The medical condition the article says he has, spondylolisthesis, is linked to urinary incontinence.

Has the reddit account being quoted in the article been approved / discussed yet? I'm still catching up in thread #7, and didn't want to mention things in it if hasn't been yet.
Only if there is ‘cauda equina syndrome’. That is an emergency and very unusual. This is likely from fear.

You may be right. I would add that it need not simply be a mental issue, it could be an emotional one - increasing and severe disappointment that adult life is not all it was promised to be. Perhaps his job is mundane and he has to do meaningless tasks and sometimes answer to someone dumber or less sophisticated than he believed himself to be. His "gifts" seem unacknowledged and unrecognized. His body suffers injuries that he doesn't bounce back from, even after surgery. He doesn't get the girls he believes himself worthy of. His friends seem to be marrying off, starting families, and buying first homes and he doesn't even have a girlfriend.

If, before he launched into life, he was protected from disappointments - lessons that life presents challenges that one has to work and develop imagination to overcome and they often pick us rather than us picking them, sometimes life isn't fair, he isn't the "genius-prince the world is waiting for" but is instead just one more human being trying to make a go of it, there will always be greater and lesser persons than himself, failure is a teacher - and the resilience and perspective that one develops from encountering these disappointments and their lessons in humility throughout childhood and early adulthood, then when faced with such in rapid succession, each feels enormous and soul crushing. And combined, they feel like a massive betrayal.

Not offering excuses. He chose evil. And that is no one's fault but his own.

Very good post. Quite compelling and as likely as any of the mental illness hypotheses. JMO.

A reporter/photog can be heard afterward saying “Motherf——-r is angry, isn’t he?”

Anyone have a good livestream for the hearing today? Thanks

Have charging docs or AA’s been released yet? Any pdfs?

Reality is sinking in, based on his arrival to the courthouse after a night in police custody. MOO

And very, very angry.
Maybe he’s angry and arrogant enough to plead guilty, i.e., “Hell yes I did it! Someone had to!”

  • #428
Was the shouting referring to his arrest or to the Healthcare industry?

I imagine his lawyers won’t be thrilled about outbursts like this? He’s not playing innocent anymore.

"It’s extremely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and the lived experience."

This embittered young man, who had everything going for him self-radicalized by seeking a cause so that he could become a ‘folk-hero’. He set out to become the Unabomber. He picked healthcare. I am pretty sure the hallucinogenics he self-medicated his mental health problems with probably made them worse. He’s a textbook incel - with a self-found ‘mission’. Truly tragic.
I highly doubt that he had any trouble picking up women, to be honest. He's the absolute opposite of an incel, from what I can tell. He even had the desk girl at the hostel flirting with him. Incels don't get that.

I expected him to be meek and downcast, as he appeared in the McDonalds. I guess he got enough sleep to switch back to his rage and self grandiosity.

Sounds like he said:
"This is extremely unjust, and an insult to the intelligence of the American people."

Only an opinion

His lawyers have their work cut out for them it seems

I think he's acting out the rage/anger he feels towards himself, losing control of the outcome.

And there he is.. the real Luigi..

I'm glad he was caught when he was, because THIS doesn't look like the face of a man that was finished.

He just yelled something, I missed some of it but caught this "....an insult to the American people...experience..."

ETA - I believe he said “This is extremely unjust. This is an insult to the intelligence of the American people!”
Now I want to know what he is considering "unjust", is it his arrest for assassinating Brian Thompson? What an ego.
starts at 39:40 in

Thanks for the link !
I missed what he said at the very end.
Luigi just showed what he is to everyone.
That loud bang right before the cops take him inside-- did LM kick that open door ?

Imo, he is capable of standing trial, no matter how he tries (if he does) for an insanity defense.
At the end of the day, he's no hero and shame on anyone out there who think he is some sort of modern day RH.
If convicted, he'll most likely spend his days in a small prison cell as inmate # ___.
There will be plenty of time to review his life choices and the terrible mistakes he made.
Omo.

I'm thinking this isn't arrogance and that he's had some type of psychological deterioration. Who knows?
I hope they lock him up and throw away the key, but it always makes me sad to see young people with promise completely lose their way.

I’m wondering if that’s why he was still holding on to a weapon . . .
