So true. It is not that we are "true" ambidextrous, but we do switch it up a lot.

I think I said men's rights and I want to qualify that a bit. The casual right wing anti-woke status on women is anti-feminist, the two genders are not equal, women need to be soft so men can be powerful. It's not overtly anti-woman, it's more of 'there are places for both genders and they're not the same'. He retweeted a post where some woman was praising how men are powerful warriors and women need to support them in that (paraphrased). Men are powerful and women don't need to seek power, they are there to support men and receive from men.

IANAL, but I have been following true crime for a while now, and I have observed that many attorneys advise their clients to plead not guilty, perhaps because it allows for plea deals. Maybe other reasons, too?

I was born leftie. It was common practice when I entered kindergarten for school teachers to insist their students learn to write right. So I was forced to write with my right. I did so poorly, my penmanship was awful but it got the job done. Then in 2nd grade, I broke my right wrist and had to write with my left for several months. That was difficult and also not pretty because I had had the lefty "forced" out of me. Today I can write better (but not pretty) with my right, I can eat with either and throw catch with either.

Was I treated cruelly? nope, was I forced to do something I wasn't happy about? yep. Am I complaining about it? nope. It simply wasn't that big a deal.

Yes, you do have a good point.
The article was slanted in an unfairly negative way and you're correct, there wasn't 'cruelty' described in Luigi's own words.
Only a mention of them wanting him to follow societal norms, which imo is understandable.
My opinion is that I should have read the article more carefully before posting it, so apologies & thanks for the clarification.

As a caveat; I do think sometimes in the DailyMail -- which some consider a tabloid -- there are occasional worthwhile articles but one has to sift carefully.

They did. So they found 6 at the scene (3 spent/3 unspent), and a total of 7 more on him.

That magazine with the photo of the gun looked like a 15 round one to me. That means that he either started out with 13 rounds, or 2-3 are missing.

The fact that one round was a hollow point and the rest were not, tells me that he most likely didn't purchase this ammo; he probably got it from someone.

The pistol had a metal slide and a plastic handle with a metal-threaded barrel, according to the charging document. It's always not guilty at this stage. There's tons of time to work out a plea deal down the road, and there's just no benefit to doing that.

Because every single defendant enters a not guilty plea at the start of criminal proceedings. I cannot imagine a judge would even allow a guilty plea at this extremely early stage.

Obviously, I don't know how old you are, or where you were educated on the early years. But I'm up there, starting school on the mid 50s, but I didn't experience any of the "forcing " that others are stating. I was always pretty ambi, but writing was always lefty. no one ever tried to change me.

My point is that saying “haven’t seen any evidence” while simultaneously saying “definitely not guilty” is disingenuous. Better to just say “haven’t yet reviewed evidence” and plead NG at a later time. If you’re going to go for NG, at least have the presence of mind to twist the facts around after reviewing evidence - pretend you actually have a case. That’s one reason I don’t have much regard for defense attorneys - wanting to get the “win” at any cost regardless of the truth of the matter.

He didn’t enter a plea. It’s not time to do so yet. That’s why it’s so stupid to say that at this point in time. He just said it will be NG, without having any evidence. Guess he’s not interested in building any credibility.

Even if so, he's sane, knows right from wrong, and to me it does not matter if he was taking them or not.

He said it will be not guilty because it will be not guilty. Again, that is always what happens in the very early stages, so it’s not stupid to say. LM can always change his plea to guilty at a later date. There’s no option to forego entering a plea until you decide for sure.

I’m wondering about this. It’s interesting the example Luigi gave was about steak, specifically. Steak often also involves using a knife to cut a slice, then eating the slice with a fork.

I read that the European way of eating steak is different from the American way.
In the European way, you keep the fork in the same hand throughout the meal, whereas the American method involves switching the hand that holds the fork after cutting.

Is his mother originally from Europe, perchance? Maybe she wasn’t being cruel, but was trying to teach him the different manner of eating it in the US vs Europe.
