CNN just said person being questioned is age 26.

Nice... throw away your life at such a young age.
Oh to be 26 again--- but most likely all of us here who are older than that, would be making supremely wiser choices !!!!
Omo.

This sure sounds like the right guy.

I think he was on his way to his next victim, and that's why he still had the very distinctive gun. If it was a ghost gun, it wasn't in the system and he knew that.

For crying out loud, if he couldn't part with his expensive weapon, then bury it somewhere and return to retrieve it 6 months from now. Big mistake...Huge !
Somewhat unbelievable. With all of that careful planning and he keeps the gun?

Not if he wants to go down in the history books in a certain way. Which I think is what this person wants. He's fairly young and probably sees himself as a folk hero, at this point. A kind of Billy the Kid. Such persons have existed throughout most of recent history and many do see themselves as primitive rebels or even as leaders of larger movements.

The reasons for keeping the gun and the fake ID are probably psychologically complex, for him.

Being on a bus at this point was not smart. JMO.
Agreed.

Cameras on buses --- and why let other people see you ?
Obviously he thought the face mask unnecessary in McDonalds' ?

True, Clearskies,
But he was running out of options.
He was running out of money.
He was very tired too.

Thank you Observant Citizens of PA, Thank you NYPD for all your hardwork!

He is likely attached to his self made art. (Put together with parts as reported a few posts above.)

That would explain that unbelievable decision of keeping the gun. Perhaps he still needed it. JMO

only one i can think of that basically was is Israel Keyes. He put in the hard work to actually be smarter

IK put a lot of thought and planning into his SK travels (hiding kill bags across the country, etc.) but he was caught just like most SK are. Too bad he killed himself while in custody before he could finish confessing to his crimes.

Whoever murdered BT made some super dumb moves and I think he (they) was trying to make a public statement. It will be interesting to find out the facts.

So the manifesto was to be released....when? When caught? Hand-delivered somewhere? What was he waiting for?

jmo
this is what i found odd too, in terms of the theory that this was a revenge/anger at insurance killing. but possibly he had more planned before releasing it... (scary)

He really should've had more than one fake ID and threw them away regularly. Come on.

I praised his planning, but I'm taking it all back.

jmo
I think he’s going to be like your standard assassin. Some creepy loner weirdo who people who know him would describe as “odd.”

We’re not talking about some well adjusted guy with a wide circle of friends.

I initially thought he was an outlier in that regard because of how well planned this was. The alleged manifesto means he’s just like the rest, only a better planner.

Honestly he should have just ditched his uniform of hoodie and mask. I bet that is what tipped the tipper off.

MOO: I believe this is completely correct
If he is never captured, his motive is never fully clarified. His goal isn’t realized.
I’ve been saying Robin Hood rather than Billy the Kid (with a band of merry men in hoodies all throughout NYC last Saturday) but yea, I completely agree with this. ^^

imagine you're on WS like "you guys, where could he be, where IS he?" and he's actually just feet from you lol

Hilarious. Once I was on vacation in Peru and Joran Van der Sloot went thru town on a bus, just blocks from me. We had been posting online about his running south from lima and his murder.

Was he taken into custody at McDonalds or on the bus? Reading conflicting info. Curious about his destination if he was on the bus.

I see nothing about a bus, a patron at micky d’s recognized him.
