I really really hope he's not been part of some dark evil criminal cult. After some of the cases I've followed recently, nothietang would surprise me any more.
I don't think that's been suggested in any court filings. Jmo there is zero evidence of that.

ETA, I believe the investigation has been very thorough. FBI, local and state police. Simply no evidence beyond wild speculation on social media.

I think that the only thing we can be certain of (besides his guilt) -- he acted alone. He doesn't know HOW to make friends.

All the evidence imo will point to this being him, and him alone.

Delusional. It is. Like he thinks he completed his mission. Like he's a Marine after a successful exercise.

Disturbing.

JMO
Yes, so disturbing Meg. To think a mere 6 hours earlier imo he’d brutally slaughtered 4 college students and here he is taking a selfie at 10:30am imo looking quite pleased with himself giving a thumbs up after deed done/mission accomplished, while at the same time, 4 young innocent college students were laying dead where he killed them waiting to be discovered.

Like what?!?! If that isn’t the definition of an evil psychopath, I don’t know what is.

Absolutely chilling.

There is a defined group of men online who identify as being sidelined (unfairly) and bitter about it.

Do we think it's strange he has wet hair in the selfie at this time? Surely he would've showered first thing once he gets home, IMO...

2 showers in one morning?

More on the alibi

BK's Elantra "can't be" the one captured on a certain cctv because his phone wasn't moving in that area.

Um. If BK manipulated his phone (by, say, turning it off) his phone won't be showing movement in any car.

That is the worst alibi ever. It's like... no alibi.

JMO
Ridiculous. AT must know his phone was turned off IMO. Judge Hippler won't buy that at all IMO. I suppose if they want to present that as evidence of Alibi they can do so if state is given sufficient time to counter per ICRs, but it's about the weakest thing I've seen from the defense so far. Wtaf. the state will walk all over it at trial. Jmo

IMHO the photo that journalist Mike Baker posted is a printout of a digital file. Combine that with the weirdness that bright bathroom fluorescent mirrors make when it comes to the washed out skin and colors in selfie pics, and this is what you get. I'm sure the actual pic on the phone is much less washed out and odd colors.

This selfie picture would be a perfect ending for the prosecution’s closing statement.

from ex ISP forensics lab manager, Rylene Nowlin:

"7. The phrase “touch DNA” is widely used in the forensic DNA community and was used in Dr. Ruth Ballard’s expert witness disclosure for this case when referring to the DNA on the knife sheath. It is typically used to describe DNA collected from items of evidence in areas on the item that would most likely be touched by the user of that item.

8. The term “Trace DNA” implies amount. The word trace is defined as a very small amount and is used in the scientific literature when describing evidence samples with low amounts of DNA that do not yield a profile or only a partial profile. I would not be willing to use that term and it would be inappropriate to apply that term to the DNA on the knife sheath because a trace amount of DNA is not what was detected on Item 1.1, and referring to it as trace DNA would be misleading to the trier of fact. "
So, I bet more dna than the "20 cells" claimed by Howard Blum. Blum got that wrong imo and no surprises there, at least for me.

The 2nd shower was to rid him of the smell of bleach from his first shower. I say that in jest but with this dude... I wouldn't put it past him to have scrubbed down with bleach like he did his car.

JMO!

Maybe it's not wet.

Possibly he used excessive hair product? Something to inhibit leaving hair at a crime scene. Petroleum jelly maybe?

Well my autistic children have an overwhelming sense of justice and an empathy level that puts 95% of people to shame.

Autism does not ever make you a murderer. I could understand perhaps an autistic person being more likely to be involved in an accident that led to poor outcomes but it is a disgrace to suggest being autistic explains killing 4 people.
Yes!

Thank you for sharing your perspective when your knowledge is so personal.🙏

Ah, so on the car model document you need to go down to pg 28 to get to the attachments (after the filing and the PCA). And there you get multiple pages of detailed info from the FBI including a chronological timeline of time, location, and what was seen specifically about the car at that location. Maps start at page 43. Page 51 is a make model chart with actual pictures of the car from the cameras next to similar views of a 2011-2016 Honda Elantra.

This is going to be really important. The defense wants the jury to be aware of BK's conditions (autism, ocd), so they don't pass judgement on him in the courtroom based on his mannerisms, and plan to use it to rebut evidence related to certain behaviors surrounding this crime. There is also a claim in there that he would be physically unable to commit these murders.

I could buy the fine motor skills argument if he was accused of stabbing 4 people to death with a pencil, but a big a** knife? Not so much

It'll be interesting to see if the $50 dark blue Dickie's purchase at the Walmart in Pullman is confirmed. I think it will be.

But yeah, I ran the numbers on the amount of DNA that was found on the sheath, and we're probably talking about hundreds and hundreds of cells here.

Just when I think these many defense motions being submitted, almost daily, cannot get any more ridiculous, the next day comes and proves me wrong. I hope Judge Hippler's chambers have a huge waste basket, because that is where most of them need to end up. I don't even know how AT keeps a straight face when submitting some of them. JMO

I would almost bet money that it will be confirmed. So far, many of the such rumors we have heard about since early on are now being shown to be true. I think this one will be as well. JMO

My favorite is how the defense wanted the timing test thrown out because they couldn't do one themselves, as the house had been demolished.

The fact that they had like a year to do that, and agreed to its demolition, notwithstanding.

That shower rail has a white curtain hanging to the far right of the image by the looks of it!??

Also his hand looks very bruised and swollen up.
Do we know if he is left handed? Thumbs up is left hand. Not that both hands might be impacted by alleged actions he took in committing murders. OMO. All alleged.
