Going into the mind of the killer - I wonder if the way he is feeling now aligns with how he imagined he would feel before doing this. He likely envisioned what it would be like, but people are often not good at predicting how they will feel in future scenarios (ie, affective forecasting).

If this was his first murder, his response will likely be extremely different than he imagined. FBI profilers talk about how first-time murderers are unprepared for how they actually feel after committing something they may have planned for and/or fantasized about.
Yeah, even serial killers typically undergo changes after a murder. Stress is high, because he'd likely be worried about being caught. We always hear to watch out for a change in appearance, intense interest in news coverage, mood changes, behavioral changes, substance abuse, etc.

I can't imagine it's going as planned, especially with his image being released, and all this talk about DNA.

Do you have a link to the Supreme Court hearing info? tia
www. scotusblog.com. dec 4. But I don't see any connection, the case is about a law in Tennessee and is being challenged narrowly on sex discrimination.

I'm curious as to everyone's opinion (may have already been discussed and I missed it) but to me that Starbucks person looks nothing like this other person unless there is some severe cosmetic tinkering in play.

Could be wrong.
I think it again just comes down to different cameras and angles. The Starbucks and hostel ones are taken from a downward angle and the camera quality is kind of grainy. The cab is clearer and taken eye level so I’m not surprised he looks different

I’m not sure. I just saw them first here by soapmama who posted onto thread. I believe she said they were just released on the news.
I got them from Brian Entin on X

Moo.

Is it just me or is he looking directly into the camera? Could be accident. But I mean it really looks like he is glaring into that cab cam. Not to mention he switched to a healthcare / someone sick or susceptible to illness type mask here. (Which could further point to healthcare anger and motive)

Again… I’m probably reaching here…. Big time.. fully admitting that I’m likely wrong. Anyone else feel like he’s looking directly into the camera? On purpose?

With all the other messages he left behind… (engraved bullets and Monopoly money in backpack) it is hard to look at his cab escape photo and not look for another message he could be attempting to send in one of the last captured photos of his escape.

On the other hand … more logically it’s just the most common type of mask for people in NYC to wear this time of year. So throwing it on opposed to the other face mask was just the most logical option during escape to change appearance enough to get out but still wearing a mask no one would question or ask him to remove.
I think when you have dark eyes and prominent eyebrows it's just really easy to look like you're glaring. Speaking as someone with both. I get accused of glaring/looking angry/upset/rude/take your pick all the time, especially back when I worked in food service. To be honest I think the extensive analysis of his eyes and eyebrows is a waste of time. It's the same thing every time there's a picture of a murderer- "oh you can see the evil in his eyes, look how he's sneering at the camera, there's no soul in there" etc etc etc.

eta not directed at you specifically EB, just all the talk over his face and facial expressions in general

If he's far away in a different environment, he will compartmentalize and detach. If he's close by, not so much.

I've been lurking all day, but needed to join in once these new pics came out. I assume the photo in the cab was taken from the dashcam but WHERE IS THE DRIVER???

crazy how far he went in such strange/puzzling/dramatic ways to emphasize his point.

As if the murder itself wasn’t enough of a statement for him.

Going to all the added effort of the bullets and now this Monopoly money left in the backpack to get another message across… just wow… this is just mind boggling to me.
I think the gun choice is also symbolic. Isn't this type of weapon used by veterinarians to euthanize animals?

Same, I'm like...why does he look like me?

In the very recently released photo of the perp outside the cab:
1. The lower half of his face looks really long to me.
2. Is there a bit of a beard possibly showing along where part of the lower piece of elastic is? (I am viewing on my phone so I am looking at a pretty small version of the photo. )

you can see a bit of his arm on the right, wearing dark clothing, so blends with the seat a bit.

Sensitive subject….
I know some have shared their thoughts that this could be a woman.
Any chance this person is transgender?
The reason I’m asking is I’m pretty sure the Supreme Court was hearing arguments on transgender care on that Wednesday, while UHC was discussing profits and investments.
Did anyone hear/read about any cases/grievances regarding UHC denying care for transgender community?
If this person was taking hormones for any significant period of time, they wouldn't have the 5 o'clock shadow present in the unmasked hostel pics. So if this person identifies as trans, they're likely pre-transition. I think that's unlikely, though it cannot be completely ruled out.

You can see what looks like part of his right arm. There’s some blurring going on, so I think it’s possible he was edited out. They’ve also blurred out identifying features of the cab (a sticker or sign).

Left picture, lower chin part looks a touch puffed & bulky....short beard?

Thanks. I thought it sounded like a social media thing, riling people up about something unrelated.

I don't think he gives a rip, tbh, and I think he expected his image being released.

The driver is likely having a few stiff ones and counting his lucky stars.
