He had babies and children of all ages ripped from their parents arms here, so many never to be found again and reunited. SICK monster is why. Period.
It's genocide basically - ethnic cleansing. Try to wipe out all Ukrainians, steal their children and brainwash and indoctrinate them against their parents.

Do you really think Trump should still do the negotiations? I’m not so sure about that after all that has transpired. I do believe he’s the only one capable because it takes a strong personality. imo. Is there a European leader on good terms, that would be capable of getting Putin to stop the war permanently? I doubt it. I don’t know if anyone can and now you have an endless war that isn’t sustainable for much longer. There aren’t enough bodies. Now what? You do the best you can. imo
I think he is too biased. See my post on the previous page. He admires Putin and he hates Valensky. JMO MOO

This is from 2021. Russia did not invade Ukraine until 2022. I don't think this is even relevant.
The chart you posted in the article is 2025.

Moo
Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 just after the Sochi Olympics (The Crimean Region of Ukraine).
Source: Russia invades Ukraine
Alternate Source

Russia and Ukraine then signed a ceasefire in 2019.
Source: Ceasefire Agreement Reached

Russia then invaded further into Ukrainian territory (The Donbass Region of Ukraine) in 2022 by breaching the above ceasefire agreement. No wonder they don't trust them for "peace" with no security guarantees!

NATO nations have been over there for years now (since 2015 for we Canadians) training Ukrainians and providing kit & equipment. This is not 'new' in 2025.

That's exactly what he was doing and is still. Scorched earth and genocide. Just wants the land.

Because it was obvious he was going to sign it before the side show started. It was not about not receiving military support from the US. The problem is its obvious the only thing that matters to Trump is the mineral...not Ukraine. Incidentally it was obvious last Ukraine was not over happy about lack of security all last week but Trump makes out it isnt important. Well yes it is.

Exactly - they could not work out where it had gone.
Respectfully have you watched the full video? I watched live and rewatch at least three times. Once to see when and if he said thank you. And didn't until JD Vance told him he hadn't said thank you, that's lead into Zelensky blowing up.

Trump welcomes Zelensky, how we will be economy partners to provide income for Ukraine to rebuild . Then Zelensky says.Thank you for the invitation. Then he starts making 8 demands. No, it's good to be here, thanks for support, no just starts with demands.

He made clear before he came no security only the economic agreement. He doesn't need to. The private company's that purchase leases will provide their own security.

The meeting was NOT about a peace deal but Zelensky kept bringing it up and demanding security. Trump kept telling him. We need a peace deal before security is decided.

Respectfully, if he didn't like the agreement then don't come to the US under false pretense. Just say no an move on. Don't try to bully the US on national TV. It backfired.

Now he's trying I back Europe into military support. Do you want your troops in Ukraine?

The media is only showed a few mins of a very long press conference.

The gravy train is over. There will be no U.S. troops on the ground in Ukraine, under T. If the Euro's wish to throw their boys to the gauntlet, so be it. Thus far Z has messed up real bad. He's followed the path and advice of the leftists in the U.S. who have for years wished to destroy T, who will stop at nothing, including the continuation of the slaughter in U, to destroy T, who want nothing more than to see T's peace initiative fail. The left playing politics with the lives of men. It is amazing to me, those factions who scream for more war, those folks who currently are literally totally supportive of throwing those boys to the grinder. What a bloody mess. War is he ll. I guess being removed from it makes it some how ok.
Why are you making it all about Trump?
This fight is about Ukraine and the survival of democracy.
It's actually the right who have supported industrialized weapons. The right didn't care about lives lost until it is now an excuse to support Putin.

A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin praised U.S. foreign policy under President Donald Trump, saying it "largely coincides" with Russia's vision in a reversal he said was previously "impossible to imagine."

The comments from Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov come as Trump has upended the U.S. approach to Russia's war in Ukraine by holding peace negotiations with Russia, without representation from Ukraine or its European allies. ...

"The new (U.S.) administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations," Peskov said in an interview aired Sunday on Russian state media. "This largely coincides with our vision."

The basic scenario is to maintain positions and create conditions for proper diplomacy to achieve the swiftest possible end to this war with a just peace. We need peace, true and honest peace – not endless war. And security guarantees are essential.

The absence of security guarantees for Ukraine 11 years ago allowed Russia to start with the occupation of Crimea and the war in Donbas. Later, the absence of security guarantees allows Russia to launch a full-scale invasion, and now, due to the lack of clear security guarantees, Russia continues to fuel this war. The world sees this, and the world acknowledges it.

Today, we continued our work with European partners on a special diplomatic and security architecture that can bring us closer to peace.

Of course it does
Anyone can see that Trump is compromised. And his accolytes are bending a knee. They aren't fighting for democracy. They are fighting for Putin. JMO.

Trump administration weighs sanctions relief for Russia, Reuters reports.

The White House has directed the State and Treasury departments to compile a list of sanctions that could be lifted, according to sources.

While internal government offices routinely prepare such options, the White House’s direct request signals a serious consideration of sanctions relief.

Putin shows that he will invade and invade again.
Yet Trump is now supporting him. Why is that?

Exactly.

700 000 Ukrainian children have been kidnapped and taken into Russia by the Russian invaders in this conflict.

700 000!!! Unreal. Where are the world's screams for them? SMH.

<modsnip> So I'm surprised that some people are standing with the abuser (Russia). Imagine saying the victim should just give in. And let the abuser continue with that abuse....and, when rewarded for their terrible behavior, continue on to inevitable future abuses.

Great point. Odd. A two sided situation affecting the world so open to all I would think though.

  1. Contact your representatives - In the U.S., the American Coalition for Ukraine has a tool to find your members of Congress and recommended messaging for what to ask your government representatives.
  2. Avoid companies operating in Russia -The Kyiv School of Economics has made a list of corporations that continue to do business in Russia. The mobile version of the website even has a barcode scanner, so you can easily find the details about a product’s parent company.
  3. Donate to Ukrainian organizations -Some well-known charities involved in supporting those on the front line are Come Back Alive, the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, and the Hospitallers.
  4. Protest in support of Ukraine - The Ukrainian World Congress compiled a map showing the organizers of events on Feb. 24 to commemorate the start of the full-scale invasion. You can discover organizations near you and see if they are planning future events.
  5. Engage with Ukrainian media, culture, and art - Part of Russia’s goal in the war is to destroy Ukrainian culture. Here’s a list (compiled by one of our members) showing creative ways to help Ukraine, highlighting organizations, projects, and artists, from podcasts about the war to resources for learning Ukrainian.

I was addressing the choice of years the poster chose., not the length of war. The current invasion started in 2022. There was no war during Trump's previous term. Zelensky admitted this during the press conference.

I'm very verse in Ukraine past history. Lots of time reading including all the agreements.

In all those years the US has never agreed to send troops nor any other nation.

Just because Zelensky ask Trump for military support doesn't mean we are obligated. He thought he could use minerals as leverage. It didn't work. The minerals are not worth sending in troops. The deal is no longer of interest with those conditions. He presented the same deal to France in October prior to meeting Trump in Florida in Nov even before he was sworn in. He received a hard NO from France.

Let's see what the Europeans plan. They have stepped up with a very nice donation of missiles.

The US signed a economic investment deal with Taiwan today. They have rare Earth minerals. We've moved on, he should too.
Moo...

Man it kind of seems that neither of these guys understand how this whole "sovereign nation" thing works, does it? Calling Prime Ministers Governors, claiming a Head of State has no place in negotiating for their country. How very undimplomatic. This is Grade 2 level geography and social studies (at least here in Canada it is) - civics if you will.

The cards Zelensky holds are that he’s the leader of a party to the conflict. And any treaties that are negotiated need to be agreed to and signed by both Heads of State of the conflicting parties, one of whom is *checks notes* The President of Ukraine apparently....

Nah; just roll over and surrender already would 'ya. IMO.
