CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #4

DM has said a lot of things. None of which can be supported because RCMP isn't saying anything. Per articles, both MDM and DM have been cautioned not to talk to the press/public about the ongoing investigation into the missing children per multiple statements by them and those around them. DM is again doing just that.

This leads to a lot of speculation based solely on DM's many public statements. He claims CAS will not allow him to see his daughter. We don't know that is true but it's hard to imagine why he would lie about such a thing. Certain other statements could be construed as self serving:

They (RCMP) aren't treating me like a suspect.
I'm the only one fighting for them (children).
I've insisted on a polygraph for everyone.
I've passed my poly.
etc.

But that statement that CAS won't allow him to see his child cannot be construed in that way since it does nothing but make him look suspect (smoke/fire). So I believe him when he says that because it doesn't make him appear to be a victim it makes one wonder WHY? JMO thoughts.
He did follow up that statement with something along the lines of "they just want to keep things on a tight leash right now" (which is not how CAS works).

Hes done similar in the past such as saying her backpack WAS white. Then he says something like he imagines it would be brown by now.

Make of that what you will.

Sometimes I cannot bear to read another case about missing children, so I have diligently avoided this thread.

However, since this forum about these two children is prominent at the top of the page, I’ve found myself occasionally checking the last post every few days to see if they’ve been found.

I see they haven’t and it’s just too shattering.

I don’t know all the facts nor the theories, just that they’re Canadian, indigenous, missing from home and something confusing about the parents, I gather?

I give my likes and loves to all of you who are tackling this case. Of course I hope they are found safely, but in my mainly uninformed opinion, they’ve been missing for too long for that outcome. I hope to be wrong.

Are you asking for a link for something that didn't happen? From many of the links already posted, we know that the children's mom and younger sibling went to live with her mom, the grandmother of Lilly and Jack. We also know that the police asked the family not to speak to the media. The media has been very respectful of that. There is no media to support your implication that the toddler was picked up by child welfare services, and we certainly don't want to start such a rumour.

You said "If the mom was mentally unstable, then child welfare would have determined that she was unfit to care for the youngest child, and the toddler would have been removed from her care. That hasn't happened." The last sentence is pretty definitive IMO.

My point is, unless you have a link that says otherwise, neither you nor I know whether or not this has happened. And if it had happened, we still wouldn't know, as such things are kept highly confidential.

I wasn't implying CPS took custody of the child. In fact, I think it's unlikely. But I wouldn't state definitively one way or another because we simply do not know.

Here is the street view of their house. I traveled down the street both ways for a while and there is nothing around but woods. I'm in the camp where either 1) their deaths were covered up by some family member or 2) possibly cougars. Cougars typically hunt and kill deer, but if they were around their house and saw an easy prey, like little children, they would grab and run with them.

Cougars are an endangered species in Nova Scotia and the logging industry could possibly cover up sightings because they would be shut down.

I would have thought there would be plenty of evidence if a Cougar had attacked them.

I agree with this. I don't think cougars eat bones, but there would also likely be drag marks or other evidence. I'm leaning towards the first option... but I'm not exactly sure WHO that would be.
I don't think there's anything that eats an entire corpse, not to mention rubber boots and backpacks.

If they passed away in the woods, no matter the cause, there should be evidence of scavengers which 160+ volunteers would know to look for.

Im not sure how accurate it is, as I was just watching a YouTube documentary on missing people, but it stated in the majority of cases they find signs of the missing person within 10 days. Here we have two missing persons, no signs.

I don't think they're in the woods, in my opinion.

To be fair, I think pigs have been known to eat entire corpses including bones, but I doubt they would touch backpacks or rubber boots. I also don't know if wild pigs are even in that area. I live in Texas and wild hogs are a huge problem here (so much so that you can hunt/kill them at any time to lessen the population), but even still, there are many cases where remains are still found.

Funny I was just gonna say Boars /pigs eat everything ( just think of Pickton) but I dont think there are wild boars in Nova Scotia? AFAIK

Candle light vigil for Lilly and Jack tonight. I believe there is a way to watch online.

No, wild boars are not currently found in Nova Scotia. While there were some wild boar farms in Nova Scotia in the past, they have been eradicated.

Eta:
While it is rare for pigs to encounter an entire body to consume, there have been documented cases where pigs have eaten the bodies of humans or other animals. In these cases, the pigs typically consumed the body in stages, over several days or weeks.
It's important to note that pigs are not typically aggressive towards humans and do not normally seek to eat them. However, in extreme situations, such as starvation or confinement, they may behave in unexpected ways.

Lots of people have pet pigs in my area, but unless done intentionally, it would require pet pigs to happen to get out at the same time and same location two little kids happened to wander away from home.

And I imagine there would still be signs of other scavengers.

So far as we know, there are zero signs of abduction and zero signs they wandered off into the woods one month ago.

“Martell also told Global News he hasn’t had contact with the children’s mother since May 3, when she left the area.“

IRC we do know MBM asked police to pick up a couple of the baby’s stuffies from the house. But otherwise she reportedly left her home on May 3rd after sitting in the back of an ambulance. Nobody said, was she driven away in it?

DMs statement suggests she hasn’t contacted him to arrange collecting her personal belongings. He said they’d been living in the mobile home for two years. How could a person just walk out and not take anything, her clothing, little ones clothings, keepsakes, mementoes and such? Oddly G&M published a photo a couple of weeks ago of an art piece that Lilly had drawn, a red heart that said “mom I love you” on the wall so MBM left that behind.

Police routinely escort someone moving out to pick up their belongings so mitigate any risk of confrontation. Not taking anything makes it seem as if she’s presently somewhere where she’s provided for.

I’m really beginning to think the mystery surrounding MBM’s anti-presence is key to unlocking the disappearance of her children.

Would they be allowed to remove anything if trailer is being regarded a crime scene or potential for a crime scene? I think of the Sherman home that was demolished without so much as hankering for a familiar object or something from their childhood, not to mention the potential for evidence that was overlooked even while case is still an active one.... just levelled..... I understand all the horrid thoughts of what took place in that house, but to disregard their youth or momentos of parents? Says a ton to me!
