I agree. I don't think it's "a smirk" at all as was referenced in a media headline. To me, his smiling expression is one of happiness and excitement.Have to say, IMO that easy, relaxed smile suggests someone comfortable with himself and any imminent plans. Understanding that it's not known where or when these video captures were made, I see an individual untroubled by the commitment he has made. Either that, or an individual already disconnected from reality, crazy like a fox. JMO.
It depends. Sometimes there's no benefit to releasing the name of a suspect if you're hot on his tail, as you don't want to tip him off. If they know who he is and where he likely is, they probably won't release his name until he's arrested. If they do need help then we'll see a name.not true they tend to release the name to the public so we could help
Police identify rare WW2 gun as firearm used to kill Brian Thompson, sources say. Investigators believe the firearm used to kill Brian Thompson on Wednesday was a modern version of a rare World War Two gun.
Sources told the New York Post that detectives focusing on a Connecticut gun shop have zeroed in on a purchase of a B&T VP9 gun.
The model is an update on a Welrod pistol developed in the Second World War.
Detectives swooped in on the gun shop on Thursday after their investigation targeted a specific purchase, although it is not known if the person who bought the gun was the suspect in Thompson's slaying.

Hunt for assassin ramps up as FBI mobilizes with new reward issued
Thompson, 50, was gunned down in the early hours of Wednesday as he was on his way to an investor conference at the New York Hilton.www.dailymail.co.uk
Agree. We tend to overestimate how easy it is to hit a moving target (even at close range) and this guy was skilled. And he was firing a single action gun. He also chose a location with zero bystanders in the background.Professional or not, shooting with pedestrians and drivers around and hitting only the target is a darn good shooter to me.
Most of these releases aren’t from law enforcement directly, they’re from sources within law enforcement (leaks). We always see this in big cities, especially in New York. These reporters are very well connected. Is it just me, or are they giving out way too much info?
Possible the shop contacted LE after seeing the video …It seems odd that a purchase in Connecticut stood out without it being something odd.

I'm with Andrew! MOOAs for methods: “Even (the shooter’s) arrival at the site, 5 or 10 minutes before the target gets there, indicates possibly some level of surveillance or intelligence that he was using to know to go to the exact right place at the exact right time,” Andrew McCabe, a former FBI deputy director, told CNN Thursday morning.
Maybe because he gave a false name/id at the hostel? He would be stupid to use his own name.not true they tend to release the name to the public so we could help
Good shooter, but a clown for going to Starbucks for his Frappuccino lolProfessional or not, shooting with pedestrians and drivers around and hitting only the target is a darn good shooter to me.
I see the same. Maybe a trans woman? It's not impossible.<modsnip - off topic> (I see a he.)
This is why:It seems odd that a purchase in Connecticut stood out without it being something odd.
