He knew what he was doing. Didn't risk going to the main NYC bus terminal (Port Authority) when he was catching a bus out of town after the crime. Went to a small bus place (178th St.) instead. Well planned. JMO.
Interesting. Thanks for your insights.

His aim was to get out of the area as quickly and far as possible - Which he did - seen 178th st., the Port Authority. What does he do next? I have no idea. Take a train or bus somewhere obviously. Has he stashed a car somewhere that he can access from the train or bus?
At 178th, the only public transportation options are a bus or subway. There are no trains to take out of town there.

I would’ve made up something more interesting XD
It's possible there was this report you heard, but that it was subsequently and quickly removed because they realized the info was incorrect or premature.
I do not believe your post was a lie.

Is the GW bus station considered small?? I thought it was a pretty good size. And there’s a subway stop in there too, IIRC.

There is so much activity here so this may have already been said but I think the delay, deny, depose is a red herring. Seems like all anyone talks about is.
I agree. A little too on the nose. I think the motive was closer to home. But I could be wrong.

It's not a typical book bag, rather, it's an expensive photographer's bag, with many padded compartments for lenses and heavy camera bodies. The company who makes the bag acknowledged it was one of theirs.

Perhaps he wanted to be perceived as a photographer, whether professional or hobbyist. Easy explanation for scoping out locations.

Well it's small compared to the Port Authority. I know NYC well. Have never heard of 178th St. (GWB) bus terminal before today.

For sure someone recognized him in the unmasked photo

Maybe. But Websleuths seems to be the only place online that is really wanting to see this person caught - which is understandable as we are victim focused. There is a lot of backlash going on out there, as I am sure you have read.

True it’s smaller than the port authority, but still lots of opportunity to disappear (I grew up there too. Spent a lot of time in the City)

It's the GWB bus terminal - perhaps that sounds more familiar.

Hahahah. Except that fake news where I said he had been arrested. Still shook by that one.
Hey it happens sometimes, but you are one of the ones I trust here and I pay attention when you post.

Granted, LE could be keeping info close to the vest and being quiet/strategic (a la Bryan Kohberger’s delayed capture) — but I am not very impressed with the police work we’ve seen so far. Millions of security cameras in Midtown, witnesses, discarded evidence, and they’re just now finding the backpack? No name? Just mind blowing.

My point was that he didn't go to Port Authority, which might be swarming with cops (and cameras) after the murder. He went to a satellite bus terminal. Less likely to be monitored. Well planned, as I said.

Just wondering...why a New Jersey fake ID? Maybe so he could easily answer questions about that area (if someone had a minor inquiry about the ID). I skipped through a bunch of threads, but I remember reading the gun was originally sold in Connecticut? Maybe he's from the NYC area and familiar with the public transportation? Taking Amtrak to DC and hopping on that Greyhound (that originated in ATL) is easy enough. Even with the extra time before the murder, he was really familiar with the subway and very comfortable with the Ebike on Manhattan streets - like maybe he has lived there/spent time there.
From what I can see the Connecticut connection what debunked.

I also think it points to a Jersey connection. Just a hunch.
