That is an excellent question that as far as I know has not been answered.Who saw the kids last outside of the mom and stepdad and when?

A possible explanation: They have a legitimate reason to believe that someone has abducted these children based on some information that we don't know about yet. And this is the source of the argument between the families (which happened on Saturday) and coincides with the mother leaving the home, requesting an Amber Alert (Saturday afternoon) and the stepfather's request to patrol the border and airports (Sunday morning). It’s puzzling why both the mother and step-father have been suggestive of abduction since almost the beginning.
and true enough, have those footprints been confirmed? I only heard the boyfriend say beside the house facing the road.If it’s a fact there were fresh, clear footprints toward the highway why have hundreds of searchers, plus helicopters, drones and dogs wasted five days now looking in the area around the house?
Perhaps a traffic cam or someone's CCTV indicated no traffic whatsoever around the time the children went missing and that’s why LE are not high on a kidnapping taking place?
It’s puzzling why both the mother and step-father have been suggestive of abduction since almost the beginning. Would they sooner the little ones were found safe, but cold and hungry huddling beside a big old log or taken away somewhere by a perverted maniac?

None of this suggests that the mother or stepfather were involved or have lied; just an observation about the timeline and how quickly they publicly spoke about an abduction. And this aligns with the complete lack of "local evidence" after 5 days of intensive searching: 150+ searchers, multiple K9 units, drones, heat-sensing technology, etc.
Why is this trailer so invisible??
INTERVIEW WITH BOYFRIEND
5TH MAY
BOYFRIEND - Lily and Jack are awesome kids, very kind. They'll, they'll talk to anyone, they want to go with anyone. They're just looking to have as much fun as they can. Jack just absolutely loves? (loved ?) bugs, dinosaurs and anything like that, but Lily.. Lily loved girly things, but she also loved doing everything with Jack, bugs... they're like best friends not just brother and sister.
REPORTER - The step-dad told us they'd both been out sick all week before disappearing on Friday.
INTERVIEW
5TH MAY
BOYFRIEND - Last few days are very stressful, I mean, ever since Friday morning, when we noticed that the kids... children were gone. Immediately jumped in the vehicle, surveyed all the areas, many dirt roads, many culverts as I could and waited for the police to get there.
INTERVIEW
5TH MAY
BOYFRIEND - Well, they took their boots, that's pink boots for Lily, blue boots for Jack, with dinosaurs on them. Lily had her backpack with white... it was white, strawberries on it. I imagine that they're out there in the woods that it'd probably be brown but I don't see them carrying their backpack, I don't see em keeping a pull-up on for that long, after it got soaked from the very first day.
We only found the two boot tracks (at the side or outside?) of the house.
REPORTER - Whereabouts?
BOYFRIEND - Right beside the house, probably 10 ft. away from the backyard.
Nothing new, other than helicopters are still in the air and their dogs, they took the dogs around today and as of last night they had 8 more drones going on, infrared. I heard (inaudible) probably come out as fast... if you have anything, come out as fast as possible and get it to any detachment or any police service they have available to get to talk to.
Shows pic. of Jack on his phone.
in the interview he said beside the house facing the road. But 10 ft from the backyard? I dont know if I understand the location.INTERVIEW

It is not winter in Nova Scotia right now. It is spring. (Bolded by me)If the kids were absent the whole week of school prior to their disappearance, that's a huge red flag. I also heard some past tense verbiage in the stepdad's interviews, which is also disconcerting.
If the kids did wander off on their own, how far could they realistically get from the house that's in frigid forested Nova Scotia? A mile? Two miles? It's been 5 days. They couldn't survive in the wild that long.
I didn't read she was feeding him, her 1st interview said she fell alseep and they both woke up to not hearing the kidsConfused regarding him being accused, thought mum was with him, feeding the 16/18 month child and had seen Lily and heard the children, until they went quiet for 20 minutes.
Thanks must of read it wrongI didn't read she was feeding him, her 1st interview said she fell alseep and they both woke up to not hearing the kids
I did read the BF say Lily came in and out and he told her to be quiet so the baby would sleep. IMO
