I expect that, among the many things that family member(s) may be asked about Bryan's life, surely someone, my guess is the sister who suspected him of being the killer, will be asked and will be able to corroborate evidence that BK had purchased a KaBar knife from Amazon, and that it was never seen in the home again, after he left for Washington, and yes, the sheath that they will surely be shown in court does look like the sheath to the knife that he bought. I also expect they may also be asked about his peculiar behavior upon returning home after the murders, about if it was normal behavior for him to wear gloves in the house, and normal for him to bag his trash and separate it from the other family members', and I expect the sister to be asked why she suspected BK enough to search his car.

I do not know how helpul BK's parents may be if called to testify, and I would expect the state to tread lightly with them, so as not to come off as unsympathetic to them, but I expect the sister's testimony to be very helpful to the state's case. JMO
Would BK's parents be able to speak to the testimony they gave to the Grand Jury in PA that was shared with ID LE?

Bolded by me.

IMO:

A quadruple murder is an extreme circumstance committed by the criminal. At that point the suspect is unpredictable and volatile. He has already exploded and may do so again. They had no way of knowing what he would do next.

There was no evidence he was going to run? He already did! There was no evidence he wasn't going to run. There was no evidence he wasn't going to hurt his family or himself. They had reason to believe he would, though.

There have been many times a suspect went on to commit more crimes before authorities acted, and they got heat for it.

It was BK who caused the trauma and damage to his family. It was his choice.

All MOO

Also we don't (yet) know if there's other serious crimes or even murders that BK may potentially have committed and hadn't been apprehended for at the time. He could have even been questioned and cleared in previous incidents, we would have know way of knowing would we?

JMO MOO

Do we know if the sister lived at the parents' home or was just visiting over the Christmas holidays. If she didn't normally live in the home but had her own place, then she might not be familiar with BK's habits of glove-wearing and trash separation issues and thus not able to testify about that. JMO.
If BK had or did not have the habit of glove wearing and trash separating during their time together growing up, I would think she could testify to that.

It's always risky IMO to put family members on the stand.

It may largely boil down to placing each member of the family/group Amazon account on the stand and at some point asking point blank, "Did you purchase a KaBar knife w/sheath and a knife sharpener from Amazon"? When everyone else truthfully answers "I did not", well...not just a nail in BK's coffin, more like a spike. JMO

I feel like there is not much point following this case now. Defendant is cooked.

His 'master plan' certainly depended on not leaving any DNA behind. Ordering the kbar on amazon is just bonkers dumb unless you plan never to be linked to the crime,

IMO this guy was just A-tier risk taker and D-tier mastermind

Yes, but there's always cross, and AT is certainly no fool.

Trust me, I believe BK is as guilty as one can be, and I'll be overjoyed when he is convicted by a jury and is serving LWOP/DP. If not arrested here in this case, I have no doubt he would have gone on to kill again.

The State has the totality of evidence that will wall this mass murderer in brick by brick.

Bye Bye Bry

That's easy and much less complicated than where my mind was going.

I suspect he was feeling pretty confident on his way to Pennsylvania knowing that he had wiped the car completely clean back in Washington state.

I think when he and his father got pulled over twice in Indiana.. that this turned on his radar again and is what made him start acting crazy again at his parents house. He knew that garbage is considered abandoned and can be used for DNA. But he thought he was smart enough to put it in his neighbors trash at night.

HOWEVER.... even early in PA, he still did not know that he had left his DNA on the knife sheath snap. But I suspect in PA, he wanted to just make sure he was going above and beyond what was really necessary in an abundance of caution.

Out of curiosity, I would love to have been a fly on the wall when LE told him his DNA was on the knife sheath. He may have soiled himself.

He was "smart enough" from his studies to know at that point to know he was in big trouble.

A most disturbing and frightening depiction of BK. What nightmares are made of, poor DM. jmo

KOHBERGER SELFIE! Police say Bryan Kohberger took this HOURS AFTER THE MURDERS of the four University of Idaho students…

He wanted a selfie to remind himself what a great job he did taking the lives of young innocent people, with personalities, looks and success he could never attain to. The picture, along with the sheaf seals his fate.
Whether he is autistic or has other disabilities doesn’t even matter at this point. No sympathies from me. If I am on the jury, he’s going down fast.

BK looks so PLEASED with his buttoned-up self in his post-cleanup-after-slaughter selfie, but the pasty complexion and the shine from the flop sweat gives away his anxiety that he left the sheath behind where LE would find it (as did his return car trip to the scene about an hour before the pic, no doubt to do a quick check for the sheath in the area surrounding where he'd been parked).

Lady Macbeth level flop sweat.

Sorry, but I can't get past that photo he took in the bathroom of his apartment later that morning.

I am white and pale... (90% English heredity)... but he is a worse-looking shade of pale and very sickly looking... but with that devilish smirk/smile.

I'm a guy.. but that photo really creeps me out.

Can you imagine the horror of seeing THAT face in the middle of the night as he stabs you, and you don’t know why?!

I think he had cleaned the sheath before the murders and was confident (even if he left it there accidentally - which I question), that his DNA would not be on it. Hence, why he seemed to be so proud of himself. Thank God for him leaving the DNA on the sheath... or we would still not know who did this horrible crime.

That photo is creepier than the Ted Bundy bug eyes photo.

When I see pictures of BK in court, it is frightening that he would be released even to the general population of prison. A face like that needs to be isolated from public view.

And it looks like the blood has been drained out of him. CREEPY! JMO

To me that's the creepiest part. He looks like a vampire.

I couldn't put my finger on it, but you are right!

I mean he stays up late at night, stalks victims in their homes, and is all about blood.

In that photo, does he have earbuds in? Or is that something else. Really looks like there is something dangling below both of his ears.

Or is that just his hair or sideburns?
