Jumping off this post. For anyone who doesn't know OCD often has nothing to do with "ick". Obsessive compulsive disorder is when you have a compulsion that in one's mind needs to obsessively be done. Some people need to turn a door knob three times before they can open a door, some need to do things in a certain order or their whole day is thrown off. Many people with OCD, you might not even notice it at all unless you are good friends (maybe you have a friend that cannot eat an apple unless it is cut in 8 pieces). And like anything else, there are varying degrees of OCD. But the compulsions often have nothing to do with washing your hands 10 times a day or being a germaphobe. Heck, being a serial killer smacks of harm OCD. IMO.
So this made me think again. I always assumed pocket, because I know the loop is stitched and cannot just "unattach" from a belt. It could slide off if a belt came loose, but that's about it. So how would you carry this if not on a belt? Pocket (which led me to the coveralls pocket in a previous post).
And THEN I thought carabiner, SQUARE/rectangle//triangle/D ring style (hook the carabiner through the top of the sheath, then hook it through a loop on coveralls or a belt clip where you put the sheath in the clip then clip it to a pocket or loop. {A knife would be sideways if you did this-plenty of tactical clips that can do this). IF he was trying to be fancy, either of those would have made it fairly easy to leave the sheath behind if he had to lean over the bed to get to a second person.
Yet again, another random thought.
