CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #4

Still nothing new? No further information from the 35 who were brought in for formal interviews?
Do our Canadian sleuthers think this is "normal" that absolutely nothing has been put out to msm? After all this time these kiddies being "missing" RCMP still saying absolutely nothing?
100% normal protocol with Canadian cases.

This may have been addressed before, but I'm confused as to how they knew they were playing outside? In mom's interview:

"They were outside playing, but we weren’t aware of it at the time, and the next thing we knew it was quiet. We get up and I tell him, my partner, Daniel, I tell him, do you hear the kids? And he says no. We get up instantly and we’re looking outside. We’re looking everywhere, yelling for them, and I instantly just called 911. I just had the instinct I needed to call."

Weren't aware of it at the time? How are they aware of it NOW, then? Was a door left open that they didn't notice at first? I'm also wondering how big the home is, considering both parents are inside the home but don't notice the children go outside for, seemingly, a decent bit of time. MOO.

ETA: I have lived in a trailer like that before and there is no such thing as a quiet door in those damn things lol. Often the handles are stiff and hard to open, especially if they're old.

Was just thinking back to MBM’s interview, the day after the children went missing. In all fairness it wasn’t an actual interview as questions weren’t being asked. She made this comment about wanting the children in their beds at the end of it. As it turns out she left her home at Lansdowne Station that very same day so I feel I should wonder what beds she was referring to as she apparently left and went somewhere else that night?

Last night was one of the worst nights because I didn’t have them in their beds, and I don’t want to go another night without them,” said Brooks-Murray.

“Any information is needed because at this point, we’re scared and we don’t know what to do,” said Brooks-Murray.

It seems like nothing is happening. The thread has already gone quiet and nothing on msn. What could possibly be going on behind the scenes right now? Do we have any bits of anything to chew on? I pray for a break
That is one good thing about LE giving press conferences - keeps it in the news and attention on Lilly and Jack.

Moo

It has been too long. Two young kids don't just vanish without a trace. I'm confident RCMP has a pretty good idea of what happened. At this point I'm convinced a member of the household or immediate family has done something to these babies. RCMP is likely building their case quietly and we won't hear much until an arrest is made. I hope I'm wrong. This is just speculation and my opinion, of course.

While we all know it’s coming and likely nefarious at this point -

Does anyone else have dread lingering and know it’s going to hit like a ton of bricks when they are found? 😔
I squint and hold my breath every single time I come back to this thread. When I realize the title hasn’t been updated I can relax and get caught up.

First I had shooed my partner Daniel to his mother and his brother (on the same property) for asking about my children's whereabouts .....

I was thinking about these kids when I woke today, remembering when we first heard about them. I really had hope then that they would be found safely somehow after an adventure in the woods. But now… it’s been too long and there are too many questions.

Too many questions and no answers. I check this thread out at least 3-4 times a day with hopes they were found safe, but as time is going by I'm scared that won't be the case.

This case cant be cold. It has only been three weeks. I do not know much about Canadian process for missing children but it seems they went on the wrong path and lost time investigating dead ends. It seems like resources are limited also. Maybe they only had enough support to do the ground search- now that it has turned up nothing, hopefully they are investigating the other people around these children now. [Mod Snip}

I read something about his brother having a record? Has anyone else read or seen that? Also, I have read Canada only has one cadaver dogs. Has anyone else read that?
LOL... our country may be in severe trouble financially, but I can assure you Canada wide there are many police dogs, of them I don't know how many are specifically cadaver trained, probably 75???? The city of Toronto alone has 29 police dogs. The city of Vancouver has 13 dogs. The city of Halifax has 8. It's a huge country with many police departments... local... provincial, and federal depts, military, and many private SAR companies.... all with dogs.
Cases don't go "cold" for many years. They might have zero evidence, but they are never "cold" until a certain time period has lapsed, and is it a magic number? I don't think so.

''The RCMP has 12 human remains detection dogs "strategically located in divisions across Canada," said national RCMP spokesperson Amanda Perry. Four additional teams will begin training in August, she said.

She declined to disclose the locations or distribution, or say if any are in New Brunswick.

"It is a unique specialist profile that trains the dog teams to identify and locate human decomposition odour. HRD dogs can find scent at different stages of decomposition," Perry said in an emailed statement.''

During the initial training course, each RCMP police dog is assigned a specialty profile, either narcotics, explosives or human remains, said spokesperson Amanda Perry. These odours are imprinted into the dogs. RCMP use only German shepherds. (Blair Rhodes/CBC)
"It is important to note, that all of our current 138 general duty police service dogs can search for missing persons, deceased or alive," she added.

''The general duty dog teams are also "strategically posted across the country," in undisclosed locations, and eight additional teams are currently in training, Perry said.''

They did water search too. Or is that counted as ground search? idk.
They are investigating people around the children - 35 people interviewed / being interviewed. There are sources for interviewing people and for water and ground searches already in the thread(s).

it seems they went on the wrong path and lost time investigating dead ends.
It would have been inconceivable not to search in wider and wider circles around the property and back into the woods. MOO If they hadn't, people would've criticised that too.

Dead ends can only be classified as such after the search, so not a waste of time, no. MOO

Resources are limited according to this interview https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.6758265
especially financial for volunteer SAR. I have no idea if it's similar in other countries like the US, but I imagine so. MOO
