Yes I'm aware it's an estimation but found it odd he testified it was 41 hours prior to autopsy, why did he state it that way and not give his estimated time.

Why didn't he just state what time he carried out the autopsies in addition to the 41 hours?
Why didn't the Defense ask him that question on cross? They had the discovery materials.

I tend to keep in mind the old addage, "don't ask questions that you won't like the answer to" myself.

I’m really looking forward to this part of the testimony. Let’s see if the state gets the mileage they expect out of these “confessions.” I suspect this may be a “bombshell” but one that may blow up in the state’s face. JMHO, of course :).
The state need a good day in court IMO.

They've failed to create a compelling link between RA and BG. Their bullet expert conceded it could have come from a gun other than RA's. Then Holeman tried to row back on where and when they think RA's car was, which undermines an element of the state's timeline.

So there's a huge amount riding on the confessions for the state. Although again I'll point out we haven't seen and don't know what other evidence that was allegedly held back from the PCA will be presented before they finish so we'll hopefully see this week what they have.

I sincerely hope its more weighty than insinuations, conjecture and speculation.

Interesting. RA would talk about the crime to others. Did he ever mention to others that he also happened to be on the trail the afternoon of the murders, and he’d provided helpful information to LE? You would think he’d be proud to share that information to his friends - given that he was being a helpful citizen, and all.

“We were all sitting at the table there, we were having a pool night, and just having fun—we were snapping pictures and everything,” Matlock recalled. “Every business in town had those [sketches] up. It just happened to be, he was sitting there at the time. But to me, that did not resemble Rick… My other patrons around town [would] come in for breakfast or lunch, everybody would say, ‘Christ, that don’t look like anybody,’ or, ‘It could be anybody.’”
Delphi Bar Owner Recalls Murder Suspect Richard Allen Sitting Inches Away From ‘Wanted’ Sketch

which is why the state (rightly IMO) wanted it out. Because it looked like anybody and nobody. MOO it was not a good sketch, I am not maligning the sketch artist, I imagine it is difficult to try to bring to life an image based solely on descriptions others.

I was looking forward to hearing his report and it just left me SMH. The fact that he changed his testimony on the witness stand and had talked to the P but not the D has made me lose trust. I'm not a fan of blindsiding either the P or the D. So now I'm questioning everything about his testimony.

I want to see exactly when he did the autopsies. How long it took for him to complete them. How extensive they were. Did he test the girls to see if someone had drugged them, especially Abby... laying there so peacefully seems so odd.

Disclaimer: In NO way am I implying that anyone, other than the killer, may have drugged either one of the girls.
[snips]
Kohr estimated that the girls died approximately 41 hours before the autopsy.
Rozzi said that during deposition on Feb. 27, 2024, Kohr said the girls had been dead between 24 and 48 hours.

He had a bladed weapon to her neck, she was probably terrified to even breathe, one slight movement. In order to slaughter her as he did, he may have been on top of her on the ground straddling her. Couldn't move if she wanted to and probably didn't dare to.

I don't think we can rule out soft restraints either, ties he may have taken with him.

I think Abby didn't move because she couldn't. By his design.

Wow. Ok this is the first time I actually see it. Thank you so much for sharing, this is... wow. I am sure there are other explanations but it is such a perfect imprint... IMO
Once you do see it, you never unsee it. MOO

Weird not to have an update yet. My guess is they’re playing the police interviews, which I imagine they’d play without breaks, and reporters wouldn’t want to miss any of.

I think its the state's DNA expert Stacy Bozinovski on first.

Very strange. I expect her to say nothing of great substance, and figured it would be relatively quick.

And what about the scarf at the crime scene?

Wouldn't it be something if KA gets on the stand and testifies that is actually hers?

That is totally speculation on my part but I wouldn't be surprised if they have something big like that.

Maybe they need some extra time to get the $70k AV podium to work first... ;)

From the Carroll County Comet on today's proceedings:

It’s day 9 in the State of Indiana vs Richard Allen. It’s also been two years today since Allen was arrested and charged with four counts of felony murder in the deaths of Abigail Williams and Liberty German. After a delay Friday, when former Indiana State Police, Forensic Firearms Examiner Melissa Oberg testified for seven hours, we anticipate we will finally hear from a DNA expert. That testimony is expected to be lengthy.

So the exact opposite of what I thought. Ok then!

You know - him being overdressed in an unseasonably warm day. I bet he removed At the very least that jacket during the whole thing. He could have put it down somewhere that kept it “clean”. Not saying it stayed clean, but cleaner than if he had been wearing it. I would think he would have been to hot to wear all of that plus restraining and whatever else went on.

Just never had the thought of his own clothes being removed.

There was a green scarf found at the crime scene and it looks to me like "BG" might be wearing a scarf around his neck area under the jacket. There is something sticking out there.
