I think he has lived in a large USA city for a long time. I can't imagine someone hesitantly on a bike in that traffic. Has the confidence of living here. I've kind of changed my opinion. Everything he did, so far, was so successful and confidently pulled off, he probably left the country, imo, had everything waiting for exit. Otherwise his choice was suicide by cop, because why would he go to prison for life.

I've been to NY probably half a dozen times. Each time I find it intimidating. When I'm with friends they are buzzing all over the place, and here I am still trying to run cross the street to catch a bus, let alone the subway. Lol!! NY is really a mind set. So, yes, he was not intimidated by his surroundings. He zipped, zigged, zagged, ran, and knew exactly what and where is was going.

I think it's interesting that in every article in msm they discuss the water bottle and the smudged print. When in fact there are power bar wrappers, cell phone, backpack, mono money, a jacket....etc... all of which they can retrieve fingerprints off of. LE is holding alot close to the vest.

So, What are three possibilities of what could have “happened next”?

a) He went to a bathroom, changed his appearance AGAIN, and walked back down into the subways to travel away on the A Train?

b) He went to a bathroom, changed his appearance AGAIN, and walked to the ground level, or the upper level, and got into a waiting car, and was driven somewhere?

c) He went to a bathroom, changed his appearance AGAIN, (making him look more radically different than before; maybe even unrecognizable, as a young man) and left on one of the buses?

Any other ideas? What do people think happened?

He is probably an American. UHC is an American company which operates only in the US, and has no impact outside the US. It is of little interest to people outside the US.

He may have ancestors from the Middle East, but right now nothing points to him coming from anywhere else.

I think I have expressed my greatest fear / concern.... would be that it is just some international terrorist "messing with America". I'm not "there yet"... but is my biggest fear.
Plenty of pundits have been focussing how enemies can / could/ will mess with our financial infrastructures to cause harm...banks, insurance, medical, telecom....

As I say..."not there yet"... but I DO NOT think he is American....
And I am totally baffled as to why we are hearing NOTHING about an accent or not.....

Tommy Hilfiger is not considered expensive. In fact, the jacket seems like an odd choice for someone younger with a costly REI jacket and trendy backpack. It was clearly bought as a throwaway imo.

My guess is that he is American, whether US-born or first or second generation immigrant, and that if he is aligned to a group it's more likely to be of the left than the right on the basis that his apparent colouring is not what one might expect of a patriot/militia/white supremicist supporter. And that he may well have disappeared temporarily into a safe house somewhere belonging to any group or network whose support he may have.

I wonder what, if any, "chatter" has been overheard by the spooky wallahs who monitor loony/fringe groups. Did this really come completely out of the blue or was there "chatter" about something being planned even if the details were completely vague?

The taxi photo was taken after the backpack was dropped in the park. So, the puffer he’s wearing in the cab can’t be the jacket in the bag (although it could also be Tommy Hilfiger).

I read somewhere yesterday (can’t find it now) that the jacket in the bag was one seen in published surveillance images of the suspect. And this was before the taxi image was published, making me wonder if it’s the green/khaki field jacket from the hostel images. I’ve seen some online that are similar - but not identical - to the hostel jacket.

What I find very interesting is per CNN timeline, he arrives at PA in NY at 10Pm on a Sunday night. He must have been tired. Instead of going straight to the Hostel, he takes a cab to the crime scene, which is at most a 10 minute cab ride from PA, (it's actually easily walkable, also about 10-12 minute walk) and stays in the vicinity of the crime scene for a half hour. When he then hails another cab, and goes to the Hostel. Sunday nights are VERY quiet in that area of midtown. Was he meeting an accomplice? Collection his down payment? Scoping the crime scene in the dark to avoid cameras? Is he working with an accomplice that works in the Hilton? Did he have luggage or a backpack? That stop was for a reason. What was it?

Probably scoping it out. Google maps says the Hilton (54th St./6th Ave) is a 20 minute walk and close to a mile (.9mi to be exact) from the Port Authority (42nd St./8th Ave). The Hilton is in the same direction as the further north hostel (103rd St). Makes sense to make a short stop and scope out the Hilton and then continue north to the hostel. JMO.

Either he/she/they went to huge lengths to detract LE from themselves, the true killer, or, a patsy is in the making, or, we have a run of the mill, not so smart, killer here.

I haven’t read all the ensuing replies, but this guy seems to be a very curious mix of precise and cavalier. It was a very well planned and carried out, but he’s casual about his identity.

That leads me to conclude that he planned to be out of the country ASAP, never to return, or he plans on going out on his own terms - guns blazing, or at his own hand.

I think that if he took a bus over the GWB, he didn’t take it too far. He wouldn’t want to be stuck on a bus if a BOLO was issued with his description.

And we have been told that he went directly to the HIlton as soon as he arrived in NYC. Knew exactly what he was doing.

How important is DNA in finding him? unless he has any prior criminal convictions/arrests no match will show up on the DNA database. The fact he was so casual with regards to DNA means he knows he can’t be traced by DNA as no past arrests

Bryan Kohberger didn't have a criminal past, either, and yet they discover his identity through genetic mapping. If they have your DNA, they have everything they need these days to find out your identity...eventually. Sure, it's easier for them if you've already commited a crime and are in their database; they just do a DNA match. It's only a matter of time before they find out who this perp is. Now all they have to do is catch him. Good luck with that!

Or simply seeing his own patients treated badly by insurance. This applies even to physicians completing residencies. (He looks young.) But my point applies to other people you wouldn’t suspect – not just doctors. Could be someone unknown to Americans (I’m sounding like a broken record on this point) or an American no one would think of associating with the crime and calling in about. They might say ‘wow, that looks just like the doctor I met with yesterday’ and laugh about it.

I know there are other explanations. Just felt that this should be considered.
