The main problem though, is this:ABC News apparently is the media source of this new information and their reporter mentions that the defense will likely use this unsolved case to suggest that there was another break-in close by (in Pullman) with that suspect wearing a mask and with a knife just one year before the Idaho murders and that he could have been the perpetrator of the Idaho murders.

Video New twist in Idaho College murders case
Officials now say the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, was investigated in connection with an earlier home invasion.abcnews.go.com
Young man kills young women.it's always sexually motivated. there is no other motive. unless it's something like infamy but it's still sexually a motivated attack mOO
Or, there was simply no Federal crime to indict him on; it wouldn't matter how much evidence there was in that case. Knowing what we know now, I see nothing they could have charged him with.BK's case has lots of Federal Warrants and a Federal Grand Jury which apparently investigated BK thoroughly and failed to indict him. Considering all the warrants, this means there must not have been enough evidence to indict. It also appears the FBI has backed off of BK as being a part of this case. The other thing all this FGJ stuff proves is that this case is not about a wannabe serial killer nor about some one acting on their own. FGJ's DO NOT handle those types of cases.
All JMO.

It was reported that there was about 71 Federal Grand Jury subpoenas during the May 30, 2024 Motion to compel hearing which was mentioned by Elisa and it was reported by the Idaho Statesman newspaper too. Elisa said that some of the federal grand subpoenas were before Bryan was arrested and some were later after he was arrested and some were much later after his was arrested.BK's case has lots of Federal Warrants and a Federal Grand Jury which apparently investigated BK thoroughly and failed to indict him. Not necessarily. Ted Bundy did mass killings. Many serial type killers enjoy the violence of the attacks as much, if not more, than the actual SA. Sometimes they just do the killing portion because that's what satiates them. For who though and why would he murder 4 people for that? Usually in sexually motivated murders it is only one person (usually a woman) who gets murdered.
IMO the defense would not use that as it has nothing to do with the case whatsoever. That is a totally useless defense IMO. Shows they have next to nothing.
Yup, AFAIK, he targeted one of the girls and the other victims were collateral damage to him.it's always sexually motivated. there is no other motive. unless it's something like infamy but it's still sexually a motivated attack mOO
JMHO sounds like obsession yet there hasn't been any evidence of stalking (that we know of yet).Yup, AFAIK, he targeted one of the girls and the other victims were collateral damage to him.
Then watch the hearings from last May. Elisa Massoth discussed this in court.I must have missed all the Federal Warrants and the Federal Grand Jury stuff concerning BK.
Could you supply some links or point me in the right direction so I can read up on it all.
Thanks.
Bundy, Speck, Kohberger.Yup, AFAIK, he targeted one of the girls and the other victims were collateral damage to him.
Absolutely not. There is no evidence of that, no evidence BK knew or knew of any of the victims. Rewatch the hearings from last May. This is NOT the kind of case you think it is.Yup, AFAIK, he targeted one of the girls and the other victims were collateral damage to him.

Accused Idaho Killer Bryan Kohberger Repeatedly Messaged One of the Victims on Instagram: Source
"He was persistent," an investigative source on the case tells PEOPLEpeople.com
A stranger doesn't have to know a person to target them.Absolutely not. There is no evidence of that, no evidence BK knew or knew of any of the victims. Rewatch the hearings from last May. This is NOT the kind of case you think it is.
Common sense says that's exactly what happened. He didnt' have to "know" one of these victims, but I think it's very likely one of them caught his eye.Absolutely not. There is no evidence of that, no evidence BK knew or knew of any of the victims. Rewatch the hearings from last May. This is NOT the kind of case you think it is.
