Those talking about the 'two knives' theory.

I'm personally reserving my judgement on that, because knives sometimes change their characteristics if they've been damaged in the course of an attack.

So one knife can leave two different wound types in those circumstances.

We know two girls were attacked very brutally, here. That a knife might be damaged in the course of an attack like the one in question is entirely possible.

I’ve been following this case since from the beginning and although I do not have a link, I recall reading an article with LE saying something about an “unusual knife” being used in the murder. Back then they were looking at a possible suspect named James Brian Chadwell. IMO he looked much like the first sketch and he used to post lots of photos of the Monon bridge area, him living in the woods, a bicycle hidden in a tree, kayaking and fishing near the bridge, as well as disturbing posts about a “lil redhead”. He had posted one particular photo of his drawing board with an earie drawing and it showed a strategically placed unusual shaped knife and handle on the edge of the drawing board.
IMO, it was as if he was purposely leaving “signs” to taunt LE that he knew the exact area where the girls were found.
Although he sits in prison today for a very long time, for a different horrible crime, I’ve always felt that there was some connection to him in some way to his horrible crime.IMO

I don't think than when JBC was a suspect that we knew how the victims were killed. I don't think we knew that until the first Franks.

I think it had only come out that they were killed with an “edged” weapon and no other details had come out at all. Though there were rumors in the early, early days of police asking tippers if the poi they were tipping in had any unusual or curved weapons

(Derrick told the jury he left the home at 1:20 p.m. to take photos for appraisal properties in Frankfort owned by the Pattys. Half-way there Libby called him to pick them up from the bridge. Derrick told Libby he had photos to take and he finished the work and went to pick up the girls.)

This phone activity we did not know.

That is new info. About how long after arriving at the bridge did Libby call him, can anyone estimate?

Even if they explain the "confessions" and show how he may have picked up details from all over the place... sadly, most jurors are inclined to take "confessions" at face value... MOOO.

I'm not sure how they will react to completely false (gunshots to the back and killing his unborn/future grandchildren) confessions, though, sprinkled in the mix.

As always, JMO.

Pushing out a theory to test how people online react to it is a no-no IMO, especially with a gag order in place.

Yet, they did it.
The defense making these arguments isn’t an indication that they don’t think he did it. They’d make them regardless of what they believed.

They can make up any scenario they want, which is why I find it strange they’d go with this one.
Are they still trying to use the Odinist Cult story? Perhaps they think it appeals to any of the conspiracy theorists on the jury.

Delphi to Frankfort is 31 minutes. Halfway there would be roughly 1:35 pm.

Mmmm.....maybe I'm missing something here here, but, defense said the prosecution's timeline puts Allen in a parking lot near the trail at 1:30 p.m. but his cellphone data shows he was gone by 2:15 p.m.
Ok......

Derrick, Libby's Dad told the jury he left the home at 1:20 p.m. to take photos for appraisal properties in Frankfort owned by the Pattys. Half-way there (1:45pm or 1:50pm?) Libby called him to pick them up from the bridge. Derrick told Libby he had photos to take and he finished the work and went to pick up the girls.

Let's say for argument sake, RA did leave by 2:15. It doesn't matter, their time in the area overlapped.
He still could have done it.

Google says Delphi to Frankfort is 32 minutes so probably shortly before they arrived at the bridge
Oh! I misunderstood. I know they previously arranged with him to pick them up, but I thought this new info was they wanted him to come get them earlier than arranged, that they wanted to go home soon than expected.

I want to see what proof the defense has of this….and what the prosecution has.

I think it works out to be while she was still at home, but it sounds like the call was to arrange FOR a pick up ( which would be later) and not a 'we're ready to be picked up already'. At the most, they were in the car still, on their way there, if they'd left at all.

Libby wasn't at the bridge when she called him to ask if he could pick her and Abby up. She was at home arranging a ride home because they couldn't go if they didn't have a ride home. DP didn't get to the bridge until 3:00-3:30ish. JMO
