I think his goal from GW Bridge bus station was to get out of the city as quick as possible. From what I can tell, the bus going south, like to Philadelphia and beyond was not until 1:25 pm. The bus going north to Hartford, Boston was at 10:20 am. Out of those two, no way is he waiting for that Philly one. He would go towards Boston. Other choice would be taking a local NJ bus across the river if that's possible just to get out of the city and take something from there.

This is super interesting!! I was just wondering if someone could plot the routes and times from that station now we know what time he went in there. I wonder how many possibilities there are (if local buses are more regular) and just how many hours of CCTV footage at all those exits there will be!

IMO he would’ve wanted to get on any bus going in any direction to buy some distance to regroup and get on the right track. I’d be surprised if this part wasn’t meticulously planned too like the rest seems to be JMO.

NYPD investigators found a backpack in Central Park that they believe belonged to the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a law enforcement official told CNN.

Investigators have yet to officially confirm the origin of the bag and are taking it to be forensically tested in a lab in Queens, the source said.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed to CNN that a backpack was found in the park but said it “still has to be processed.”

If it really was an original for ww2 he could have bought it in pieces. New old stock or private owner parts can be found then put together to make the final product. That can be done with banned weapons also, just buy it in pieces then assemble.

OR he may have simply been pretending to talk to someone, and the phone is deeply encrypted and has nothing on it. Or a manifesto/message on it.

This murder was very well planned from start to finish. It seems pretty detailed to be able to accomplish everything that this guy accomplished in mid-town Manhattan and get away with it.

I don't know what this guy does as his day job, but it seems to me that he spent a significant amount of time planning it. I think that at least one other person (one locally and/or one from BT's hometown or someone who knows BT) is involved. I also think that a significant payout was offered for all of this planning and execution.

Because it has been determined that the assassin was in NYC for 10 days, he must have a job where he works remotely. I just can't see someone who has an office job being able to get away with this. When I was working, there was no way that I could take off 10 days in a row! I was in the computer field back in the COBOL/mainframe days.

I'm holding on to my original prediction that it will be his backpack that brings him down. Hoping it's his and he's finally identified!

It doesn't even take for him to have a social media presence - you'd think a former teacher would recognize him, neighbor, co-worker, fellow gym-goers, clerk at the grocery store, someone he met at a nightclub, employer, mom's friend, etc. But, as far as we know....nothing.

If he's local, I think it's NJ and I think he's a newcomer to USA...and I think he's out of the country by now or possibly hiding out in someone's basement in Newark.

Boston....where we shut the entire city down while we hunt criminals. Seems like a bad choice. Those marathon bombing days were crazy!

It was the updated version. Can still be bought in pieces, but seems less likely. This guy had a ton of money. He possibly shipped it in pieces to avoid detection and collected them here in the US, avoiding detection…

IMO I would be shocked if he waited for the bus to Philly or Boston, he was probably at the bus station by 8am at the latest — I just don’t see him loitering in the bus station (which IIRC has a police station/booth inside it) for 2+ hours. MOO but I think he got on a bus to NJ and then started navigating to wherever he is now.
