I'm curious - what is the purpose of meeting with "business leaders", and what businesses are they? Shouldn't he be meeting with his government to plan next moves, hear ideas, debate solutions?
In any conflict, commons sense dictates that de-escalation is the best option. Is the USA government interested in the best option, or is the government looking at Canada with greedy eyes and scheming to escalate with the dream of owning Canadians?
Stop sending everything to Canada or we're going to bankrupt you or seize your company assets and put you out of business. Because: 'we are the victims' and this is a war [that he forgets he started]) IMO.
Funny Trump beleves that the USofA should be the only nation in the world to have business' producing items. The only one entitled to have a workforce etc.
But, the facts of the matter are, no one says we have to sell our goods to the USofA. They are not 'entitled' to our business sales. Likewise, they are not 'entitled' to Europe's business sales. Business' produce goods and services and they sell them to customers. Full stop. No one has the 'right' to be that business' customer. Indeed the USofA is not 'entitled' to have all the bussiness' in the world relocate to the USofA as he has called for.
The Donald has clearly stated that "if you want to sell in the USofA, then you must produce in the USofA". What he doesn't understand is that business' will not 'cut their own throats'. If all the business' relocated to the USofA, then the consumers in those other areas would have no jobs - because *
workforce* - to procure any of those goods not being made exclusivly in the US.
Why the heck The Donald thinks that business' would willingly cut their throats to serve 400 millon customers in the US at the expense of
Europe's 749 million paying customers,
Canada's 40 million customers, and
AUNZ's combined 33 million customers.
makes zero sense. And that's just those locations.
Together we are strong. Trade with each other instead of the US as apparently, they don't need any of us anyway. United we must stand.
