We're all filled with pain and sorrow because we just want them found. We want them home. Everyone loves them. They are definitely verbal, and they do have possible autism, but it's not extreme autism; It's just... they have issues with school and they don't catch up with the other kids.

I'm just, I just want to remain hopeful, but there's always, in a mother's mind, you're always thinking the worst. Last night was one of the worst nights because I didn't have them in their beds and I don't want to go through another night without them.

I always find it interesting how kids who go missing also happen to be home sick from school when they go missing. 🙄
When I first heard they were missing, I expected them to be found before the end of the day. Missing for days suggests something more serious has happened.

Thank you! So the parents did call out for them around the house, and then knew quickly that something was wrong.
