I wonder if he will try to travel by small plane? Maybe depends on connections he or, if he was hired, his employer has. I would think commercial airlines would be risky for him, probably Greyhound & Amtrack at this point... Jmo.

Jmo he still has the gun. He had it when he arrived. Why he came by bus. And left by bus.

It's like a chase. He has to get somewhere safe before all this surveillance catches up with him. The police will probably soon figure out what bus he took. Which means if he is still on that bus he's going to be caught. So I would imagine he gets off pretty quickly.
Don’t forget, he got on the bus on Wednesday morning. He’s not on that bus anymore. And anyone can get off wherever they please regardless of final destination. So basically everywhere that bus stopped is a place he could have exited. I realize they’ll talk to the driver and probably narrow it down but with how loosely people are ‘tracked’ on bus rides, it’s possible the driver doesn’t even know when he got off.

I’m interested in his escape path. The 178th Street Bus Terminal is basically just a quiet facility at the Manhattan end of the George Washington Bridge, it isn’t elaborate like the Port Authority (where he arrived) and there are far fewer options (eg, no service to Atlanta.) Generally speaking it’s kind of best for people traveling between NYC and Bergen County NJ. Greyhound operates through there as part of their Philly-Boston service but I don’t see any busses that leave for parts unknown like that early in the morning. There are also some airport shuttles to EWR but none that I see at that time, either. The most common bus through there are NJTransit busses that ride south along the NJ side of the river. Very curious what he was doing up there because at that time of day his options for busses seem limited to local stuff (either MTA back to Manhattan or into the NJ burbs).
Thanks for looking at this. I tried. Got confused. Gave up.

It's weird.

The planning here was incredibly detailed, and I think this guy is going to turn out to be quite intelligent.

But the fact that he carried out this crime, in this place, in this way, is insane. Even if he was perfect, which he absolutely was not, he had no reasonable chance of getting away with this; not with all those cameras.

He did everything in his power to cover his tracks, but slipped up with the mask, that Starbucks stop, and dropping his phone.

I give him credit for how long this has gone on, which is a testament to that extensive planning. But it's only a matter of time before he is captured, and when that happens, they'll have him dead to rights.
If he was hired, the person who hired him probably doesn't care if he's caught now or not. The job is done, mission accomplished.

If he was hired and caught, he might not spill the beans on who hired him because that person could arrange to kill the assassin too. For safety reasons, he might not say a word if caught.

If he doesn't get caught, he's now a valuable assassin for another job, I suppose. He'll have the opportunity to fix the errors he made, perhaps. Only half joking.

I don't think he's a lone wolf but I haven't completely crossed it off my list.

He could have flown out of EWR by Wednesday. His photo was published only yesterday, right?

Looks like they were using AI last year to deny claims, not humans, and a lawsuit was pending:
"One criticism of UnitedHealthcare that has garnered attention following the shooting involves a lawsuit alleging the company uses artificial intelligence (AI) to deny coverage to some elderly patients who are on a Medicare Advantage plan, despite allegedly being aware that the algorithm has a 90 percent error rate."
Yes, so many insurance co’s are using AI. Almost all use some form of it for medication approvals/denials, at least for the first 1-2 rounds of denials.

AI denied medication that supports my breathing and swallowing safely. Numerous times. Took almost 4 months and trips to the ER and being admitted to get a person to listen

He could've simply taken a bus across the GWB to NJ and met someone there in a vehicle.

Maybe Greyhound buses have cameras?

maybe LE is looking on resale sites even now
imagine you find a backpack with a murder weapon in it....

This Thread is moving so quickly do we know what brand or type of backpack it is yet? I assume it's beige, or light gray with dark straps, correct?

Well, if I were a young, white guy, I would not be wearing a face mask, a hoodie or carrying an expensive backpack. I also would not be wearing expensive shoes. I can well imagine that everyone everywhere is on the lookout for this guy.

Maybe, people his age don't watch the news or pay attention to articles about things like this. Hopefully, someone has put his face on TikTok. Isn't that where the younger generation gets its news nowadays?

JMO.

Now it's being reported that "investigators believe the person may have boarded a bus at the port authority bus terminal near Times Square bound for Atlanta, Georgia." so The Port Authority terminal he arrived in to not GW Bridge.

Who knows which "sources" are right at this point.

After biking out of Central Park, the man believed to be the shooter went on foot at Columbus Avenue and West 86th Street and hailed a taxi, which took him north to the George Washington Bridge Bus Station, a Port Authority-operated bus terminal at 178th Street.

He never exited the facility, and he is believed to have taken a bus out of New York City, officials say.

Oh for pete's sake. I know this is to be expected, but still annoying to get mixed-up stories in the news.
