Privileged or independently wealthy in real life? Living in a secluded upper middle class property. Put a thousand into Bitcoin in 2012, doesn't foresee need to re-integrate with economy anytime soon?
Someone above suspicion, yes, and largely isolated. But I still have my doubts – would no one know him or suspect him if we’re talking about a young American man? It seems hard to fathom. But these latest pictures are much clearer so if they show an undisguised person, there’s a better chance now of people making those calls.

My feeling is still that he was on a plane and gone within hours or plans to end his own life. Too confident about leaving evidence that would later emerge. Only cared about getting out without being arrested on the day. And making a huge splash and statement. He is smart enough to have met both those targets.

I missed that about him exiting the park twice. Do you have a link? TIA.
I think I confused the exiting and where he was spotted walking. So many posts, and I whizzed right through that timeline. Apologies! I will delete the incorrect bit.

So did the shooter wear the same clothes for all 10 days he was in NYC? Or did he bring other clothing in the backpack when he arrived and then ditch them or give them to other people or just leave them in his hostel room? He ditched the backpack and that's the only luggage we know he was carrying, correct? I'm sure LE can see what type of luggage he had with him on the hostel cameras from when he checked in - if he had anything else with him. But I'm imagining he didn't bring a rolling suitcase or anything that would be a hassle to deal with.

Still he was there for ten days, ostensibly only with the backpack that was ditched and when it was found, it only had one jacket and monopoly money. Where did all his other stuff end up, I am wondering - clothing, underwear, toiletry items like a toothbrush etc? Or did he literally travel to NYC with just the clothes on his back and a pack full of monopoly money?
And the CASH he must’ve used to pay for everything. Where was that the whole time? On his person?

To me he looks male. Also, isn’t that an Adam’s apple in this still?

The CEO of the backpack company stated several days ago that the backpack seen in early photos on the shooter was an earlier version (v1) that was sold between 2016 and 2019. Not the v2 available for sale today.

Prior to re-reading this morning, I thought that as well. See Bold below:

As the NYPD found a gray backpack that might belong to the killer who brazenly killed UniversalHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and fled, Peak Design's CEO Paul Dering said it could be an old version of their Everyday Backpack which was on the market from 2016 and 2019.

The bike can be taken apart. Pieces of it could be anywhere. The Monopoly money is punking like you put it IMO.

Wild theory: the backpack was left by BT or someone else the shooter was blackmailing/ransoming something, but they left the monopoly money instead of real cash, so the shooter retaliated.

Told ya it was wild. :)

As always, JMO.

He's so thorough. I wouldn't be surprised if he also had an apartment, and staged the whole "visiting murderer" theatrics.

What about a non-US group intending to create outrage, scare people, divide society and dominate the news? The wider goal would be to create unease and discontent within the US.
I don't know about non-US groups, but my non-US friends and relatives look at us common (read non-loaded) people mired in the US healthcare system with pity.

Like a crazy NYC scavenger hunt, with footage, fingerprints, DNA and red herrings.

Nah. We have no problem doing this ourselves without outside intervention! Race wars come to mind.

Internet well-known sleuths refuse to help find the killer - not because they believe someone should be killed - but as a protest against current insurance policies.

TizzyEnt explained the widespread reluctance to help, telling his followers: "I don't think it's that difficult to figure out why. There isn't a single person in this country who hasn't themselves or had someone very near and dear to them suffer from the abysmal thing that is privatised healthcare."

Sure, it's plastered all over. ..gets to town, stays in hostel when he apparently had $$, photobombs cameras, kills the victim on camera, leaves big city with all the clues. Doesn't live here! Does he.

There are so many things I’d love to know from his hostel roommates, the hostel staff and hostel surveillance:

Did he have an accent? What clothing do they remember seeing him in? For the first four days he was there the timeline is unaccounted for - do they remember him being gone all day, or did he mostly stay put? Was he using the phone a lot? How was his behavior? What name did he use at check in?

Would have to imagine they are trying to track down sales of that type of gun across the region. Can't even begin to understand how much work all that involves.

I wonder what, if any, "chatter" has been overheard by the spooky wallahs who monitor loony/fringe groups. Did this really come completely out of the blue or was there "chatter" about something being planned even if the details were completely vague?
This has been on my mind. Also people in the shooters age range (my guess is mid 20s to mid 30s) grew up with the internet and spend a lot of time online. I have to wonder if the shooter had an online presence on Discord or 4chan. If I understand correctly, users on 4chan post anonymously.

My first thought when I heard this earlier last week was that he picked up the backpack second hand (at a thrift store, for example) intentionally because he liked the design (big enough to hold what he needs), but that it would already have lots of other DNA on it since it’s used.

Of course it is a man! Why is this even in dispute?!
Thank you! I feel like I'm going mad every time I open this thread and see someone say it's a woman. This is clearly a man, I don't know how anyone ever thought otherwise.

When you find out i would love to know as well.

Haha! Well, I'm trusting LE and since they haven't said they think the perp could potentially be a woman in men's clothing, then I'll stick with it being a man. The dna they supposedly have on this individual should clear that up. Or does that even matter in this day and age? Lipstick on a pig, and all.
