Nit picking - did he say he was using *his* phone? or that he watch watching the stock ticker? Do we know if he said HIS phone? Just wondering. Not moo -this is an actual question in case anyone happens to know. Ty.
That's using the phone, the internet

Sharing now because even though we've probably all seen this, I watched again last week it was a good reminder/visual of the trails and bridge. I watched on Max, but it's on other paid platforms as well.

A theory on why the RA tip was cleared, the IMEI number in the tip was not found in the cell tower dump, ergo he was not there.
No evidence for this, just an idea.
Excellent idea. So someone maybe thought he was just looking for attention/bragging to his wife 'I was there', like the story about the fish that got away....

This is why the suspect for Elizabeth and Lyric was cleared - no cell phone data near the crime areas. It’s utterly ridiculous to clear someone bc their phone wasn’t there. A criminal or group of criminals who know what they’re doing will not have their personal phones with them during a crime. A burner, yes.

I was under the impression, he was interrupted when they left the bridge and went down the steep embankment. But there is a driveway there.

After listening to Grey Hughes I can see he marched them quite aways before he reaches the spot he looks to have his way with them.

Also Hughes wonders if at that point the girls ran from him at that spot. Possibly running across the river away from him.
Until he caught up with them and marched them to the murder spot.

I hope none of us here is a juror in RA's trial, otherwise the trial is in trouble! (sorry, sad, tired humour)

If I were on the jury, I would still vote "guilty". Careful analysis of the evidence and witness testimony do show he's guilty BARD. JMO

I'm making a note for future reference to not follow anymore cases in Indiana. It's too frustrating and I don't think things will improve there. I thought Ohio was bad (and it is), but it spent the money to build a good state bureau of criminal investigation whose employees are required to receive regular training and certification in their specialty areas. It seems they have very rigorous guidelines for conducting criminal investigations.

It was suggested to me by my spouse that the chunk of time after Libby's phone stopped moving circa 2:30 and when BG was seen by the witness driving down the road circa 4:00 was used to take pictures......creepy thought. Also that he made be copies of pictures for the families at no charge.

Creeps like this want trophies. Is it possible he could have put his phone in airplane mode and taken pictures which he then made copies of at home or work? Then pulverized the phone so that couldn't be traced?

I rewatched this too right before trial started. One thing confirmed for me in listening to Sheriff Tobe, the fire chief (name?), MP and BP...the search and many searchers continued throughout the night. There were lots of people and lights to make an early morning return to the crime scene rather idiotic for any offender(s). IMO, AJMO

Hypothetically, let’s say Allen is found not guilty. Some people will then say, “good, now I hope they catch the real killer.”

Logically, nothing is wrong with the first part. But recognize this. There is no world where anyone else would ever be charged for this crime.

As far as evidence goes, this is the best you could have against anyone.

DNA isn’t going to magically appear. Another bullet is never going to also match. No one else is going to suddenly put themselves there that day (where you could prove it). No one else is going to confess to things that only the killer could know (cat out of the bag there).

Not guilty means it’s over, and BG can breathe a sigh of relief.

There are many, many cases where juries have convicted with only circumstantial evidence. And, IIRC, circumstantial evidence generally holds the same weight as direct evidence. However, in this particular case AND at this particular point in the trial, I'm of the opinion the jurors will likely want more concrete evidence than has been presented. There could be more evidence to be presented in the days to come, AND it's very possible I'm completely wrong. ;) I wasn't suggesting circumstantial cases never result in the accused being convicted. Also, there's no Krystal Kenney-type witness in this trial as there was in the PF trial.
True. But, this trial will have a brave, fast thinking young woman with a video.
;0)

The Farris case I'm currently following (and mentioned earlier in these threads) is also all circumstantial evidence. There was far more circumstantial evidence presented in that case, and I believe the accused to be guilty. However, there are many who don't agree (per comments while watching). It's just the nature of people... and jury members are just people who may or may not agree on the strength of evidence.

The FBI agent who applied for the Ron Logan search warrant thought the killer probably “memorialized” the crime with photos and videos. OTOH, she also wrote that Logan, a tall and elderly man, looked like BG.

I hear ya -- I'm trying to ascertain if he said it was HIS phone or just a phone? Curious is all

Can someone help with this point.

Have I heard this correctly, Libby’s phone drains of battery around 10pm but then came to life at around 4am? Is that correct and if so how?

There's evidence, dare I say a mountain of it, directly from RA yet to come. This coming week should be very interesting. MO

This week is the case. If we don’t feel good about things after that, then we should be very worried.

Her phone shut down then, a little after 10pm. That's my understanding. So not a dead battery, just the phone going into low battery mode, shutting certain things down to extend the remaining battery life.

He sure seems like the culprit, imo, so I'm ready for more evidence! Like, everyone here, though... I despise the way we have to get the trial info/testimony.
